Day 8
Ranger was sure he could win Fiona over. Knowing how she was feeling helped. He needed a grand gesture. Like finding her sister Viola.
He approached the Lovac tribe. He knew it would be dangerous but worth a try.
The Lovac tribe was celebrating. They no longer slaved away in a mine working for shiny things the queen liked. They now breathed fresh air and felt the grass under their feet. Autumn’s rescue was quite the maneuver and the message for peace talks gave them hope. However, some were filled with fear, afraid it was a trap.

Ranger’s approach was unexpected but not unwelcome as they were in a good mood.
Ranger explained that he was looking for a woman with black hair that had a red shine when standing in the sun. She had blue eyes and she wasn’t from around these parts. He offered them good wine for her location, ten bottles to the one who finds her.
When celebrating wine was always welcome. A little well paid hunting trip, was the perfect sport for the youth that had already had too much to drink.
Ranger added that she must not be harmed nor be aware of them.
He just wants to know where she is and that she is safe.
So, five boys and five girls set out on the hunt for Viola. There drunken state slowed them down a little but they were able to find her scent and so the games began.
They discovered a tribe of women living in the forest. Viola had been there, but she was not there anymore. They followed her sent to a small town and then to Point. She was giving them quite the run around. Finally, they found her in an inn called Grey Beard’s Inn.
Drea found her. So, she raced back to claim her reward before anyone else could.
It was evening when she found Viola.
Ranger as promised gave her the ten bottles of wine. She was delighted.
Ranger departed.
