Investments and Performance

July 4th, 1995

“Bro, wake up. You can’t sleep in today your performing this afternoon.” Kyla said, dragging her half-asleep brother out of bed.

“Fine, I’m up. I’ll be downstairs in five minutes. Now get out, or I'm not singing you any more lullabies when it's bedtime.” Trey threaten.

“Okay, but you better be downstairs soon or else.” Kyla walked out of the room in a huff. Trey missed the days when she let him sleep in. She got stricter with him upon learning how famous and rich her little brother was. She vowed to ensure he never got lazy, letting his great talents go to waste.

It had been three months since he signed a deal with Wayne Entertainment. His fan points, along with his income, had exploded. Trey had already paid off the five million dollar advance back and then some. He made 40 million off his books alone. He even made the books in 7 other languages, ensuring kids worldwide could read his books. He kept his identity secret, though, using Mr. Imagination as his pseudo-name for writing. While his one-hit single “I Want You Back” had made him 5 million dollars so far. His debut album was coming out tomorrow. He would play some of it today at a charity event hosted by the Wayne Foundation.

Trey hadn’t been idle all this time, either. He spent every weekend finishing his album along with recreating new books. What he made sure to keep in his schedule was time with family or long bouts of sleep. Trey still needed lots of sleep despite all the help from the system. He’s a growing boy, after all. He had over 10 million fan points he’d been saving for once he crossed the Superhuman tier. He already paid the 100,000 system requirement to reach the next tier. For the strength requirement, his young body held him back. His body was in good shape for his age but was nowhere near something like Batman’s peak human strength. Trey was working on a plan to speed up the process with more powers that involved some risks. He’d eliminate the major ones and start today. He had to be ready because Darkseid was coming to earth before the year ended.

Trey’s clone Desmond also worked hard during this time. He opened a company on their behalf named Beyond Industries & Solutions, or BIS for short. He’s created the following subsidiaries:

MomCorp(Apple/Robotics), Globex(Google/Search Engine), Dock Tease(Boats),

E Corp(Data and Social Media), Buy-N-Large (Walmart), Anna Rex(Lingerie),

Amazoon (Amazon), Abstergo Industries(Games/Virtual Reality),

Empire Entertainment(Music), Musashino Animation, Toy Express(Merchandise),

Pendant Publishing(Books/Comics/Manga), Zafiro Añejo(Tequila),

Ponsonbys(Mostly Men’s Clothing), Bouis Uitton(Mostly Women’s Clothing)

Atlas Corporation(Manufacturing Military), Luxury Motorsport(Cars/Bikes),

Wu-tang Financial(Bank/Brokerage), Wonka Industries(Food/Candy),

Coco-Cola(Drinks), Good Burger(Fast Food), GodTube(YouTube),

Umbrella Corporation(Pharmaceuticals/Cosmetics), Bada Bing(Strip Club),

Diamond Casino & Resort, and Universal Studios (Movies/Shows). He thanked Beyond that those fictional companies could count towards points. They would earn points on name recognition and the products they made. He’s had three million working capital so far for BIS. He decided to go all in on Pendant Publishing first. Books would be his primary source of points until he could expand into other fields. Today, two new books will be unveiled at the event, alongside some of his favorite childhood games.

Desmond also mastered many human skills while Trey worked on his album. He learned cooking, writing, directing, sewing, parkour, and animation, to name a few. He was working on releasing two movies before the year was over. The last thing he did was start preliminary work for their base. Every great superhero has a secret base. He’d been gathering materials in a warehouse for months. Funded by money he got from shorting LexCorp. He had made off with four million before Baldy stopped the bleeding.

Later that day, Trey came with his family to Met U stadium. The original plan was for him to perform in the auditorium. That had to be changed when the public got wind that he’d be performing for the first time. Trey underestimated the level of fame someone comparable to Michael Jackson could have. People were flying in from around the world to see him perform. Bruce moved the event to the stadium and allowed the event to be televised to appease everyone. Trey’s family was seated front row along with Bruce, Clark, and Lois. He made sure his red suit was proper and walked out on stage. The crowd went nuts before he said anything. When they finally calmed down, he began his speech.

“Hello, I’m Trey Carter. Thank you all for attending the Wayne Foundation’s annual charity event. Today’s event is going toward cancer research. Please donate to help all the sick people in need.” Trey begged, using his signature special move. The crowd erupted again, promising to donate to the cause.

“Before I start the performance, I have an announcement to make. I have agreed to do two theme songs for two new shows in collaboration with the famous Mr. Imagination. Wayne Entertainment will produce. I’ll perform the theme songs today and some new songs. I hope you enjoy them.” Trey said with a smile. He gave the signal for the band to start the performance.

“I wanna be the very best

Like no one ever was

To catch them is my real test

To train them is my cause

I will travel across the land

Searching far and wide

Teach Pokémon to understand

The power that's inside

(Pokémon

Gotta catch 'em all) It's you and me

I know it's my destiny (Pokémon)

Oh, you're my best friend

In a world we must defend (Pokémon

Gotta catch 'em all) A heart so true

Our courage will pull us through

You teach me and I'll teach you (Ooh, ooh)

Pokémon! (Gotta catch 'em all)

Gotta catch 'em all!” Trey sung. The crowd cheered despite not knowing what a Pokémon was yet. He continued with his second song.

“There's 104 days of summer vacation

And school comes along just to end it!

So the annual problem of our generation

Is finding a good way to spend it!

Like maybe!” Trey finished one of Disney’s most memorable theme songs. It was one of the songs off of his album. He followed up with ABC, and I Want You Back. The crowd sang along, knowing the lyrics to I Want You Back, and ABC was easy to learn. For his final song, he took out his gold guitar. He announced to the crowd that he’d do this last song in Japanese and English.

“Gokigen na chou ni natte kirameku kaze ni notte

Ima sugu kimi ni ai ni yukou

Yokei na koto nante wasureta hou ga mashi sa

Kore ijou shareteru jikan wa nai

Nani ga wow wow wow wow wow kono sora ni todoku no darou

Dakedo wow wow wow wow wow ashita no yotei mo wakaranai

Mugendai na yume no ato no nanimo nai yo no naka ja

Sou sa itoshii omoi mo makesou ni naru kedo

Stay shigachi na imeeji darake no tayorinai tsubasa demo

Kitto toberu sa on my love!” Trey sang the opening for Digimon. Most of the crowd didn’t understand the words but enjoyed the song regardless. Once he finished his English encore, it was time for his final announcement.

“Thank you, everyone. I hope you enjoyed the show. Under your seats are some presents from my friend Mr. Imagination. My debut album Trey comes out tomorrow goodnight, everyone.” Trey finished and walked off the stage. Everyone in the crowd wondered what was under their seats.
