<—During Jin-Jie’s and Yueng-Liang’s lunch—>
Caihong surprised her brother by coming home from school early.
“Surprise big bro. What are you making.” Caihong ambushed Syaoran with a hug.
“Ahh!” Syaoran jumped a little. Caihong peeked her head out from behind Syaoran’s back. Fired eggs with spam over rice? Isn’t this one of Jin-Jie’s favorite dishes?
“Are you cooking for Jie Jie?” Caihong started to look around for Jin-Jie
“She isn’t here Caihong. I just wanted to eat this, and if Jin-Jie wanted some she could have some too.” Syaoran’s voice trailed off.
“Thats nice. But your little sister demands food! Feed me!” Caihong was already sitting at the table pounding her fork on the table.
“Okay hold on.” Syaoran grabbed a plate for her and delivered it with the steamy egg over rice. The smell emanating from it drew Caihong in.
“Wow it smells splendid.” Caihong took a healthy spoonful and shoved it in her mouth.
“What? Your not eating?” Caihong swallowed.
“Not right now.” Syaoran swept the floor. Caihong looked at her brother, something was strange, but she didn’t know what.
“Hey, where is Jie Jie?” Caihong asked.
“Oh she has an assistant job, she said it was only a morning job, and that she’ll be back in the afternoon.” Syaoran started to wash some dishes. Cooking, cleaning, washing, these were all things Syaoran would not normally do. Caihong remembered that back home their parents would make them learn these skills, and they both hated it, but ever since Jie Jie started to live here hes been doing all of these things for him. Wait she? Caihong just realized. When did Syaoran refer to Jie-Jie as her. She knew that she considered Jie Jie as a guy even though she would call him her sister just to tease him, but when did her brother start saying her? He has been taking care of Jie Jie for 18 months when the accident happened. He was the on who reassured Jie Jie’s mom that he would take care of him. Has all that time taking care of Jie Jie made my brother see Jie Jie as a girl?
“Hey Syaoran do you consider Jin-Jie a girl?” Caihong lifted her spoon. Syaoran dropped some cups he was washing in the sink, making a clunk noise.
“Uhh, no he’s my best friend, Jie Jie is a guy.” Syaoran stuttered out. Syaoran did not want to admit it but,all of theses months taking care of Jin-Jie transformed his view of him, combo-ed with the way Jin-Jie acted it was almost impossible not to see him as a girl. Syaoran did try not to have this come between their friendship, but he was unsure if he still could. He felt weird.
“Oh really…” Caihong said sounding unconvinced.
“You know little sis won’t blame you for seeing Jie Jie as a girl, SHE is quite beautiful.” Caihong started to convince herself that Jin-Jie was a girl now. As much as Syaoran wanted to admit it. He felt that it would be wrong of him to declare it. So he denied it. Caihong waved her hand in the air and kept eating.
“Well whatever, if you ever need help, I’ll be here.” Caihong thought it would actually be quite nice if Jin-Jie could actually join their family. Jin-Jie was already considered family as early as Caihong could remember. Syaoran and Jin-Jie were best friends that knew each other since they were young, so its a perfect match. Caihong smiled to herself.
“I’m so stuffed…” Jin-Jie stumbled through the entrance. Syaoran face turned a little glum before he welcomed Jin-Jie.
“Welcome back Jie Jie.”
“Hey Syaoran, oh your here Caihong. Your still calling me that Syaoran…” Jin-Jie half heartedly joked. As much as Jin-Jie didn't like Jie Jie, he slowly began to accept it.

“Well now I have an excuse to call you it.” Syaoran hid his true intentions away. And decided to fall under the guise of teasing Jin-Jie with his nickname rather then calling him Jie-Jie because he thought it suited him more now.
“Yup Big bro cooked you one of your favorites. You’ll have a little bit right?” Caihong sat Jin-Jie at a table. This time when Caihong brought it up, Syaoran didn’t deny he cooked it for Jin-Jie. He wanted Jin-Jie to enjoy himself.
“Thanks, it looks really good. But I’m coming off a lot of food right now.” Jin-Jie held his belly.
“Come on! You don’t want Syaoran’s hard labor go to waste right?” Caihong scooted up her chair closer, placing her plate in front of Jin-Jie.
The food did look good. And Syaoran did make it for me. Jin-Jie rubbed his stomach. Alright one bite couldn’t hurt. Jin-Jie took one small portion into his mouth. Immediately Jin-Jie’s eyes sparkled, and a big grin stretched across his face. He wanted to eat the rest of the plate so badly, but his body was screaming no.
Seeing this conflicted Jin-Jie, Syaoran chuckled a little.
“Why are you laughing! I’m confiscating this for later.” Jin-Jie got up and started packing the remainder of Syaoran’s cooking. Syaoran smiled to himself again before rising up and placing his arms around Jin-Jie to help him pack.
“Let me help you.” Syaoran said after his hands were already around Jin-Jie’s waist.
“Hey don’t think that just because I’m smaller then you, you can trap me!” Jin-Jie took Syaoran’s gesture as a challenge.
“Well what are you going to do about it.” Syaoran enclosed Jin-Jie in a backwards bear hug.
“This!” Jin-Jie position his fingers to Syaoran’s sides, and pushed. Jin-Jie knew all of Syaoran’s ticklish spots, and choose to attack him in the ribs. But Syaoran knew the same, and counter attacked.
“You scum! Relying on theeese tactics won’t get you far! Jin-Jie laughed while struggling to peel Syaoran’s hands off his sides. Syaoran kept up the pressure, as a happy grin set on his face.
“Aren’t you two lovely?” Caihong casually sipped her water, while grinning smugly. As if lightning had just surged through Syaoran’s body he froze. Jin-Jie was laughing to much to hear Caihong’s statement, and took this opportunity for his counter attack, by ball tapping him. Syaoran backed against a wall and held his groin squirming a little in pain.
“I win!” Jin-Jie held his fists up high until he realized his stomach wasn’t feeling so well.
“I think I moved around to much … I’m goona go rest.” Jin-Jie exited back to his room.
“The more I think about it, the more I think you two are a fine match.” Caihong’s grin widened even more, as she walked towards the fridge. Syaoran fell silent. Do I really think of Jie Jie as a woman now?
While Syaoran was having a great internal struggle, Caihong sprang from the table.
“EHHHHHH! Big Bro look at this!” Caihong shoved her phone forward to reveal an article. That read ‘President Liang’s new girlfriend!”. The picture of course was the ones Jin-Jie and Yueng-Liang took earlier. Syaoran heart swayed a little.
“I thought you said she was an assistant! How did it develop this fast!” Caihong started walking towards Jin-Jie’s room. “I’m going to speak with him!” Caihong bolted.
“Wait!” Syaoran grabbed Caihong. “Let her rest.” Syaoran emphasized the word her. Syaoran’s eyes were warm. Caihong had never seen her brother this endearing before.
“We should respect her wishes and accept it. I can ask about it when she wakes up. Syaoran patted Caihong’s shoulder. Caihong brought a finger to her chin. Earlier you were denying that Jie Jie was a girl, and now your accepting it so easily. Were you just looking for an excuse to call Jie Jie a girl now? Caihong’s smug smile came out. Caihong was 100 percent correct but decided to let it be and left with a wink.
“There’s no way you would have a boyfriend, especially him. If you want to be a girl, I can support you all the way.” Syaoran spoke to Jin-Jie’s door.
