Ky Kurenai is a genius in every definition of the word. He has everything going for him: his look, intelligence, and physique. He is an orphan with no family or close friends, and he never has the wish to make one.
He is someone who learns everything so fast that it becomes nothing more than child's play for him. He is like a sponge, absorbing everything and anything that he can learn to the point that it becomes hard for Ky to find and learn about something he has never heard of.
Ky learned and mastered all of the educational subjects and all sorts of sports in such a short time that it becomes insulting toward those who spend their entire life mastering these things, something Ky didn't care about.
It didn't take long for people to notice Ky's genius, and he became famous. With more people paying attention to him, Ky learns to learn more things the world offers. It didn't take long for Ky to learn what most of the world has to offer.
Thus, after learning all he could learn, his focus turned toward something else that caught his attention, entertainment.
Movies, series, videogames, books etc
He spends his time learning, watching, reading and playing them, but just like all previous subjects, it turns from a source of entertainment to something else entirely.
With Ky's over-analytic mind, he over-analyses everything that he watches and plays, and it becomes hard for him to be entertained by it, and it becomes hard for other people to keep up with him. Not that he never feels fun from doing it, but it becomes harder and harder to enjoy when all the new stuff being created is not as good as the old one.
What is the point of watching these movies and series when the new ones are not as good as the old ones? What is the point of playing with other people when there is no competition behind them?
From an eager and curious child, he turns into a dull man. Ky is nothing more than a shadow of himself. No longer excited by anything, wanting to do anything, only living for the sake of living, Ky's life is as dull as ever.
Vanishing from the face of the earth, nobody knows where Ky has to disappear; some say he is dead, and some say he is doing some top-secret project. No one would ever learn what happened to Ky.

When a man can do everything, he decides not to do anything. Ky can do anything he tries, so he tries not to get too involved with anything.
A worthless, useless life and Ky know it, and he will do nothing to change it.
As Ky best describes it, "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime. But if you teach me how to fish? There will be no fish left to feed others."
Ky's way of living is no different than being dead. Some call it a blessing, but for Ky, being an unparalleled genius in anything is a curse that no man should bear.
So Ky lives with no goal in life, no ambition in the heart.
But one day, everything changed, a single event that would change Ky's life figuratively and very literally.
At the age of 19, while walking back to his home while crossing the road, Ky gets hit by a car driven by a drunk driver. To his deep disappointment, it was not a truck that hit him.
It was not over the top; he died by chance and bad luck. He didn't try to save someone and get killed by it; he just had bad luck that day.
Laying down on the ground, blood dripping out of his mouth and head, Ky's hand move toward his chest; he can feel that most of his ribs are broken and possibly stabbed into his lung, not to mention most of the broken bones all over his body, Ky is feeling so much pain right now.
Yet despite all of the pain, he feels his expression doesn't change that much.
The sound of people screaming and panicking becomes nothing more than white noise in Ky's ears; his vision starts to blur, and he can see someone lying next to him, talking to him, saying something that he cannot understand or trying to.
His eyes lid starts to feel heavy, and Ky knows what is waiting for him when his eyes close.
'So… This is what dying feels like…' Ky thought to himself, 'Kinda suck. I wish it's not something this painful….'
Despite his thought, Ky has a slight smile, accepting his fate. For him dying is no different than living, so his dying now is not something that he is sad about. He seems relieved at the fact that he has finally met his end.
Some people fear death and those who accept it, and Ky is the latter of the people. Those who welcome death with open arms with no fear in their mind.
"Excessive sorrow laughs. excessive joy weeps." Ky mutter to himself as his last word before his eyes close entirely, accepting the eternal peace and darkness that is death.
But unbeknown to Ky, his death will not be the end, but it is simply a new beginning. As an old wizard once said, "To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure."
