*THUD!!!*
With a heavy sound, the abomination crashed against the ground and was crushed into meat paste. Pieces of its body flew to the surroundings.
*Thud!* Aleen and Aya fell half a second later.
When Aleen and Aya touched the ground, they rolled aside to try to reduce the impact of the fall.
Despite it, both of them felt as though their bones were being crushed.
Fortunately, Aleen’s sword helped to reduce their speed greatly, so they did not suffer any major injury despite the pain.
At most, Aleen strained his right arm, that was holding the sword, and his right ankle, that took most of the impact of the fall; but such injuries could be healed after circulating his mana a few times.
On the other hand, the injury in his stomach was more serious.
After he was stabbed by the stubble guy’s arm, Aleen had to face the abomination without treating the injury; and after it, he jumped from a fifteen-floors height. Due to it, the injury had widened greatly, and if not because Aleen was using his mana to stop the bleeding, he could have bled to death long ago.
After five seconds, the pair finally stood up slowly. Lily had been standing from the moment they reached the ground; apparently, she suffered the least during the fall.
“… Are you fine?” Aleen asked while examining the condition of his body.
“… Mm. Thanks to you.” Aya nodded slowly.
Aleen put on a wry smile and shook his head. He then looked towards the place where the abomination fell.
“Let’s see how it is…”
Aya nodded and followed after him.
The abomination had been completely crushed after it fell down. Its heavy body had been broken into pieces with some parts flying until fifteen meters away. It even created a small crater in the place where it fell.
But when Aleen saw it, his expression turned heavy.
Because though it was in such a disastrous state, it was still alive.
Aleen could see some pieces of flesh twitching and moving creepily while trying to reconstruct the level-three monster.
“… Is this thing immortal?” He asked involuntarily.
Aya also looked to the scene with a grave expression. Though they were able to survive against the abomination this time, none of them was confident in escaping from it again.
Fortunately, it did not seem like it was able to reconstruct its body soon.
“… What are we going to do now? The portal was destroyed.” Aya asked with a slightly worried tone.
Aleen closed his eyes and thought for a moment. “The game will end in another twenty minutes; however, our score will reduce because we failed the mission. That is not a problem for me, but I’m not sure about you.”

“…What do you mean?”
“If your battlefield score is negative when the game ends, you will die.”
Aya’s expressionless look hardened immediately.
After a few seconds, she recovered and asked again. “How do I know if my score is enough?”
“I don’t know.” Aleen shook his head helplessly. “However, I think that it’s better if you kill as many monsters as possible to increase your probabilities.”
“… Do you have any idea?”
Aleen thought for one second before answering. “It would be great if you can kill the level-three abomination, but unfortunately, I don’t think we can do it unless we burn it to ashes or something like that; so we’ll have to take the second option: To kill the greatest number of weak monsters possible.”
Aya fell silent for a moment before opening her eyes wide and looking towards Aleen in astonishment. “Do you mean…”
Aleen nodded helplessly. “It’s your only option now. The horde of level-one zombies is too far away and the time is not enough to go there, so, if you want to kill many monsters, the spiders are the best option.”
Aya gulped nervously, but in the end, she nodded. “You are right.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll go with you.” Aleen consoled her. “Besides, though the spiders are dangerous, we probably can endure for a while if we fight them in the correct place. If we take into account the time we'll use to reach them, we only need to endure for around ten minutes, and then, the administrators will take us away.”
Aya nodded in understating.
The two humans and one cat then decided to return towards the place where they faced the spiders. Because they were short of time, they ran at full speed despite the pain caused by the fall.
After ten minutes, they entered the sewers and reached to the door leading to the escape tunnel.
The door was still closed, and the spiders had not opened it yet, but Aleen could hear the occasional noise of spiders’ legs scratching against the door.
Aleen observed the surroundings and gave a sigh of relief.
“This is a good place to face the spiders. They have to go through the door to attack us, and only two or three of them will be able to pass at the same time.”
Aya nodded in understating.
“I’ll open the door then.” Aleen put a serious expression and held his sword firmly. “Remember, you must try to kill as many spiders as possible.”
“… Okay.” Aya grabbed her short-spear and put a serious expression.
“Very well. One, two, and three!”
With that as the signal, the door was opened.
Immediately, many spiders rushed towards them.
Ten minutes later, Aleen and Aya were panting while killing spiders nonstop.
Their surroundings were filled with blood and corpses. The number of spiders they had killed during the last ten minutes could be counted in the hundreds, with Aleen killing most of them and Aya killing the rest.
They, however, were not completely uninjured after facing the spiders for so long. Both Aleen, Aya, and even the cat Lily, were covered in injuries. Lily had an enormous gash going from her stomach until her neck, and if not because she was fast enough to move away when she received that injury, she would have died.
Aya, on the other hand, was enduring solely thanks to her willpower; but even so, her consciousness was already very fussy and the loss of blood was beginning to affect her.
Of them, Aleen was is the best condition, but even he was beginning to show signs of fatigue. Fortunately, though, the spiders could attack only from the direction of the door, so the group could barely cope with the attacks.
At that moment, Aleen cut another spider with his sword. The spider screeched in pain and tried to bite his hand, but Aleen moved back and hit it in the head.
But another spider jumped from behind it and attacked his leg. Aleen tried to avoid the attack, but he had to defend against another spider attacking his chest and it slowed down his movements.
Then, the first spider tore a huge chunk of flesh from his leg.
“Argggg!!!” Aleen cried in pain and kicked the spider away, then, he swung his sword forward and cut it into two.
At the same time, he looked in Aya's direction and saw that she was having trouble facing the spiders.
In his mind, the timer was already nearing zero.
‘Ten seconds more…!’ Shouting in his mind, he jumped towards Aya and cut the spiders attacking her, then, he pushed her away and faced another two spiders coming from the tunnel by himself.
Cut, cut, cut, cut, cut… His sword continued moving frantically.
Five, four, three, two, one…
Finally, the timer reached zero.
The AI inside Aleen’s head informed him that the game was over, but he was too tired to pay attention to it.
Aleen gave a last glance to Aya and Lily and hoped that this many spiders killed would be enough to save her.
Finally, the game came to an end.
Under the spiders’ relentless attacks, Aleen, Aya, and Lily disappeared from the sewers.
