Jin-Jie stood outside the Huang cooperation’s main building. Its just happens it was his lucky day since they were holding open interviews for Yueng-Liang’s assistant. Jin-Jie thought it was perfect. Jin-Jie sat down in the waiting room with a couple other lovely women.
Hm? No men only women? Is Yueng-Liang sexist or something? Jin-Jie tried to recall if he had been before his accident. But he couldn’t pin point a specific memory where he was.
“Ms.An please sign this, and we will have your interview shortly.” A friendly attendant handed Jin-Jie a work contract. Jin-Jie was a little surprised by hearing the surname An, but he remembered that his name was now An-Jie, and not Jin-Jie. Jin-Jie took the pen and was causally signing it till he realized what he was signing. The label read assistant keep confidential! Requirements, acting.
Acting? What could that mean Jin-Jie stopped signing and let some ink build up on the paper. What is that? Acting assistant? what does that entail! Is the Huang cooperation launching a movie? The Huang cooperation is a tech cooperation, but they did have some films even if they weren't known for it.( Think Sony) Jin-Jie held his head trying to think of what that could mean.
“Ms.An?”
“Aww!” Spooked by his own name being called he flicked the pen off the document as if he was finishing his signature.
“Thanks please wait till we call you.” The attendant swiped the paper away, leaving a very stunned Jin-Jie.
Jin-Jie’s initial plan was to become someone close to Yueng-Liang like his girlfriend now that he had become a women, but rolling the idea over in his head more scared him. If he was Yueng-Liang’s girlfriend then he would have to engage in other girlfriend stuff… Maybe being an assistant was close enough to sabotage him. This idea felt comfortable for Jin-Jie and he mentally agreed with himself that he would aim to be the best assistant he could be, until it came time to strike. Jin-Jie felt a little worrisome about the word acting but, he thought another opportunity like this wouldn’t come by again so conveniently. While Jin-Jie was plotting all the ways he could ruin Yueng-Liang’s career he was called in.
Inside the interview room was a small chair and a desk with 3 other people sitting on the other side. Jin-Jie immediately recognized Yueng-Liang and promptly glared at him. Yueng-Liang was writing something on a piece of paper, not seeming to care at all at the person who just walked in.
“Hello Ms.An is something wrong?” A gentlemen to Yueng-Liang’s right said. Jin-Jie immediately stopped glaring and gave a bright smile.
“No, I just saw a bug. A disgusting one.”
“Well alright. Ms.An it says here on your resume that you were a former computer specialist manager can you tell us some of the responsibilities you had?” The gentlemen asked.
“Well I insured that all of my subordinates were on a tight leash, and made sure all the assigned work was done on time.”
“How important is confidentiality to you?”
“It is extremely important.” Jin-Jie responded with the utmost confidence.
“Ok Ms. An I’m going to hold up a number in my hands, under any circumstance do not say it out loud for the remaining of this interview.” The gentlemen held up the number two. After he lifted up his hand he settled his paper down, and looked at the older women to Yueng-Liang’s left. A strange request indeed, but an easy one nonetheless, Jin-Jie thought about being a little cheeky about if the right time arrived.
“You certainly are very beautiful Ms.An, but can you tell me why are you wearing a male suit.” The women’s words were delivered in a cold way as if she had already decided Jin-Jie wasn’t good enough. Jin-Jie’s brain went into rapid fire, as he thought of some fabulous BS. This morning when preparing he wore his nicest suit which had shrunk a little due to washing, but actually fit him quite nicely now. This suit had always been his good luck suit, it was a standard black suit with small grey stripes hinted around the edges. It wasn’t a unique suit, but one that meant a lot to Jin-Jie, but Jin-Jie couldn’t say he wore it cause he liked it, it was just that he didn't have a female suit!
“Well it’s so that you would take me seriously without my looks, I want to be hired on who I am not what I look like. I feel like this suit represents my demeanor.” Jin-Jie sweated a couple pounds off of his life span. The women looked at him with a curious gaze, and then nudged Yueng-Liang.

“I think we are done.” The women said as she pulled out another sheet of paper.
“Okay you, thats it for today. Have a good rest of your day.” Hearing the confirmation from the two other people in the room Yueng-Liang stood up, and left.
Eh? Whats wrong with Yueng-Liang? Why did he seemed so pissed off? Also is this how job interviews go now? Jin-Jie was shocked at how unorthodox this was. Has things really changed in these past two-ish years? And why can’t I say two?! Well You can have a very good day yourself Mr. Self imposed president!
“Oh thanks, you three.” Jin-Jie’s tone was indifferent, and he immediately regretted the words that came from his mouth. Yueng-Liang paused at the doorway, and chuckled a little before leaving.
Laugh at me! Oh my gosh! I’m glad you left! If you were still here I’d be sitting on top of you! Jin-Jie clenched his fists under the table. The woman across from Jin-Jie began sighing in disappointment.
“So Ms.An I’m assuming you know of the rumors going around with President Yueng right?” The women across from Jin-Jie directed her gaze towards her, and sighed. Jin-Jie rage fizzled out like an ice cube in a sizzling pan, and remembered what he said.
What was that Jin-Jie! Three! You could have just said thanks, or stayed silent! Arggg I must look like an idiot now! Jin-Jie beat himself up mentally, thinking that he just failed the interview. The women looked at the gentlemen neatly stacking the papers, and nodded.
“Hey are you listening?”
“Ah sorry rumors? No I haven’t heard of it.” Jin-Jie answered truthfully. The women looked at him like she just regretted what she was about to do.
“Basically Yueng-Liang was found with pop idol Meiling on multiple occasions. This has caused both of their reputations to plummet, people think the pop idol Mei is getting special treatment and offers from President Yu, and some are claiming that President Yu is abusing his power. The women groaned as if this was basic knowledge in the media industry. And with great hesitation, the woman opened her mouth.
“So hey fill this out you.. You can start tomorrow.” The women reluctantly pushed some papers forwards as if nothing was wrong with what Jin-Jie said. Jin-Jie gulped and started signing more of the paperwork, very confused about this whole interview process.
The women grabbed the paper back from Jin-Jie. “Let me introduce myself as we will be unfortunately working together now. I am Yueng-Qiu I am President Yu’s aunt and manage his public image, and meetings. You were the only applicant who didn’t seem conniving, so don’t get to comfortable, I choose you because you seemed the easiest.” Yueng-Qiu trailed off.
Pff! Not conniving! If I didn't get smacked by that car my devious revenge would be settled and you wouldn't have a job! I guess that means I really am a great actor! Hehe! Jin-Jie mentally stroked his own ego. Wait easiest what is that supposed to mean! Jin-Jie’s temper rose again.
“Bensen go over the details with Ms.An, I’ll see you tomorrow morning for the photo shoot.” Yueng-Qiu got up and left, leaving the gentlemen named Bensen to fill Jin-Jie in.
“Congratulations on getting hired Ms.An. First off I’d like to apologize for the number two thing, President Yu puts these random questions in interviews to watch people squirm.”
What happened to Yueng-Liang? Did becoming the president really make you that cocky to become a sadist? Jin-Jie pondered.
“So from tomorrow on wards you will be acting as President Yu’s girlfriend. We will publicly announce it on various social media’s and news sources tomorrow.”
“What!” Jie-Jin couldn’t maintain his mental fortitude from Bensen’s last statement, as his mind froze.
“Oh don’t worry, you just have to pose with him tomorrow, the most you will be doing is acting lovely together on dates. You won’t have any intimate interactions besides holding hands.” Bensen explained, while pushing up his small glasses. Jin-Jie breathed a sigh of relief, as he didn’t want to ‘engage’ in any of that kind of ‘other’ stuff that a normal girlfriend would do. Jin-Jie was a little curious though, as a President of the Huang cooperation Yueng-Liang could easily dispel these rumors, at the price of this pop idol Meiling’s reputation. He didn’t have to hire a fake girlfriend.
“If you are curious, yes I’m sure President Yu could just dismiss this, but President Yu seems fond of pop idol Mei, and wants to do this to ease the speculations on their relationship.” Bensen answered as if reading Jin-Jie’s mind.
Jin-Jie’s head immediately beamed with devious plans, as he grinned as if she had just one checkmate.
Oh your finally in love with someone Yueng-Liang. Allow your cupid to assist you with that, it will just cost you everything else! Jin-Jie chuckled while curling up his hands to his face.
“Are you alright Ms.An?”
“Uh! YEAH I’m perfectly fine!” Jin-Jie snapped up.
