Hissssssssssssssssssssssss!
A very loud hiss came from the snake. Anyone who had heard this noise could tell that it was in pain and very angry.
Alexander just glared at it and it returned the glare right back with equal intensity sparks seemed to pass between their eyes. It then coiled itself then launched at a very fast speed. Alexander quickly flapped his wings but he put too much energy and flew high into a tree branch.
Bang! A loud sound surrounded the area.
His head struck the bottom of a thick tree branch Alexander could swear he heard a gong like a bell being struck. Tears started to form in his eyes but he endured the pain and kept his eyes on the bastard who tried to kill him and eat his unhatched siblings. Blood started to pour from the wound on the top of his head.
Alexander used his Thunder Crows lightning flame and shot out tiny ember-like pellets trying to hit it while trying to avoid as much damage to the tree as he could. The last thing he wanted to do was to lose my home because of carelessness.
It serpentined across the branch avoiding most of my ember shots while shooting green spit at him. One of the embers hit it in the back while Alexander received a shot of venom on the tip of his wing.
It hissed deeply as if trying to endure the pain but he knew better. He didn't think it was hurt much his fire barely burned its scales and maybe the slight electric shock did something but nowhere near enough to elicit that response. Snakes were truly duplicitous bastards in any world.
Alexander was very lucky that the venom mostly missed and hit the tip of his feathers. He continued to fly around waiting for an opportunity.
He flew towards it in a dive bombing maneuver but it quickly coiled itself again and just as quickly uncoiled using the momentum to whip me on my body with its tail. It was obvious to anyone at this point this was a very skilled snake.
Alexander crashed into the trunk of the tree and in between him and the snake was the nest where his sibling's eggs were. He didn't want his unborn hatchling siblings to be caught in the crossfire so he quickly flew straight at it in a reckless maneuver. He tried to shoot at it with his Thunder Crow lightning flame as if he were a fighter jet. It coiled itself and jumped towards him and Alexander turned his body so that It was parallel to its body and used my talons to rip at its underbelly. It was a very dangerous move but it paid off. Alexander saw blood and guts on the branch while he crashed onto the branch exhausted.

While he started to get up I saw the snake's maw on him as if it was trying to kill him in a last-ditch effort knowing it was going to die.
Alexander heard a loud Caw and the tension in his heart was released. The snake is lifted in the air before Alexander and Mother Bird peck at it till it's cut in half. Blood and guts rain all over Alexander. Suddenly the relief he felt is quickly converted into irritation. Alexander gives his mother a side glance. She didn't notice his irritation and was peacocking around happily having killed the snake.
“You look happy mother,” Alexander said in a dry tone.
"Of course my dear we have a delicious supper to eat tonight," she replied happily. She was definitely a gluttonous bird. He noticed drool escaping his mother's beak.
To change the subject and hopefully regain his mother's sanity he had asked her about the materials for the nest. She responded to him as if he were an idiot." I had to drop them to save your life don't cha know." If you want them they're on the ground. Hurry up so we can eat.” She replied cheerfully
Alexander sighed internally.” My mother is quite the glutton” he mumbled internally. Even though he was beat up he still flew down to the ground and picked up some of the branches she had found. As he grasped the branches I noticed that they were a bit robust and had quite the heft. When he flew back to the nest he noticed Mother eating the snake as if it was a delicacy.
“Here you are, mother. I noticed that these branches are quite durable, where did you find these branches?” Alexander asked.
She quickly explained that she found them on the edge of the forest to the north where her sparrow friend was. These branches fell from a tree called the Sunset Great maple tree and its leaves look like a sunset.
"Here you go have something to eat." She said, "You can't get stronger while not eating." he sighed and thanked his mother before eating the snake.
Alexander looked at the branches in his talons and the leaves on the ground and decided to make his own nest on the branch next to Mother's.
He hoped that they could become good neighbors and look out for each other while also not ruining his sibling's chance of hatching with the cultivation technique. He took the branches and leaves and started construction of his nest.
