Going outside the room, Ky is greeted with the sight of Colt turning toward him in shock before regaining his natural expression and approaching Ky.
"You already done?" Colt says in disbelief before his expression turns more serious, "I hope you didn't rush answering those questions. I advise you to go back and check your answer if I were you."
Ky can only scoff in amusement at the man's statement, causing Colt's expression to harden even further, "If you want me to spend more time on those questions, then don't design those questions for middle schoolers. Those questions are so damn easy that everyone can answer them."
"Being arrogance is not a good trait to have as a Sorcerer, you know?" Colt answer back at Ky's response, in which Ky only roll his eyes at the statement before answering.
"It's not arrogance if I can back it up. Stop with all these warnings; let's get this done and over it." Ky states, "I hope your practical exam will not be as easy as your written exam."
Colt shakes his head after hearing Ky's statement before deep breathing while pinching his nose, "Fine, let go to your next test."
Moving his hand toward his pants pocket, Colt pulls out what seems remote with two buttons. Colt then proceeds to press one of the buttons on the remote, and from the centre of the room, coming out from the floor, an ordinary crystal ball appears, standing on top of some altar.
"That is a mana crystal. It will determine and calculate how much mana you currently have." Colt quickly explains while he and Ky are making their way toward the crystal ball, "All you have to do is press your hand on the crystal, and it will calculate automatically."
As Colt finishes his explanation, Ky puts his hand on the crystal before it starts to glow with bright blue light, but it is not too bright to the point of blinding. When the light stop, above the crystal ball, is a number made out of pure light floating on top of it, quickly getting Ky and Colt's attention.
"300, huh?" While looking at the number, Colt says, "I guess your mana in the pool is above average. Meaning you are at least qualified to be mid-Rank D."
'Mid-Rank D, huh? I guess that is not bad for a start.' Ky thought, 'Above average mana pool is mid-Rank D. I wonder how much mana you need to have to be Rank Ex.'
As Ky continue his thought, Colt presses the button on the remote again, and the crystal ball in the room swiftly returns toward the floor, disappearing entirely.
"Now, we will be doing your last practical test." Colt says, gaining the attention of Ky, "Your last test will be a fight against one of our training bots. You will be evaluated on your fighting skill; however, if that is not what you want to specialise in, tell me now so I can give you a new test that would fit you."
"No, the combat test is fine," Ky answers back.
As Colt hears his response only nods his head before pressing the remote button again; the floor at the centre of the room starts to open again. Slowly rising out from the hole that was opened up, a single solid platform slowly rises, and on that platform is something that both Ky and Colt didn't expect to see.
On the platform is what seems to be a destroyed-looking humanoid robot sparking the platform, clearly broken and standing next to the destroyed robot is a man wearing regular casual clothes underneath what appears to be light metal armour. With a simple smile, he turns toward where Ky and Colt are standing.
"Why, hello there. I hope I'm not interrupting anything." The man says while casually waving his hand toward Colt and Ky's direction.
"Verus, what are you doing here?" Colt asks the man, whose name is Verus.

"Well, I heard from our dear receptionist that someone is trying to register as a Sorcerer today, so I want to come here and see who is stupid enough to register as Sorcerer, and let me tell you, I am not disappointed," Verus explain his intention while slowly walking toward both of them.
"So you see him, now what?" With disdain, Colt asks, "You decide to destroy the training bot for what? To interrupt his test and stop him from becoming a Sorcerer?"
"What? No, I would never want to do something like that; I will always accept a new Sorcerer with an open arm." Verus dramatically says, "I want to test him myself."
"Test him yourself?" Colt asks while turning toward Ky before turning back toward Verus.
"Correct, after all, I think it is quite boring to have him fight against a boring and useless training bot, so I decide to test him myself to see whether or not he qualified to be a Sorcerer." Verus answer, "So what do you, pal?"
"There is no way-."
"I accept."
Ky immediately answered, interrupting whatever Colt was going to say. Causing Colt to turn toward Ky, eyes widen in shock while Verus himself has what seems to be the happiest smile on his face.
"What are you think you are doing!?" Colt exclaims, "You are not even properly trained as Sorcerer yet; there is no way you can defeat someone like Verus, who is an experienced Sorcerer!"
"Ah, you care about me?" Ky asks with a smile, "Don't it going to be fine."
"No, you don't understand-!" However, before Colt can finish his sentence, Ky interrupts him again.
"Listen here," Ky says, his tone different from before, it was more serious, and his expression looked cold. The way he looks at Colt is similar to how a person looks at a disgusting insect, "I can do anything I put my mind to because my mind wouldn't put me to do things I can't. You have no idea who I am, and you know nothing about me; to underestimate me is something you never wanted to do."
The moment Ky finishes his explanation, the whole fall into absolute silence before it is broken by the laughter of Verus, who is laughing hard right now.
"HAHAHAHA, you hear what the man said, Colt! He will be fighting me, so you better move your ass away from here and don't interrupt us." Verus says after stopping laughing.
Colt said nothing while glaring at Verus before turning back toward Ky, who looked back at him with a smile. Clicking his tongue, Colt moved away from where they were standing and toward the room wall before turning back toward Ky and Colt, who were staring each other down right now, with both of them having what seemed to be an amused smile on their face.
With a sigh, Colt says, "Don't kill him, Verus."
"Haha, no promises~."
Both Ky and Verus stared each other down, both of them not moving at all.
"Be glad I'm your first opponent. I'm not much. Hardly a real danger." Verus said before seemingly, pulling out from his numerous objects that Ky quickly identified as Spinning Tops.
'Spinning tops?' Ky thought while looking at the spinning tops Verus pulled out, 10 in total, 'Are those his weapons?'
Suddenly, Verus throws all those spinning tops toward the ground, and instead of them hitting the ground as Ky expects, those spinning tops start to do something Ky didn't expect; it's beginning to spin on their own, all ten of them. All ten spinning tops are turning on the ground, surrounding Verus as if it was guarding him.
'It's spinning on their own? Is it one of the ways to use mana, or is it some specialising skill that he has?' Ky thought while looking at all of the spinning tops on the ground.
As Ky has his guard up, one of the spinning tops suddenly launches itself forward like a bullet heading toward Ky's face, his eyes widen at the sudden attack, but he is still fast enough to duck down and dodge the attack. However, it didn't stop there, and more spinning tops launched themselves toward Ky's direction, who saw them all coming and jumped away, dodging all of the attacks.
Despite that, all of those spinning tops seem to move on their own, like they have a mind of their own they keep launching themself toward Ky; the latter is moving around the room, barely dodging the oncoming attacks.
'Waltzing Roulette, that is Verus Augurium. With his affinity being Controller, he would have an easier time controlling his spinning tops. With Controller being near Amplifier affinity, the speed and strength of those spinning tops are nearly equal to that of a bullet.' Colt thought while looking at the fight in front of him while looking at Ky, 'I'm surprised that he can keep dodging these attacks, even though he doesn't even know how to perform the four major techniques yet. It seems his base physical strength is excellent without mana enhancement. However, if this keeps going, he would, without a doubt, lose this fight.'
While Colt has his thought, Ky is still dodging around, trying his best to keep the spinning tops from hitting him, and at the same time, Verus doesn't move at all and keep looking at Ky, struggling to dodge all of the attacks.
Yet, despite the situation that he is in, Ky has a thought that both Colt and Verus would never expect.
'This is. . .' As Ky continues to weave and dodge, he starts to feel a sensation that he has felt in a while, '. . . Kinda fun!'
After a long time, a challenge has finally presented itself for Ky, and Ky takes joy in every second of it to overcome it.
