Business Plans Part 1

Business Plans Part 1

December 10th, 1995

General POV

While his original body was losing his sweater virginity, Desmond was at his apartment making expansion plans. After his painful loss to Darkseid, he knew he needed to get stronger. The best way to do so was to earn more points. He went about this in three different ways. The first of which was via books and media.

Pokémon & Digimon animes had launched earlier this month with great success. The associated merchandise sales were also doing great. Wayne Entertainment had to buy more factories to keep up with the production. He made 100 million from the deal after taking out Bruce’s cut and paying back the advance. His following two animation films should earn him at least another 300 million. They’d be released next week.

Next, Desmond spent most of his time finishing the films while recreating more shows & manga. Friday's suggestion had made him a lot of profit recently. As a man, he tended to recreate stories for a male or gender-neutral audience. Friday suggested making more pseudo-names to produce more content, specifically more women-oriented content.

He then recreated The Power Puff Girls, My Little Pony, Slayers, and Sailor Moon for girls. The Ms. Fantasy pseudo name would be attached to these projects. Additionally, he also created a teen mature & toddler division for animation. He recreated Cowboy Bebop, Jackie Chan Adventures, and Neon Genesis Evangelion for the teen mature division. The toddler division got all-time classics from the 90’s Dragon Tales, The Magic School Bus, Caillou, Franklin, Veggie Tales, and Arthur.

Trey would redo the theme songs in conjunction with a compilation theme song album. Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Hunter x Hunter will be released as mangas in the first half of next year. As for the novels, Harry Potter was the only one he had worked on. He would roll out all these projects over the next year.

In addition to media, he started working on his other businesses. Desmond got an idea from the park Trey had gone to. He would follow in Disney’s footsteps and build a theme park based on his works. He checked Anaheim, London, Orlando, and Tokyo for land. Most of the surrounding areas were still available outside a few different towns. Des purchased 10,000 acres in Anaheim. The rest he got were 50,000 acres in or near the other cities. This cost him 170 million after taxes and fees. He then spent the rest of his capital on technology. Des took 75 million, splitting it up into MomCorp, Globex, GodTube, Amazoon, and E Corp. He’d take advantage now to dominate the digital age coming in the early 2000s. (This world is about five or so years ahead of where the real-life 1995 was technology-wise.) One issue that was coming up was running all these companies. He put Jarvis on the problem last month to see if he could fix it. Today he announced he had some results.

“Sir, the search you requested is complete. Based on your memories, I have compiled a list of suitable candidates to manage your companies. All are at the human tier as you requested.” Jarvis informed him.

“Thanks, Jarvis. There’s one last thing I need to know. System, can I send someone I summon back?”

[Yes, however, only if they’re in a tier below you & they agree to go back. Points will be refunded.]

“Perfect, summon the most business-savvy ones,” Desmond commanded. Immediately four new figures appeared in the room. Everyone was in their prime with all their previous memories. Before they started freaking out, Desmond used his telepathy to calm them down. It took him an hour to explain the situation.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“You’ve reincarnated us into a new universe. Are only options are too run your companies or die again?” Eli Pope(Scandal) asked calmly.

“When you put it like that, it makes me look bad. Let’s not act like any of you led innocent lives. I choose each of you for your talents & life experiences. I’m showing you all respect by not mind-controlling you.” Desmond replied.

“Mr. Creed, was it? Unlike everyone in this room, I’ve dealt with your kind before. You are not using your powers because you have limitations or don’t want to control us. I assume it’s the later. Your not looking for puppets but subordinates.” Stan Edgar(The Boys) said, feeling out his intentions.

“Terms & conditions? What?” Jamie Moriarty(Elementary) said as everyone looked at her. They were surprised at how direct she was.

“I concur. Tell us your offer. At worst, I’ll go back in the dirt with no harm, no foul. At best, I get to live a new exciting life.” Raymond Reddington(Blacklist) said, taking a seat. He was the calmest out of all of them. Everyone then turned their attention back to Desmond.

“I’ll be blunt. You’re not the smartest nor the strongest people I could’ve brought to this universe. You are objectively the weakest. So why did I choose you? It's because you’re each the most resourceful people in your worlds. Excluding Edgar, you all live in normal worlds with no powers or special skills, yet you, through skill alone, brought the world to its knees. That is way more impressive than someone being born with power and skills. Even if they developed their ability, it still doesn’t compare. Edgar, you were right earlier that I want subordinates, not puppets. You all fit my criteria for being smart enough to run things on your own, ruthless enough when needed, while still having enough humanity to do the right thing. I have seen each of your lives in spite of all the terrible things you’ve done. Your goals are always for the betterment of humanity. In your own twisted ways.” Desmond explained. He let his words sit before continuing.

“This multiverse has a plethora of powerful super-intelligent beings. I can become the strongest with my powers, but I know I can’t account for everything. I’m literally the smartest person in this room, yet I’m smart enough to know nothing beats experience. Something you all have an abundance of. My terms are simple no killing of the innocent, no harming other members, and my orders are absolute. We will sign an unbreakable magic contract to enforce these rules. Join me. Together we will protect this planet and this universe. I’ll give you power, unlike anything you’ve had before.” Desmond said with a serious expression.

“Can you bring back someone from the dead?” Raymond asked slowly. Trey nodded, knowing whom he was asking about.

“In this universe, no, but from yours, yes. I can bring Liz & Tom back. I can do it at the end of the year. I have to get a secure location set up to your standards.” Desmond responded. Raymond nodded in agreement. Desmond knew he wouldn’t take anything less than the best to protect Liz. He surveyed the rest of the room.

“Well, darling, your offer sounds good. I’m willing to agree. My world was dull. This world seems bright and full of color. You have me intrigued.” Jaime also agreed.

“I’ll agree on two conditions Oliva never comes into this universe, along with an additional clause of you never betraying us.” Eli Pope said. Desmond nodded, then looked at Edgar.

“You had me when you didn’t control us. The supes on my world are all idiots. You at least have a plan. The job you offer is exactly like my old one. I can be a rich CEO instead of a babysitter. Where do I sign?” Edgar said with a smirk.

Desmond then used his new null magic Contract. They all signed after reviewing the terms one last time. Desmond’s first subordinates had joined him.
