Concert

July 4th, 1996

General POV

At Met U stadium, a roaring crowd was cheering as Trey walked out on stage. He was wearing a navy blue suit & black shades. Today was once again the annual charity event hosted by Wayne Foundation. What got the crowd excited was Trey announced there would be another surprise this year. Most had already checked under their seats but found nothing, unlike the previous year. It seemed like the surprise wouldn’t be a free present this year. As Trey approached the microphone, he winked at his family and friends sitting in the front row. Artemis, who wasn’t big on concerts, was dragged by Holly to sit in the front row & show support for his friend. Holly had been able to show up in public thanks to a poly juice potion Trey gave her. She had a bunch at home, thanks to the Duplicator, until they found a more permanent solution.

“I want to thank you again for coming to the Wayne Foundation’s charity event. Today I’ll be performing a few songs off my new album that comes out later this year. Some of the songs will also be accompanied by trailers for upcoming projects for Mr. Imagination. I hope you all enjoy it.” Trey said, then he signaled to the band & chorus he was going to begin.

“Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me

I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed

She was looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb

In the shape of an "L" on her forehead

Well, the years start comin' and they don't stop comin'

Fed to the rules and I hit the ground runnin'

Didn't make sense not to live for fun

Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb

So much to do, so much to see

So what's wrong with taking the backstreets?

You'll never know if you don't go (W-w-wacko)

You'll never shine if you don't glow

Hey now, you're an all star

Get your game on, go play

Hey now, you're a rock star

Get the show on, get paid

(And all that glitters is gold)

Only shootin' stars break the mold!”Trey sang as the trailer for Shrek appeared on the screen. The crown loved the song. The song was a departure from his R&B-focused sound from the last album. He followed it up with I’m a Believer & Bohemian Rhapsody. Both songs kept everyone out of their seats, jamming to the music. For the next song, he took out his guitar.

“Just a small-town girl, livin' in a lonely world

She took the midnight train goin' anywhere

Just a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit

He took the midnight train goin' anywhere” Trey sang as his guitar solo followed right after.

“A singer in a smoky room

The smell of wine and cheap perfume

For a smile, they can share the night

It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waitin'

Up and down the boulevard

Their shadows searchin' in the night

Streetlights, people

Livin' just to find emotion

Hidin' somewhere in the night!” Trey bellowed, hitting the high note. He finished the song with thunderous applause. Trey continued the concert by playing more classic Queen songs, Somebody to Love, Another One Bites the Dust, We will Rock you, and We are the Champions. The crowd went ballistic for the final two. He had to stop them from begging for more than one encore. When he finally got the public to calm down, he made his final announcement.

“Thank you hope you enjoyed the show. We have one last surprise for everyone. Allow me to welcome my good friend Artemis Fowl to the stage. He’s the Ceo of Umbrella Corporation, a pharmaceutical company. His new product will change the world.” Trey said, smiling as Artemis walked up beside him, holding a red box. They shook hands then Trey stepped back with the box. The crowd was surprised at how young he also was.

“Hello everyone, allow me to introduce my new product. Baymax,” Artemis said. He then slapped his arm and said Oww confusing the crowd. Trey then placed the box on the ground. The box opened up, revealing a white blob. The blob soon inflated into a tubby-looking white robot. He exited the box and walked in front of Artemis.

“Hello, I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. I was alerted when you said, ‘Oww,’ On a scale from one to ten, how would you rate your pain? Baymax asked.

“Two,” Artemis replied.

“I will commence scanning now,” Baymax said to Artemis. He scanned his body with a blue light.

“Scan complete you have a slight abrasion on your forearm. I suggest an antibacterial spray.” Baymax said. He grabbed Artemis’s arm, gently spraying it, healing the minor injury.

“Baymax has over 10,000 medical procedures programmed in. He also can identify almost any disease or injury. Umbrella will also update him as new medical knowledge comes out.” Artemis explained as Baymax finished spraying his arm.

As Artemis finished his explanation, Trey decided to mess with him.

“Baymax, I think Artemis is nervous showing you off for the first time. He needs your help to calm his emotions. Please help him,” Trey begged the robot. Artemis kept a calm face, but inwardly he was cursing his friend. With a stiff smile, he nodded, agreeing to Trey’s words. Baymax went in for a hug.

“There, There, everything will be all right,” Baymax said softly, holding him. Trey gave Artemis a mocking thumbs up. At the same time, Artemis was plotting how he would get revenge for this slight against him. The crowd was awed at the young boy hugging the cute robot.

“I’m satisfied with your care,” Artemis said, wanting to get this over with. His face was slightly red from embarrassment. Baymax let go going back into his red box. He deflated, saying goodbye to everyone. Trey & Artemis concluded the event by announcing the plan was for Baymax to be in every hospital around the world. They also announced they would donate a Baymax for every one sold. These ones would go to free clinics & other areas in need. Orders would start next week. The crowd cheered at the prospect of Baymax helping save lives worldwide.
