At age 20, Ky Kurenai is to defeat a monster he has just faced for the first time. The speed of his growth has already surpassed the speed of light itself.
"Your evolution?" Goro says, "What the hell do you mean by that?"
"I'm not sure." Ky replies, "But right now, I'm feeling great!"
'A bluff? No…' Salena thought, 'This is no bluff; my instinct tells me this guy is getting serious. But even so, those are mere words; can you truly keep those words?'
The deer monster takes the battle stance, holding his staff above his head while another extends forward. As the beast takes a combat stance, Ky immediately notices something off with this stance. Ky doesn't let his guard down and is ready for whatever comes next.
The next moment, with a sudden movement, the deer monster throws the staff forward, and the speed of the throws is enough to create quite a loud sound. However, Ky tilts his head sideways to dodge the upcoming attack aimed at his head. The staff continued flying until it hit the wall, creating a small explosion, and when Ky glanced back, he noticed how the staff was stuck on the wall while also leaving cracks on it.
‘It’s like a canon!?’ Ky thought before turning his glance back toward the monster, seeing that the deer had already run forward while also grabbing the other half of the spear that stuck on the ground into his hand before jumping toward Ky, ‘Because of its spear become shorter and lighter, this guy thrusts…!’
The monster thrust will be faster!
With a thrust downward, the deer monster delivers a mighty blow toward Ky. At the moment of impact, it creates an explosion of smoke while also destroying parts of the ground with dust covering the result of the deer monster thrust; no one can see what happened to Ky.
However, when the dust clears out, Goro and Salena's eyes widen, seeing what has happened. With one foot down on the ground, Ky's other foot is on top of the spear while using Enforcar, making it impossible for the monster to pull it back.
‘He dodged that!?’ Goro thought, ‘The speed of that monster was insane, and he was able to dodge it!’
“Haha, your thrusts continue to get crazier!” Ky says, “I might have died there!”
As the mana inside his body starts to move wildly, Ky gives the monster the crazed grin, “Now bastard, you better pay attention; after all, I am not weaponless anymore, right?”
So following his speech, Ky swung his sword upward alongside the monster's torso, leaving a slash mark alongside the monster's chest while blood also burst out from that wound.
‘I could only slice his flesh! It's leaned back at the last second!’ Ky thought, ‘But, now that he’s stopped moving, I must….’
However, contradicting Ky's thought, instead of retreating, the monster pulls it back and interlock the weapon with Ky, making their weapon lock with each other.
‘It’s not backing down!?’ Ky grit his teeth in annoyance seeing how the monster is not backing down at all, ‘I slashed its chest and yet…!’
‘That guy…’ Salena looks at the scene in front of her with a clear shocked expression, ‘My instinct was right!’
“It seems that the boss is stalemating with the guy.” Goro says while observing the fight, “And that guy, Ky Kurenai, is getting stronger with every blow. He’s got quite potential. If he wins this, we must invite him to our guild.”
“You’re right.” Salena agrees with Goro, “However, I think it’s about time for that boss to get serious. It’s about to give its all.”
‘That right…’ Goro thought, ‘With the boss not seeing a clear way to win, it’s about to enter its enraged state!’
“!?” Ky's eyes widen, seeing how the boss's muscles grow, and steam starts to come out from the boss's body as if it is getting hotter.
With a push, the boss pushes Ky away, creating a distance between them, but it’s also giving Ky a clear view of the boss's body that has, without a doubt, gotten bigger.
“The hell…?” Ky mutters, “You got more power….”
That was, without a doubt. With a truly worthy opponent, Ky Kurenai, the boss's body made out of mana right now has achieved its greatest potential output, entering its enrage state. The boss's body is getting bigger, and steam is coming out of the boss's body, making the deer's body look heavenly, like a divine deer has descended from heaven.
Thus, signalling to Salena and Goro that the battle between these two it’s conclusions drawing near!
“What’s this? Did your body just get bigger?” Ky asks
“Be careful! The boss has entered its enrage state!” Goro shouts a warning toward Ky.
“Enrage state, huh?” Ky mutters, “Just like videogame….”
At that moment, the energy between the two combatants reached its peak. Everyone in the arena could sense it.

That the final blow is near.
So, with no warning, the deer boss rushes forward, surprising Ky.
‘He’s got even faster!!?’ Ky thought
And so, the boss starts delivering rapid spear thrusts toward Ky, the latter of who keeps dodging and blocking any attack that comes near his body while also keeping changing between Enforcar and Difundir to minimise damage as much as possible.
Despite that, the spear thrusts leave slight injury all over Ky's body.
‘Shit! How much faster can you go!?’ Ky thought before one of its thrusts sent him sliding backwards on his feet, causing him to look down at the ground, ‘I can’t handle all this…! Just when I thought I’d caught up, the boss pushed me back. He’s too strong!!
“Idiot!” Goro shouts, “Don’t hang your head on the battlefield; you’re just asking for it!!”
Ky's attention snaps, and he looks up to see the boss has already leapt in the air toward him with its spear high up on its head, readying to swing it down toward Ky.
‘From this angle, I can’t dodge or guard!’ Ky thought; however, despite his thought, he still brought the sword up above his head and took the attack head-on while using Enforcar, but despite that, Ky still lost his balance from the attack, ‘H-heavy!’
Ky can still redirect the attack and evade the boss's overhead swing!
‘And more over at the same time….’ Salena thought, ‘That massive swing has left the boss open for a moment.’
‘I see it! My chance!’ And so, Ky delivers a swing of his sword toward the deer monster, however…
‘Wha-!?’ When Ky swings his sword, the boss suddenly disappears from Ky's line of sight, ‘It’s gone!?’
Ky's eyes instinctively move down to see that the boss has bent its body backwards while standing, completely dodging Ky's attack.
‘Below me!?’
‘He made quite a big swing there; it seems that his inexperienced and eagerness to win are starting to show.’ Salena thought
The boss takes this chance to counterattack Ky with a thrust of its spear toward Ky's heart; however, Ky, out of instinct, dodges sideways while reverting his mana to the Difundir state. Still, Ky is not fast enough to entirely dodges the blow, and the side of his torso takes the attack head-on.
“Gah!?” Letting out a painful grunt, Ky jumps backwards to create a distance between himself and the boss. However, something flies toward Salena and Goro, causing the former to catch it before looking at it.
“Salena, what is that?” Goro asks
“Flesh and bone.” Salena answer while looking at the object in her hand, “It’s that guy's ribs.”
Gritting his teeth through the pain, Ky tries his best not to lose his focus here.
‘This far more than I’d imagined.’ Ky thought, ‘So this is a boss of a Dungeon! Even if I didn’t die from that, with my ribs broken, it’d be more difficult for me to move as I had before.’
“His bone is showing, and he is bleeding a ton.” Goro says while looking at Ky, “With those injuries against the boss….”
It’s a statement that doesn’t need to finish, and Salena still understands what Goro meant.
Ky Kurenai doesn’t stand a chance of winning anymore…
“Oi! Tag out, why don’t you!” Goro says to Ky, “You’re still young and got talent. If you let us help you, you will survive and have plenty of opportunities to make a name for yourself. So retreat, why don’t you?”
“You telling me to give up?” Ky says without looking toward Goro, “Survive and make a name for myself? You are fucking with me, right? Listen closely; Ky Kurenai doesn’t run away from a challenge!! I will take the challenge head-on, even if it means putting my life on the line.”
“It seems he is still motivated,” Salena says with a smile, seemingly impressed with Ky's determination.
“Tch! Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Goro says with a click of his tongue
So the boss takes his final stance while Ky does the same thing. However, there is something extraordinary about Ky's stance.
A stance that could not be found in any other martial art. It was a bizarre stance, bending forward with both hands on the ground and one of the knees touching the ground.
“Beat you…” Ky mutters, “I’m gonna beat you…!”
“That stance, so that's how it is, huh?” Salena says, realising what Ky is doing.
Using Enforcar on his legs, the first one to move is Ky. Similarly to the crouching start of a track and field, converting gravity into a propulsive force to achieve the greatest initial velocity combined with Enforcar. It is the fastest first step that Ky has ever taken.
‘He’s quick!’ Salena, surprised by Ky's sudden speed, eyes widened. ‘And what’s more, he’s made himself so damn small.’
However, despite that, the deer boss can still thrust his spear forward so accurately that it would, without a doubt, his Ky.
However…
‘There!’ The moment the spear comes close to him, Ky suddenly jumps up into the air dodging the spear thrust while flying toward the monster with his sword reeling back.
‘Now I see; he rushed toward the boss at full speed and limited where the boss could aim.’ Salena thought, ‘To lure the boss into a reflective and easy-to-read attack!’
‘Hang in there, body!’ Ky thought, ‘This will be the final blow! I’m gonna win this!’
But at that moment, when it looked like victory was in Ky's hand, the boss suddenly did something Ky didn’t expect. The boss let out a breath before flicking the wrist of his hand and holding the spear back; he is now holding the spear in his other hand.
‘He drew back his spear with the flick of his wrist!!?’ Ky's eyes widen seeing this, but he can no longer dodge the attack considering he is in the air.
At that moment, in the minds of both combatants, it was clear this was the end of the fight, and only one would be standing at the end.
