20. Frindle's insanity

20. Frindle's insanity

There she was alone, the war had left her scarred and broken.

Her family was gone Tepa , Redcap, Leafteay,Berbu Everyone was gone.

Her skin split, blood flowed an dripped onto the floor.

Her feet turned into tree roots and she reverted back into a giant tree.

Unlike her lush green leaves and light brown bark, black leaves with red tips looking like maple leaves sprouted her once brown bark turned as black as the night followed by red streaks. If one were to look closer they would see the faces of her tribe on her trunk.

Berbu looked especially fierce,Tepa had and in different face and Leafteay was crying.

Soon the Ashram reached her position and almost instinctual the roots came out from the ground and pierced each of their hearts and began to devour them.

The Ashram that had attacked was a Sillcastars ranked invader. He had managed to dodge the attack at the last moment.

He was much smarter than a Coprun rank so he knew he had to finish things before they got worse.

His mission was to take the tree dead or alive but now the tree looked corrupted and wondered if his mission would still be completed of he returned with such a tree.

He charged his qi ready to throw another attack when suddenly the eyes of the three faces open.

He ha to admit to himself that even he found himself freaked out by those faces. They were the ones he attacked after all.

All three spoke at the same time in a harmonious tone but it was still creepy.

"Invaders must die" they spoke with out emotion.

Frindle's eyes open and instead of hatred or anger there was indifference.

She just spoke one thing" invaders must die" and her voice and the voices of those imprinted on the tree harmonized.

As if a broken record was stuck on repeat all that they said was" invaders must die."

The roots pierced everything from the dead bodies of her tribe members to the dead and living Ashram.

The Sillcastars managed to dodge again but he noticed the bodies being sucked up by the roots and Frindle becoming stronger.

He had no choice but to attack, his qi struck her trunk and all it did was make a "thunk" sound and was absorbed.

He pulled out his sword and tried to chop Frindle in half but numerous hands came out of her trunk trying to grab him and his sword.

He quickly jumped out of the way.

He had no idea how to proceed. His qi was absorbed and his attacks were interrupted.

Frindle started to shrink and her face looked similar to an amalgam of those three and her original face.

Her black heart with red streaks and pitch black eyes looked sinister. Her skin was about 3 shades darker and looked like rotten wood.

her toes were crooked and the tips looked like root tips.

The Sillcastars ranked enemy looked at her and felt pressured. She had clearly gotten stronger from devouring the bodies both living and dead.

With no other choice he set off an emergency teleportation artifact and ran away.

Frindle stopped and looked up into the starry sky and once again repeated her self. Invaders must die! but this time it was filled with rancor.

She jumped into the sky and followed the traces of Ashram and found that they were everywhere. She smiled a very disturbingly and A shout that seemed to come from her soul filled with endless malicious. I N V A D E R S . M U S T. D I E !

For the first time since their invasion The predators became prey.

Frindle landed on the planet closest to her and dug her roots into the ground gathering information from all the plants and trees in the area that were left.

She walked towards the nearest base where the highest ranked solder was only Coprun and devoured them all.

She then used some of the energy she had absorbed and returned some of it to the land to kick start the healing process. She did this instinctively as a former World blessing tree she had the ability but she did so subconsciously as she left.

The trees and vegetation that survived the meteor bombardment seemed to bow towards Frindle as she left.

This continued planet after planet till she got closer and closer then the Ashram main forward operating base.

Then things became more hectic.

The Ashram confronted her Copruns, Sillcastars made the bulk of their forces they even mistakenly send unranked to try and slow her advance.

Frindle devoured them all in the most gruesome manner possible.

Her roots penetrated them and split them apart and she devour them flesh, blood and soul. All while saying in her trademark monotone voice "Invaders must die."

When the Coprun and Sillcastars noticed that the fodder they sent just made her stronger they went and fought as a unit. They tried to different military formations but nothing worked. Her skin had become strong.

The base commander showed up he was a Aurumitans a much higher rank than a Sillcastars.

He looked like a minotaur, mixed with a tiger face and had four arms and wings.

He shouted "Enough!" and flew towards Frindle.

He took out his axe from his storage space but this was a mistake Frindle had noticed immediately that the handle of the axe was made from a divine world tree.

Deep within her memories she had remembered what Redcap had said to her about how they were going to capture her and possibly turn her into ingredients or enslave her. It didn't sink in until this very moment.

The lucidity that had slowly regained from her onslaught snapped.

She finally went berserk.

He hand stretched out trying to pierce his heart but he quickly dodged and chopped her arm clean off. Blood spewed out and as quickly as her arm was chopped off another grew in it's place.

Frindle was seething, all she saw was red and viciously tried to kill the commander.

Frindle's chopped up hand greens body of its own but looked more like Berbu. This clone was still Frindle but was weaker than the main body it quickly ran off towards the army standing behind him and started rampaging around and devouring every Ashram it could.

"Bitch" he said out in frustration. The commander noticed too late what had happened .

Frindle just continued to attack.

She was greatly invested in killing this Aurumitans commander and nothing was going to stop her or else they would become fertilizer for her growth.
