21. Heavenly Karma.

The Ashram commander was getting frustrated with Frindle.

She was prey and she should act like prey.

Frindle continued to swipe at him wildly.

Every Slash she gave him with her branches which twisted into claw drew blood which she absorbed giving her more stamina to continue fighting.

Frindle continued to fight recklessly trading blow for blow using her devouring ability to heal and absorb from her wounds.

The Ashram commander was furious.

He kicked Frindle as hard as he could causing her to fly into the base.

He was shamed that prey continued to fight for as long as she did.

He took out his battle armor made from multiple divine trees and wore it.

When Frindle managed to get out from the rubble she had seen him wear the armor.

Frindle being a divine tree noticed that his armor was not just made up of the same tree that his axe handle was but an entirely different group of trees .

Frindle didn't think she couldn't possibly hate them any more but the armor really set her off.

The bark like skin became darker, her hair became more blood like, her eyes had started to exude hatred transcendent. Her finger tips twisted tighter and became sharper.

The commander frowned he had felt her immense animosity.

Frindle aimed for the openings on his armor.

First the eyes then the arm pits followed by the throat anything that was exposed she went after.

The commander moved and dodged taking light damage to his arm pits area and in the throat.

He kicked Frindle hard and she flew into a planet occupied by the Ashram. Frindle furious that she couldn't kill the commander as fast as she could so she started to transform back into a tree.

Her new form made the people on the planet frown. She was hideous. A black like bark with cracks shone like steel in th sun, The three faces of Tepa, Berbu and Leafteay were on her trunk and had red blood like sap flowing from their eyes. Crimson maple like leaves formed on her canopy. She forced her roots into the planet and started to absorb everything that she could.

The Ashram on the planet were the first victims of Frindle's aggressive absorption. Her roots penetrated the bases foundation and located and pierced the unranked and Copruns soldiers.

Since she couldn't absorb quality she would do it with quantity.

The unranked and Copruns fell quickly. They didn't even leave a body behind everything was absorbed.

The Sillcastars that once gave Frindle major trouble fell not as quickly but still fast.

She was growing in power at a rapid place she was intoxicated by her rapid growth.

She started devouring the planet and the people on it nothing was safe from her roots.

The Aurumitans looked shocked at Frindle. She was supposed to be a divine tree how could she possibly fall so far that she would devour an entire world.

Frindle felt euphoria, her strength was rising all the screams didn't stop her. She just wanted vengeance.

Every Ashram had to pay for what they did.

The Aurumitans watched as Frindle drained life from not only from every living being but the planet itself.

Little by little the planet became smaller and smaller until it was half the size. Storm clouds formed in the space above the planet.

Giant red clouds formed, thunder rumbled and flashes of light blinded anyone who stared at it.

The Ashram commander was startled but soon became entrenched in fear. He gathered what little courage he had and ran as fast as he could.

The clouds became humanoid and an echo of a voice spoke.

"Violator of the heavenly laws, you shall be punished."

The cloud pointed at Frindle and shot out a rainbow colored lightning bolt.

It was quiet but Frindle heard the voice in her mind, she snapped out of her jubilation and focused her mental energy above her.

She had seen a cloud shaped humanoid pointing at her and saw a rainbow colored lightning bolt heading towards her.

She moved her branches to block the incoming lightning attack but it ripped through them as if it wasn't even there.

The rainbow lightning bolt struck Frindle and caused all sorts of damage from the splintering of her branches , charring her trunk and causing damage to her core.

Frindle screamed out in pain. She shouted "Why! They killed my children they should all be devoured! The invaders must die !" She put all her emotions into her voice. Anger , frustration, sadnesses, hatred it was all there but the cloudy humanoid didn't care.

"You a divine tree has been corrupted and you destroyed a world and all life both those who have deserved it and those that were innocent. You have failed as a divine tree, you must be punished, this is the heavenly law." it spoke in an indifferent voice.

The cloudy being pointed his finger towards Frindle and shot more lightning towards her.

She tried using the Grand Astral technique to absorb the lightning and the energy of the heavens and astral energy.

She tried her best to recover but it was useless. She had been tainted by Ashram blood and tainted karma and the Grand Astral technique caused her as much pain as the lightning.

She cursed the heavens and the cloudy being continued to torment Frindle.

She was on the verge of losing consciousness but the pain kept her awake she was in agony from the pain and the memories of losing her tribe.

The cloudy humanoid opened his palm ready to finish off Frindle. Multiple lightning beams twisted and merged together causing the rainbow lightning to spark out of control.

He launched the attack and Frindle stood there waiting for death when space started to distort and a man wearing a beat down cloak filled with holes stood between Frindle and the cloudy humanoid and grabbed the lightning with his hand.

She was confused and didn't know what happened but she was alive and she was relieved.

The voice spoke it was calm and deep. "Frindle, sorry I'm late, I'll take care of this."

She didn't recognize the voice but she trusted it then her consciousness faded into darkness.

On the battlefield stood the cloudy humanoid and the cloaked man and behind him a charred broken tree.
