“What happened!?” Leone shouted to the people supervising the game.
She was inside a futuristic-looking hall. The place was filled with every kind of technology available through the dimensions and countless screens were being projected on a wall.
Inside, many people of different races were fighting to the death against monsters or other individuals.
Currently, Leona was looking to one screen in particular.
The screen showed one human male and one human female fighting desperately against a frightening monster made of corpses, flesh, and bones.
Around her, people of the races were analyzing the situation and searching for an answer to the unexpected change.
Finally, one of them spoke.
“I got it. Apparently, the subject Z-094563995 went through an unexpected mutation, increasing its powers and giving it the ability to absorb organic matter and use it to regenerate its wounds. Though it did not become a level-four, it could be considered as one of the strongest level-three creatures now.”
“What are the probabilities of the participants killing it?”
“… Lesser than one percent.” Replied a woman after analyzing the data inside a screen.
“What do we do, supervisor?” A man asked and looked towards Leona.
Leona fell deep in thoughts before making her decision; but before she could speak, a voice filled with authority filled the hall.
“We continue the game.”
“But gamemaster!” Leona objected. “That monster is way above their level!”
“It doesn’t matter.” The pink and chubby gamemaster replied coldly. “Dimensional Paradise has never stopped a game, no matter what happens inside; and we are not going to break that rule just for a pair of kids.”
Leona closed her mouth with an expression of unwillingness.
Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.
The gamemaster looked towards her and shook his head in disappointment. “You are new to this, and the boy inside the game is one of your firsts clients, so I will forgive your mistake this time. But you must remember, your first priority must always be the game. As for the two kids, they simply were unlucky.”
Leona bit her lips but nodded at the end.
The gamemaster gazed to her briefly before turning around and leaving the hall. When he reached the door, he stopped and said something.
“Make your preparations, we will send you in a mission after this round finish.”
Then, he left.
Leona frowned deeply and looked towards the screen where Aleen and Aya were fighting.
In the end, she simply let out a sigh.
The abomination roared in fury and attacked the portal, but a translucid barrier-like thing appeared and blocked the attacks.
Aleen and Aya paled and attacked the abomination quickly, but it only roared in fury again and continued swinging its arms towards the barrier. Fortunately, the barrier did not break.
But when Aleen and Aya were about to sigh in relief, the abomination changed its target.
This time, it did not attack the barrier.
Instead, it began to destroy everything around the portal.
The abomination used its huge arms to hit the floor, the roof and the walls around the portal.
‘It’s bad!’ Aleen shouted in his mind and attacked the abomination to attract its attention, but it continued destroying the room regardless of Aleen and Aya’s attacks.
Moreover, even when the abomination did not defend against their attacks, Aleen and Aya were unable to kill it; and the abomination would regenerate its injuries an instant after they were made.
Aleen quickly came to the conclusion that their attacks were completely useless.
At that moment, the abomination roared and punched the roof.
“ROAAAAAARRRRR!!!”
Immediately after it, the roof above the portal collapsed.
Then, the abomination swung its fist downwards and destroyed the floor.
*Rumble!!!* A thunderous sound resounded.
Aleen and Aya paled and ran away frantically to escape from the destruction that ensued on their surroundings.
The walls around the portal began to collapse, and the destruction spread until the walls on the floor above.
Everything in a radius of ten meters crashed down.
Aleen and Aya opened their eyes wide seeing the destruction caused by the abomination.
Then, their faces paled.
The portal… had disappeared.
It had been buried and destroyed by the walls and the roof.
In its place, they could see only debris.
“Aleen, what are we going to do now?” Aya asked with an expression of urgency.
Aleen held his head with a hand and went through his thoughts quickly. In a few seconds, he came to a decision.
“First, we must get out of here!”
Aya nodded without hesitation.
But then, a roar sounded from below the debris.
“ROAAAAARRRRRRR!!!”
And Aleen and Aya heard an explosion-like sound.
The abomination used its body to sent the debris that buried it flying, and jumped out.
It then looked towards Aleen and Aya with a furious expression.
