34. Deal or no Deal?

Nimbus flew through the sky in the direction of the humans.

He flew towards a nearby tree and landed on a branch. He began watching them and studying them. He wanted to know why they had entered the sanctuary before he made any contact.

As he listened he overheard them talking and that they had come because there had been changes to the Array formation. He wanted to laugh! He puffed up his chest.

Nimbus watched the group of four and when the one called Elder Lucy Summoned a beetle from her pouch he was shocked. He had seen a beetle like that once in its life.

It was a unique species not very strong but very good at running and hiding when sensing danger. Something like that would have never been caught unless it wanted to.

He narrowed his eyes and released a tiny sliver of power for less than a second to see if it could sense it. Almost as soon as it did the Beetle went wild.

It decided to fly down towards the group but landed right across from them on the branch closest to them. The Elder looked a bit flustered and was quickly on guard.

The students looked confused but quickly gathered their wits and became on guard as well. They took out their treasures and weapons and took defensive positions.

Nimbus couldn't help but laugh. "Put away your weapons humans. It won't help you even if you have immortal treasures. I didn't come here to fight." Nimbus spoke to the group in an indifferent tone.

Elder Lucy was shocked to hear this ethereal-looking bird speak. Monsters of their level shouldn't be possible in the habitat. They would at the minimum be 10th tier which would be way above her level.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.

Lucy did as she was asked and put away her artifacts. Even the sect's greatest treasure wouldn't hold up against a tenth-level monster.

How can we help you senior? She took both her hands and clasped and bowed. The other three quickly put away their treasures and bowed as well. If their teacher bowed then they should bow as well after all being courteous never hurt.

Nimbus nodded his head. He started to speak.

My name is Nimbus you will probably never had heard of me but I am the progenitor of the Cloudy Crow Clan. I Come from the Primordial Golden Sun Domain.

During the speech Elder Lucy couldn't help but be shocked. To be considered a progenitor means that he was the first of their kind. she continued to listen.

My clan and other Crow clans received a call for help. You might be weak and ignorant of our ways but we Crows of the upper realms have one rule and that is You can't bully a crow! Nimbus specifically mentioned this with with pride.

Elder Lucy started to sweat. She tried to remember if anyone abused crows in the sec.

When roaming around the heavenly realms the Primordial Heavenly Thunder and lightning Crown clan and the Primordial Golden Sun Crow clan received a call for help and it lead to this domain in the mortal realms.

Elder Lucy started to panic.

Nimbus looked at her and noticed her dour mood.

It's not your fault or your sects fault. You might not know but we don't go around saving or avenging every crow. We mostly ignore Crows of the mortal tiers but if they somehow manage to call for help through our bloodline technique we are required to answer the call. Nimbus proudly raised his head and continued We Crows will not be bullied or you face the wrath of every crow that has received the call.

Nimbus enjoyed the attention more than he thought but he continued the story. Mother and my sibling had received the call and with great fury the started to make their way here ready for war. They were going to bring every Crow down upon the transgressor. He watched how they reacted and saw fear on their faces which made him proud to be a crow.

Unfortunately, not soon after another call was received. It was another crow! A child being played with like a toy! Nimbus couldn't help but get furious so he accidentally released a bit of qi which caused the students and Frizzle to pass out. Nimbus quickly collected himself and apologized and helped the Students and contracted beast recover themselves.

When they came to he apologized to them.

He then waited for them to collect themselves.

He watched them orient themselves and continued his story.

This time it wasn't mother and my sibling but every clan across the Primordial Golden Sun Domain. We all went into action to save our brethren. We came here to find a human Cultivator with a crow in her hand squeezing and teasing him. Naturally we were very upset and we were ready to wage war but there were unique circumstances involved and we deemed it fair and made the Cultivator leave. Unfortunately the mother and son are injured and if we tried to heal them it would possibly have after affects that we don't want so we were willing to make a trade in order for help in healing.

Elder Lucy and the three students were mind blown with such a story. Elder Lucy felt that this crow was somewhat reasonable but at the same time she felt that if she refused he would become very unreasonable.

So humans do we have a deal or not? Nimbus squinted his eyes waiting for an answer.
