"Hmm, In that case, I'll provide you some painkillers but later on get a proper check-up," the nurse gave Ashlee a tight smile, as she nodded.
"Are you not leaving?" the nurse asked Kyle and the other nerd guy, patiently standing there, listening to Ashlee and the nurse. The nurse sighed and continued, "Only one of you can stay."
"I will stay," Kyle coldly replied, his eyes glued to Ashlee. Only one thing was running over his brain. Does she know it or not? He wants to confirm and get over it.
"Actually... I would like him to stay with me," Ashlee spoke nervously, stuttering, pointing at the nerd guy in the background. He was also stunned by the sudden change of events and pointed at himself.
"I... I don't know anything," he quickly spoke in his defense when Kyle glared at him with his cold death stares.
"I...." The nerd guy awkwardly gulped, sensing the tense atmosphere. "I gotta go. I have a class, actually," he spoke, turning to Ashlee, flashing her a nervous chuckle. "I'm sorry," he whispered loudly and rushed out of the room.
"Guess we have no option." The nurse raised her brows and gave Ashlee a painkiller. "I would leave you two to it. I have to run some errands." She smiled and exited the room, leaving dead silence in the air.
Ashlee gulped down the painkiller and slowly kept drinking her water, as Kyle wasn't anywhere near taking his eyes off of her. "You think like that you can avoid me?" Kyle huffed, folding his arms across his chest.
Ashlee didn't reply; instead, she turned her head in the other direction and kept drinking her water. She knew she would have to answer his every curiosity if she held the glass down from her mouth.
"Stop being childish, Ash," Kyle sighed, sitting beside her on her bed. An easy and quick remedy to get her talking.
She instantly put her glass down and started pushing Kyle away from her bed. The more she pushed him, the more she lost. He was strong enough, and it was weird that she couldn't move him at all. She knew she was strong—then what happened suddenly?
Where is her strength?
"Did you see it?" Kyle muttered, without getting bothered. He rested his head on the wall behind him and laid his legs straight on her bed. She was about to jump out of the bed without answering him, but he grabbed her wrist and pulled her in, making her bump into his chest.
"Stop avoiding me!" He possessively muttered in a low, deep grunt. Their faces were only a few inches away from being held close. "I'll ask once again, did you know it or not?"
Ashlee perfectly knew what he was talking about, but she was scared to tell him the truth. If she did, she would have to live in constant fear of him. And who knows, maybe he could kill her.
"I.... I don't know what you're talking about," she stuttered, blinking rapidly, biting her lips and not looking into his eyes. He knew she was lying. Anyone could guess she was lying.
"Stop lying to me," he straightened up, almost touching her face with his. His other hand went down her waist and pulled her straight, surprising her. She looked at him wide-eyed.
"Now you know who I am," he whispered, his warm breath hitting her lips, making her shiver down the spine. Goosebumps rose on her skin as his eyes kept tracing her face and her lips, constantly.
"Wha... What are you saying?" she stuttered, her throat going dry. Her heartbeat was so loud it could be heard by any human. Her face flushed while lying and being so damn close to him.

"You know exactly what I'm saying." He stared at her lips, begging in his heart for her to confess the truth—that she knows everything. If she does know it, then maybe it will make it easier for him to convince her.
"I...." Ashlee was speechless. She knew there was no denying it now. He already knows it.
"You?" Kyle questioned, raising his brow, glazing deep into her eyes.
"I need to go," she spoke nervously.
"You need to go where?" Kyle asked, tightening his grip on her wrist and waist. He kept pulling her closer, yet somehow still maintaining the proper distance.
"The... umm... The restroom," Ashlee's voice broke as she kept attempting to get out of his grasp.
His hold loosened slowly on Ashlee. He still wasn't sure if she was telling the truth or just running away from him. Maybe she hadn't seen anything or remembered it.
"Alright," he sighed and let her go. Abruptly, she stood up and rushed to the ladies' room. Kyle still kept following her behind. He couldn't stop thinking about it. Her behavior was making it more obvious that she knew.
"What are you doing?" Ashlee stopped in front of the restroom and blocked Kyle by pushing her hand into his chest.
"What did I do?" Kyle still didn't notice where they were standing and confusedly looked at her face.
"Stop showing everyone how perverted you are," Ashlee narrowed her eyes, pointing at the restroom sign for girls. He gulped down and awkwardly stood against the wall on the other side.
"Fuck! That was so close. Seriously, who is he? He was fighting with a demon? Are fantasies real? Am I even awake? God! Make this a dream. This must be a dream!" she muttered in front of the mirror as soon as she entered the restroom.
"She knows," Kyle whispered in pure shock. He was right. She knew it. She remembered him changing into a wolf that night. Ashlee wasn't aware of Kyle's hearing abilities. She was too focused on cursing herself while letting out everything she knows about him.
Ashlee came out, smoothing down her clothes. She looked at Kyle; his eyes were fixed on her. He was struggling between his own thoughts: 'Should I make her confess or should I let it go?' 'If I make her confess, would she be scared of me?' 'How should I tell her that was not a demon but an elf?'
"I have a class. I'll leave first," Ashlee nodded, uncomfortably flashing a smile at him as she left to get her bag.
Ashlee entered Mr. Harvey's class along with Kyle. Since he wasn't leaving her alone now that he knows, she knows everything, she would be forced to accept the way it is.
"Morning," Ashlee nodded and quickly rushed to her seat. The whole class started gossiping and smirking weirdly at Ashlee and the teacher.
Kyle entered, giving Mr. Harvey the coldest shoulder one could ever have. He completely ignored everyone in the room and went near Ashlee, grabbing a chair and placing it next to her.
"What are you doing?" Ashlee hissed, whispering frustratingly at Kyle.
"Taking a seat," he replied, smiling gently at her.
"Go sit somewhere else," she whispered in complete silence, where only Mr. Harvey was teaching his chapter.
"No," Kyle sternly replied and comfortably took a seat next to her. He gave everyone the deadliest look who was gossiping and teasing Ashlee about getting famous.
"Shouldn't you be explaining something else right now, Mr. Harvey?" Crista's stupid sarcasm and annoying chuckles broke the dead silence.
"Like what, Miss Daniel?" Mr. Harvey asked, swirling his tongue inside his mouth.
"Like this?" Crista smirked, showing him the picture that went viral of him and Ashlee.
Kyle's jaw clenched and he flinched, stopping himself from ripping the human trash chick off. His patience was being tested at that very moment.
"That's enough for today. We will continue from here tomorrow," Mr. Harvey ordered, finishing his lecture and moving forward on his way out. How easy was it for him to just ignore and keep on with his life?
The one having a hard time and getting criticized was only Ashlee. Since she knew how strong she was, she was determined to endure everything coming her way.
"Let's go," Kyle held Ashlee's hand, watching Crista and her minions coming toward her, just to ridicule her in front of the whole class.
"Go where?" Ashlee spoke, but before she could expect an answer, Kyle dragged her and stood before everyone. All the pupils were shocked to see them holding hands, but curiosity filled the atmosphere more.
"Everyone, listen carefully. I'm not going to repeat myself, ever again," Kyle growled, and silence overwhelmed the room.
He looked at Ashlee blankly and continued, "Ashlee is my girlfriend." His words left everyone dumbstruck.
"What?" Ashlee muttered, trying to jerk his hand off of her.
"And from now on, I would appreciate it if some arrogant humans would stop having problems with my girl," his other hand rested on the teacher's table, as his eyes gave the deadliest shiver to all. He continued, "If not, I'll personally show you how not to have problems with her."
