22. Repentance.

Frindle consciousness became clearer after some time and she then focused on turning into a dao body.

She looked around and saw that space was distorted in many places and the planet was cracked and covered in lightning sparks and many scars.

She then found the man he was missing an arm and leg from the knee down on his left leg and it looked like part of his face was melted. He was covered in scars and sometimes lightning sparked In them.

She felt tremendously guilty. She didn't deserve to be saved and Frindle even felt that it was okay to die.

The man who was meditating noticed Frindle and he stopped meditating. He smirked at her and spoke.

"You sure can sleep, Frindle." The man said in a teasing voice. The familiarity which he spoke her name unnerved her.

"Who are you? , Why did you save me?" Frindle asked cautiously.

The man in the cloak smiled and said "My my Mother sure has gotten forgetful in her old age". He then started to laugh.

He went inside his bag and pulled out a red mushroom shaped cap and placed it on his head.

"How is it? Do I look familiar enough mother?" He smiled and then broke into a fit of laughter.

Pain surged throughout his body but he continued to laugh.

"Redcap! Frindle's eyes shot wide open." "You're alive! " She shouted joyfully.

"Yup!" He smiled.

"Frindle, Tell me what happened since I left." Redcap spoke solemnly.

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

She couldn't help but frown. She talked about everything from her cultivation sessions, to the invasion and when she went hunting and her fight against the Aurumitans commander of the base.

He had listened attentively to Friendle's story but frowned towards the end.

He just sighed. "Every ones gone huh. No wonder you went berserk. I don't blame you for what you did but you were reckless. You could have ran and gotten stronger before you went on a revenge spree. "

Frindle just stood there listening to his scolding.

"You have never had any fighting experience. So how could you fight someone at your level with out any training. I think you know what you did was wrong, I won't argue with you because I took did the same reckless actions when I was younger." He just sighed. Frindle you also died. do you know what attacked you?

She obviously didn't know but she mustered her courage after being scolded. "No! I have never seen anything like that before."

That thing is the enforcer of heavenly law, when you break certain rules it comes to punish those that do. Its not easy winning against one of those because it's not a tribulation but a punishment so almost everyone who as come across one has died.

"I see." Frindle responded shocked.

"You have a bunch of negative karma. It will affect you in more ways than you can possibly imagine. I recommend that you isolate yourself for a time and use the Grand Astral technique and fix yourself up.

The contamination of Ashram blood isn't easy to get rid of but after a while it should be purified where you won't feel sick and filled with blood lust. I have things I need to do as well.

Wait! She spoke panicking. We just met and your leaving? How cruel.

"Frindle you made too many mistakes on the eyes of heaven just being around you brings me terrible luck. You need to do good deeds and focus on balancing your karma."

What's karma? Frindle asked inquisitively.

Karma is simply put a balance of good and bad decisions but it's different in a way.

Think of it like this , it's good to give a poor man some money so he can eat which is good karma but he will most likely be killed for money and that will be bad karma in total just think about more than the immediate action and think of what might happen because of your actions. It would be better to give the man food and watch him eat it so he might not get killed but jealous people might beat him up. Some people think in that way. You just need to do things and thing about the actions and if they end up majorly positive it would be good karma.

Sounds complicated. Frindle grumbled.

"It is more complicated than I have explained."

"Just remember good deeds don't always translate to good outcomes think about what you want to achieve and what the process to get there is."

Redcap winced in pain.

"I have to go Frindle these injuries are too much for me to survive I cultivated trying to slow down the process waiting for you to wake up."

Frindle was shocked to hear about his condition.

"Just like old times huh. We shall meet again Frindle, just focus on getting better. So do your best to not get angry just hide and cultivate for a while fix yourself up and after a while we should meet again."

Redcap pointed his remains hand towards Frindle's heart and sacrificed himself again leaving behind a ripped cloak some pants and a red mushroom cap.

"Redcap thank you I won't let your sacrifice be in vain." She spoke with determination. She picked up his Red cap and placed it on her head.

"Looks like I need to repent for my actions but where to start." she sighed and took off towards a barren planet. She would nurture worlds while she recovered.

Meanwhile in the present.

"Commander Frindle has gone berserk, Captain what shall we do?"A soldier asked.

Send a message to the imperial capital.

"Yes sir!" The soldiers saluted and spoke.

"The ancestor might need to make an appearance." The captain grumbled to himself.
