Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter 1: Prologue

Along time ago in a world of kings and queens, slaves and free, rich and poor. A king and queen ruled over many diverse tribes. This land was filled with wonder and magic, cruelty and kindness. Great highs and devastating lows. The name of this world was Chayim.

Chayim prospered because of the sugs (*Small unit guided streams: Portals) that enabled them to travel to, and trade with other worlds.

Many vastly different tribes, lived on this world in somewhat harmony. Trading and mining their many rare stones and useful minerals. The wealth of this world lay beneath the surface.

However, this world was small in comparison to its neighboring worlds, King Glade and Queen Fern became afraid of their neighboring worlds. Fearing the strength of their neighbors, they searched for a way to close the sugs forever. So that their unborn child would never know war. The king was plagued with night terrors of war and devastation to his world. So, his search was unending and relentless.

An orphan slave boy who had been bought by the king as a small child heard of the king’s plan to close the sugs. The sixteen-year-old slave volunteered to go with the army in search of a way to end all travel to their world. He hoped for his freedom and the opportunity to serve as a knight to the king. The king’s generals warned him that the people would be angry, but the king’s fear drove him on. (In Chayim slaves were educated as it added value to them and if they were later sold, the owner could make money.)

Five years later the boy returned. He had found a world few had traveled to, he had become part of a family on Earth, learnt the language and fallen in love.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

He discovered that earth’s disbelief made it almost impossible to open a sugs. So, it would be the perfect place to take the crystals that opened the sugs.

The slave told the king of his discovery and requested that he be granted his freedom to live on earth taking one of the powering crystals with him. The king agreed and the young man left Chayim forever to live on earth where he married the daughter of the family that took him in.

The forewarned reaction from the people was anger and they revolted against the king and queen, demanding that the sugs be reopened. But they couldn’t reopen them without the center crystal the young man had taken to earth.

Princess Pamela, grew, married and had sons and daughters in the unstable world her parents tried to protect her from.

The people’s anger grew and a rebellion stormed the castle demanding the sugs be reopened and when they weren’t, they killed all the royals they could find. A baby whose nurse hid her escaped the castle and raised the child in secret.

For years after that the tribe’s fought with each another and each tribe wanted to rule the kingdom.

When Tiffany the surviving child of Pamela was seventeen, she reclaimed the throne. The people wanted a ruler and that is what they got.

Queen Tiffany ruled with anger and cruelty. She wanted others to know what she had gone through. As a result, she was feared by all, even the bravest men in her service and the whole land.

The slave boy was now a young free man on a new world called earth. He believed his task had been accomplished. He sold the only one crystal that opened the ‘sugs’ to a jeweler. The other he hid. He thought the jeweler would ensure that the crystal could never be used again, but the jeweler was crocked. He discovered that the crystal passed the diamond tests, yet it wasn’t. So, he made pieces of jewellery from the crystal and called it his blue diamond range. His pieces were beautiful and so he became a wealthy and established name in the diamond industry.

About sixty years later the old man died a very wealthy man who was well known for his diamonds. Rachael Ceronio his beautiful granddaughter, the face of his empire inherited his estate.
