You step on the button.
Ding.
A row of glowing blue buttons appears at eye-height along the wall. Beneath each button is a label.
Each label reads the same thing, two words:
Ghost Shark

----------------------------------------
...Well, that’s interesting. I presume that if you push the buttons, a ghost shark will appear?
Go ahead, push a button.
----------------------------------------
You push a button!
It doesn’t ding. Instead, there’s a woosh.
You look around. Behind you, floating in the air, is a shark. The ghost of a shark, to be precise. The ghost of a lemon shark, to be pedantic.
It looks at you for a few moments before turning to start swimming in circles around the room.
Interesting.
----------------------------------------
You decide to push the same button again.
The shark vanishes, and the button stops glowing.
Again, very interesting.
You push the next button, and the ghost of a shark appears. Push it again, and it’s gone.
Ok, you’ve figured out how this works.
----------------------------------------
You decide to interact with the shark.
You push a button, making a ghost shark appear. It looks at you. You step towards it, reaching out.
It opens its mouth and chomps down on your arm.
AAAAAAAAAAH!!! THE BLOOD! THE BLOOD EVERYWHERE!!!
----------------------------------------
Kidding. Heeheeheeheehee
What actually happens is, the teeth go straight through your arm. It feels freezing cold, but not much else. It certainly doesn’t hurt.
The shark realizes that it hasn’t had any effect on you.
It glares at you for a few seconds before opening its mouth, turning, and swimming away.
The shark is now ignoring you.
You push the button again, making it vanish. Out of curiosity, you next press two buttons at once.

Two sharks appear.
You look them over closely.
----------------------------------------
Now, I’m presuming you’re not a marine biologist or someone else who works closely with sharks. Or an expert on sharks. Statistically, that’s not probable.
Even so, you’re able to pick out subtle differences in the sharks. They aren’t the same shark.
So that means that there are… counts buttons… sixty-five individual shart ghosts that are summonable. Well, sixty-three now. Sixty-two. Look, I’m bad at math, ok?
Anyways, the sharks are kind of… indifferent towards each other and to you. So you push another button.
And another.
And another.
You end up with fifteen sharks in the room, all politely ignoring everything around them, swimming in circles.
----------------------------------------
This is fun! You push five of those buttons again. The remaining sharks don’t seem particularly alarmed. You summon a whole bunch of sharks! Then dismiss half of them!
Heh.
You push all the remaining buttons!
There’s a brief panic as the sharks sort themselves out, but it quickly fades.
One shark doesn’t move, though. It stays there, staring at you.
You look back at it. It’s slightly hard to see, since there are about three sharks between you and it at any given time, but it’s there.
You re-push a few buttons. The shark is still staring. You re-push a few more.
It slowly starts moving towards you, giving off an evil vibe.
You frantically start to push buttons, trying to find the button that the evil shark belongs to. It doesn’t vanish.
Finally you push the last button and turn around.
The shark is now half a foot away from you, still very much here. You glance down the row of buttons, making sure that they’re all dim. They are.
This shark shouldn’t be here. Its tail is waving slowly back and forth, staring at you like it can read your mind.
----------------------------------------
You grin, quickly realizing what the buttons do. You head to the corner, then run the length of the wall, pushing every single button.
The room erupts into chaos as sixty-four shark ghosts appear in more or less the same place. They do not like that they’re touching, and for a few moments there’s a ghost shark tornado in the room.
It’s beautiful.
You lean back, careful to not hit any buttons, and watch with a huge grin on your face.
It takes a couple minutes, but eventually they figure everything out and settle down into a slower and slightly less chaotic tornado. The fact that they’re all slightly see-through makes it even cooler.
----------------------------------------
After a while you notice one shark in particular. It’s watching you. All the other sharks are politely ignoring you, but this one seems to stare every time it swims past you.
It’s kinda creepy.
Suddenly it changes course, heading straight at you. Slowly, sure, but it’s deff coming towards you.
----------------------------------------
Wellp, that’s enough ghost shark watching for you! You run back along the wall, re-pressing all the buttons. One by one the sharks vanish.
All except the one that’s still swimming towards you.
The buttons are all dim now, their ghost energy all gone. You press the one on the end a third time, and nothing happens.
The evil shark is getting closer. And closer. It seems to be smiling, and not in a friendly way.
----------------------------------------
You realize that there’s one button in the room still glowing.
The red one. The one in the middle of the room.
Just before the shark can bite your face off (or try to, at least), you dive for the red button.
The shark turns, following you, shooting towards your hand to stop you.
You feel the freezing cold as ghostly teeth sink into your fingers.
Ding.
DO YOU PUSH THE-- oh, you already did...
