Day 3
Viola Stone had been having a horrible past two days. She could smell herself. Her beautiful expensive dress was damaged. She had other people’s blood staining her dress. Her hair needed a good wash.
Her sister that she barely knew was out here with her and taking an interest in a freaky guy who eyes glow red. Red!
Out of all the colours, it had to be red.
Oh, and her phone battery was almost flat.
She watched as Fiona and the super quick healing brawn draw each other pictures. It doesn’t seem real. But last night she stitched him up and this morning he was walking around like there hadn’t been a blade in his back.
Viola was sitting near the door, she liked having an escape route.
Fiona called over,
“Viola, I think we have found a way to communicate, come look.”
Fiona would touch a picture and then he would say a word.
He had a scroll and they were using it up. Fiona would draw something and Ranger would say what it was and Fiona would repeat it. She drew people, a family, a house, roads, and animals.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Fiona seemed to like the freaky share ‘my head space’ with a stranger. She was over sharing, but the good thing was she didn’t know enough about Viola to over share.
“I think he knows where a town is” Fiona said,
“I think he is willing to take us there.”
Ranger was freaky but he wasn’t a bad guy. He just wasn’t her cup of tea.
Fiona discovered his friend lived with people.
They are people who might be able to help them.
“Where is this?” She asked,
After a while and much persuading from Fiona, he agreed to take them to the city.
Viola requested a bath first.
Then they trekked through the jungle towards the town Point.
Ranger had grown fond of the girls. They had put themselves in harm’s way for him and they had tended to his wounds. He felt he owed them. Even though part of him thought
‘We are now even’.
He still felt indebted. They had possibly saved his life. Well, they had, but his life wouldn’t have been endangered if he hasn’t helped them to start off with.
Ranger had night vision and heat vision, part of that was seeing the soul. Depended on how hot they were and what colour he saw their soul in and how brightly their soul glowed. He could tell a lot about a person from the colour of their soul. Their aura or soul colour changed slightly when lying or being dishonest. He was very strong, healed quickly and could heal others. He could see into their soul when connecting with them. He could connect with someone against their will or without their knowledge. But he didn’t like to do that.
Whenever he used this ability, his eyes would glow. This would give him away.
He had enhanced hearing and smell as well. The Mystic Healers moto was.
Restore the soul and the body which is broken will heal itself.
This ability is why the queen wanted him. Wanted his father’s people.
They were mystic healers and the queen liked to make money off of this. Enslaving his people and making people pay to get healed. But healing someone took strength and it wears one out. So, his people kept dying under the queen’s rule.
Ranger was hiding in the forest. Hoping for a time when he could join people once again without fear.
Once Viola and Fiona had taken a bath, Ranger led them to the city Point. It was getting dark and none of them had money for a place to stay. Ranger wanted to leave but Fiona wouldn’t let him. So, they snuck into a stable and spent the night there. They had nothing to eat that night for dinner.
