In the minds of everyone in the arena, it was clear that this was the end of the fight. The ending everyone saw was the deer monster sacrificing its left arm and piercing Ky's heart.
However, instead of trying to sacrifice its left arm, the deer monster thrust its spear toward Ky's heart.
At that moment, Ky, who saw the same ending everyone has, won't be able to react to the thrust from the boss coming toward him, who is still airborne.
So, Ky was taken off-guard, and his mind went blank for a moment and it would be a particular death sentence for the man named Ky Kurenai.
However!!
With his unrivalled talent and extraordinary instinct, the man named Ky Kurenai…
He grasped the killing intent coming from the boss! Therefore, with a single swing of his sword, Ky swings his sword toward the oncoming spear and cuts right through the blade of the spear by using Enforcar on the sword and his right arm and hand that hold the sword.
However, that would not be enough to cut through the blade of the spear, so by using his left hand and Enforcar at the same time, Ky pushed his sword through the edge of the spear, cutting the blade of the spear!!
'I can't believe it….' Salena thought, 'He applied Enforcar on three different spots all equally and caught the spear with his sword and smashed the spearhead to bits….'
With one push forward, the deer monster roars and tries to stab Ky with its antlers, but Ky swings his sword back toward the antlers cutting it.
Using that momentum, Ky spins his body to dodge the upcoming left palm from the boss, avoiding it, and with a shout, he swings his sword toward the deer's body, cutting through the deer's body before landing behind the deer while sliding along the ground.
"Gah!" With a painful gasp, Ky ignored the pain from his exposed ribs and looked toward the dying deer monster while standing back up.
"In the blink of an eye, what an impressive feat," Salena says with a smile
However, instead of feeling happy or joyful, Ky looks disappointed and angry, as if this is not what he wants.
"You serious?" Ky says, "If you had given up your left arm, you would've won. No, even without giving up your arm, you can duck, dodge my sword and pierce me from there."
"Are you still looking down on me until the end?" Ky says, his hand tightening on the sword that he is holding.
As the deer monster spits out blood from its mouth, the deer monster gives Ky no answer before its body starts slowly sliding from its own body before falling toward the ground, with its body getting cut in half diagonally.
"You don't get it, don't you?" Salena says, causing Ky to turn his head toward her, "Despite what you said, the boss didn't see an alternate route. It doesn't look down on you. You were strong. That's all."
And so, as the boss's body starts to disappear into particles of light, leaving its monster stone behind, the battle between it and Ky comes to its conclusion.
The winner is Ky Kurenai.
Thus, Ky's first Dungeon experience ends with Ky's victory.
"I am strong?" Ky says, sarcasm filling his voice before approaching the monster stone, picking it up and tossing the sword back to Goro, who catches it, "Ridiculous."
"Simply ridiculous," Ky says while slowly walking toward the arena exit, passing Goro and Salena.
"Oi, where do you think you are going?" Goro says, "Come with us to treat your wounds."
"No need," Ky answers, "That fight with the boss ended a life that I'd thought was anything but fun. Each of these cuts and injuries helped awaken me, and thanks to them, I beat the boss."
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Are you an idiot!?" Goro yells, "If you leave them untreated, you will die a horri-!"
"But…" Ky suddenly cuts Goro's sentences, not even looking back toward Goro and Salena, Ky continues to walk away, "It's still not enough. Other Dungeons out there are stronger than this…."
Unconsciously, Ky starts to release his mana around the area, combining it with his current emotion; he accidentally uses Buscar and releases his killing intent so that Salena and Goro can feel as clear as day.
"I'll…" Ky says as a smile starts to creep up on his face, a smile that looks more wicked than cheerful "I will keep feasting on these monsters, no… On this world and become the strongest Sorcerer!"
Salena smiles while taking notice of the change in Ky Kurenai, 'His presence, it's as if he is a completely different person from before.'
As Ky look up, he cannot help but thinks, 'This world is the best; whoever sent me here, I owe them a thank you.'
Without mistaking it, through his death match with the boss, Ky's tendonous talent, which had stagnated for the longest time, is about to awaken and grow into a massive tree that would reach past the very heaven itself.
"How about I make you an offer?" Salena says this while turning to face Ky, "You want to get stronger, and I know without a doubt you would go and find more Dungeon, so I will give you an offer that will make you much stronger; what do you say?"
Ky's steps immediately halt before slowly turning toward Salena with a critical look. Salena meant while having this smug smile on her face as if she knew that Ky would never refuse such an offer.
"Explains," Ky says, looking straight into Salena's eyes.
"Simple," Salena answers, "You want to get stronger by going into Dungeons; however, you probably noticed that finding a Dungeon on your own is not easy. But if you decide to come with us, we will help you not only find Dungeons but also help you earn money and equipment. All you have to do is return with us, and we will discuss our deal from there.
So, as Ky listened to Salena's explanation, Ky quickly started to think about the positives and negatives of joining them.
'It's clear that both of them belong to a Guild, and it's even more clear that they want me to join their Guild after witnessing what I have accomplished. Joining them would certainly help me get what I want and more, but the problem is, I don't honestly know the real drawbacks of this offer other than I will be in this Guild…
Well, there is no massive con of joining them….'
"Fine," Ky says, "Lead the way; the faster we get this done, the better."
"I'm glad you accept," Salena says, "My name is Salena, Salena Galatea, and this man next to me is Goro Haviel."
"Ky Kurenai," Ky answers back, "But you probably already know that"
Thus Salena starts walking, followed by Goro, who looks at Ky with narrow eyes. Ky doesn't seem to care about the stares he is getting from Goro and follows behind the two Sorcerers.
It doesn't take long for all three Sorceres to leave the Dungeons before Salena continues their walk, with Ky without complaining. And while on their walk, people keep looking at Ky while whispering to themself.
The reason for this is simple: Ky's injuries are still as visible as day, allowing everyone to see Ky's injuries and his exposed ribs that still bleed slowly, but Ky himself doesn't seem to care or notice.
"Are you sure you don't want to cover that up?" Salena suddenly says, breaking the silence between them, "Don't you worry about the wound getting infected?"
"My wounds?" Ky mutters as if he remembers something; he looks down toward the side of his body to see his exposed ribs, "Oh yeah, I forgot about that."
Ky shakes his head before answering, "It's fine, just a fresh wound."
"Just a fresh wound, he said." Goro mutters, "You gonna die before we arrive at the Guild."
Goro then proceeds to pull something out of his pocket, and with speed too fast for normal eyes to notice, he throws that object toward Ky, who quickly catches the thing before looking at what it is.
"A health potion," Goro says, "Drink it, it won't fully heal your wound, but it will slow down the bleeding and ease the pain."
Ky says nothing while looking at the glass bottle containing blue liquid inside with critical eyes before opening the lid and drinking it in one go.
"Bitter," Ky says before tossing the vial back at Goro, who quickly catches it and puts it back inside his pocket.
"Are you expecting it to taste good?" Goro sarcastically asks, "It's a medicine and not all medicine gonna taste like a five-star restaurant food."
Ky immediately notices that the annoying feeling on his side starts to fade away, not entirely, but it's not as irritating as before. And so, with another five minutes of walking, the three sorcerers were finally at their destined location: a tall glass building standing tall and making the surrounding building small.
'It looks similar to the Sorcerer Association building.' Ky cannot help but think
"Welcome to our Guild building; let's hope you will enjoy this stay," Salena says while glancing toward Ky, looking at the body up and down before walking inside the building alongside Goro, followed behind by Ky, who quickly enters the building.
And now, begin a new arc in Ky's life, an arc that will lead Ky to become the greatest Sorcerer there is, but what will the future hold for Ky? No one truly knows except for destiny itself.
