Chapter 5: Dinner and More.

*Eleina’s POV*

Luckily, it only took us ten minutes to make it to the dining room. How? Vina and I cheated. There are random secret passage ways in this castle. Why she even knew about them, I have no idea.

Anyway, using those secret passages, we made it to the dining room at record pace. When I got there, some people were already present.

Damn… their Mistress is that type of woman, huh? I sat down at the table, and a few minutes later, all of the women, who I assume are lovers of that blond woman, made it to the dining room.

All of them looked to be above the age of twenty, each had a decent sized bust. And it goes without saying, but all of them are beauties. In every sense of the word.

It would not be wrong to say that the blond woman is collecting cute girls. There are tons of different types of women present at the table.

From humans, beastkin, to elves. It’s like she traveled the entire world just to find cute girls. All in all, there are twelve different women at the table, counting me.

So she has a harem? That’s cool, I guess. Ah, now my dinner has been delivered to me. Yep… steak once again. I am not the only one who dislikes having the same food for each meal.

The others at the table looked displeased as well. Most likely more than me, since they have probably had to eat steak for a decent while. You know… you can do other meals with meat, right?

I look to the woman to my right, who just so happens to be a dog girl, and ask her a question.

Eleina: “How long have you all been eating steak? Ah, my name is Eleina.” I ask with a curious tone.

???: “A pleasure to meet you, Eleina. My name is Beniu. And how long has it been? Hm… years, I think?” She said with an unsure tone.

Beniu had cute brown dog ears and a dog tail. Her eyes and hair are also brown. She is very cute!

Eleina: “Years? I understand only having meat, but you can do way more meals with meat, than just steak…” I say with a sigh.

Beniu: “Truly? Haha. We know that. It’s just that, there are no cooks here that can make anything other than steak.” She said with a laugh.

Eleina: “Huh? Why?” I ask with a confused tone.

Beniu: “This kingdom was taken over by…” Her sentence was cut off.

Vina: “Lady Beniu, Lady Eleina has not learned her name yet. Please refrain from telling her it.” She said with a stern tone.

Wow… Beniu even backed down. Is Vina more important than I originally thought? Let’s just assume that she is. Vina is most likely another vampire, under the blond woman. No one else at the table spoke out against what she said to Beniu, so that’s my best assumption.

Beniu: “Right… this kingdom was taken over by our Mistress. It was a ruthless takeover, killing all of the royals, and all of the nobles. This even extended to most of the staff, with only an apprentice cook being left alive.” She explained.

Eleina: “Let me guess, they were left alive, because the cook was a beautiful woman, right?” I ask with a sigh.

Beniu: “How’d you know? Ah, anyway, that would be correct. Though, she is not beautiful enough for our Mistress to take as a pet. Just as a cook.” She said.

Eleina: “And why hasn’t she learned any new recipes?” I ask with a head tilt.

The woman to my left then jumped into the conversation.

???: “She is inept, and we are all from noble families. As such, we have no idea about cooking either. Ah, my name is Lena, it’s a pleasure to get a new sister so soon.” She said with a smile.

Lena had long black hair down to her waist and golden eyes. Like Beniu, she is quite the beauty as well.

Eleina: “Sisters?” I ask with a confused expression.

Lena: “Sisters, as our Mistresses pets. Oh, do not be upset. She treats us quite well. Rather than just pets, she does treat us as lovers somewhat.” She said with a giggle.

Eleina: “Then why call ourselves pets?” I ask.

Beniu: “Because that is what she sees us as. Our Mistress is very, very long lived. In that sense, the time she knows us, and by the time we would normally die, is very short to her. Like how a dog dies way before their owner, we’re the same to her.” She explained.

Fuck… so she doesn’t make them immortal? Isn’t that like, the entire point of love between a vampire? At least, it is in books… Beautiful vampire, falls in love with a mortal, and then makes them immortal. That’s standard fucking protocol…

Vina: “Lady Eleina.” She said, making my attention drift to her.

I’ve just realized that I never told Vina my name. She only heard it when I told it to Beniu… Oops! Almost pissed off a vampire…

Eleina: “Yes?” I reply.

Vina: “Our Mistress is quite young for a vampire. She only just recently would be considered to have turned an adult. Give her fifty or more years with you all, and she will see you as her wives, and not as pets.” She explained with a warm tone.

Eleina: “Wouldn’t I be old and dusty by that point?” I ask with a head tilt.

Beniu: “Vina, was she not told? You know how such a revelation is quite shocking… I would have assumed that she’d already know.” Beniu said with a concerned tone.

Eleina: “Know what?” I ask.

Vina: “Lady Eleina, I am sorry. I forgot to tell you that all of our Mistresses pets, are immortal. That goes for you as well.” She said with a remorseful tone and a bow.

Huh? What the fuck?… I am immortal now? Novels didn’t lie to me!? Hooray! Yeah, immortality would suck, but if I get to be loved by a beautiful vampire woman the entire time, I think that I would be extremely happy.

Granted, I have to wait for her to marinate with us first… But I’m sure that I can make her fall quicker! My rampant delusions while in the hospital, I will now finally get some use out of them!

Ah, I was soooo happy… that I ended up passing out then and there. Ah… my steak, I didn’t even take a bite out of it yet…
