A Weak Point!

♪Ring♪ Jin-Jie’s phone rang off.

“Lian” Jin-Jie whispered before picking up the phone.

“Sorry to call so late Ms.An. The media is getting real suspicious of Mei recently. I need to squash these rumors for Mei’s sake. I need you to come with me to our companies newest movie premiere this weekend.” Lian sounded very stressed as he uttered the last word.

Is Mei upset that there are still rumors floating around? Jin-Jie scratched her head thinking about it.

“Ms.An?”

“Aw! Yes, I’m here!” Jin-Jie fumbled the phone.

“Be there at 9 in the morning.” Lian hung up the phone abruptly.

Eh? Jin-Jie thought, as she finally processed the information. Eh! Jin-Jie immediately raced back to Syaoran’s room, bursting down the door.

“Syaoran! When is the movie!” Jin-Jie started yelling urgently.

Syaoran looked up from his phone. “Oh I was thinking about getting some dinner first so probably at night.” Syaoran smiled.

She must be really excited about it. Syaoran snuggled back into bed as Jin-Jie slammed the door close.

Great! It doesn't conflict! Jin-Jie underestimated how long she was going to be with Lian.

The next day was a beautiful one with sunshine giving a lifelike glow to everything. Jin-Jie left the house with a dazzling floral skirt and a blue bomber jacket. At first she hated the idea of wearing skirts but now felt that they were very comfortable especially as the breeze past through her legs on a hot day.

Meeting at the movie theater Jin-Jie was recognized and was pulled into a back room.

“Your here early.” Lian greeted Jin-Jie in a disgruntled tone.

What’s he so grumpy about? Jin-Jie sat on the nearby small couch. Lian got up brushing his nice gray tux, and straightened his fancy tie.

Ha I had a better suit when I— Lian immediately pulled Jin-Jie up. “Make it convincing.” Lian guided Jin-Jie towards the entrance.

Can’t I relax a little! Jin-Jie tormented her captor, as she was whisked to the theater room.

“Stay silent.” Lian let go of Jin-Jie’s hand and stepped up in front of the huge screen. And in front of all the lucky viewers, critics, reporters, and famous media personalities Lian spoke how thankful he was that everyone could come, and a bunch of other jargon promoting the movie. Jin-Jie tuned out of it.

“Also I’d like you all to meet An-Jie my girlfriend.” Lian gestured towards Jin-Jie. Jin-Jie’s head snapped out of its daze, as anger filled Jin-Jie’s fists. She knew she was just pretending but it bugged her being called that so publicly. Jin-Jie held her anger in and smiled politely.

Yes Yes, I’m his girl lets just watch this movie so I can leave. I can be doing other fun things right now. Jin-Jie sat down next to Lian in the special VIP seats avoiding all the stares, and picture flashes.

After sitting down the theater was dark for a second before flickering on the brilliant swirl of colors of the Huang logo. Then with a slow fade in “Ramen Catcher 3”

!!!! Jin-Jie braced her chair, and blinked her eyes in disbelief. Quickly Jin-Jie’s eyes darted to Lian. “When did you acquire this?!”

“About a month ago I’m quite a fan of the first two movies. So I purchased the rights.” Lian calmly said as the movie started to unfold! Jin-Jie sat in the lavish movie chairs with her hands on her laps contemplating what to do.

Should I just tell Lian I have to leave, should I close my eyes? Jin-Jie placed a finger under her chin as she thought about it, but once the opening scene started playing Jin-Jie lost control.

“I’m sorry Syaoran, your friend is weak willed!” Jin-Jie whispered under her breath.

“Oh my! How did he know! He’s really smart!” Jin-Jie praised the protagonist to Lian. Lian peered over at Jin-Jie’s bubbly nature, and couldn't help but think of her as a cute child.

“Oh my! Again!” Jin-Jie shook Lian’s arm, completely forgetting she wanted revenge towards him. Lian made the shush motion in a gentle way.

“Oh sorries!” Jin-Jie contained her excitement for the moment, but Lian could see her silently moving her body in excitement. Lian gently smiled as they continued watching.

Once the credits started rolling Jin-Jie arose from her seat. “Oh my the saga is complete! What a way to end the trilogy!” Jin-Jie’s genuine happiness was infectious, as she set the mood for the entire theater.

“Wow President Yu’s girlfriend is really energetic.” A couple murmurs could be heard throughout the audience. Jin-Jie’s excitement fizzled a little when she looked around to see a ton of eyes and cameras on her. Jin-Jie sat back down with her head staring at her feet, and her face beet red.

As to break the stares Lian got up.

“Do you have time to get something to eat Ms.An?” Lian gestured a hand to her. Jin-Jie nodded her head. She wasn’t just going to turn down free food, and she still had plenty of time before she had to meet Syaoran. Jin-Jie grabbed his hand and almost pulled him down, but Lian adjusted himself. Making a contorted face as he regained his balance.

“Wow you sure are sturdy!” Jin-Jie was actually trying to pull him down. “Lets go!” Jin-Jie started pulling him out of the theater, this time not caring to much about the wandering eyes. Seeing Lian’s unexpected reaction filled Jin-Jie with triumph. The male Jin-Jie would never see this exposed Liang, so she was happy to tease him by being a bit wild!

“Lets eat here!” Jin-Jie pointed at ‘The Royal Steak House’. Jin-Jie had only eaten there once for his graduation from college, and had to spend modestly, because the prices were very high. But now that she had her own endless pit of money she was ready to pour in and eat to her hearts content.

She really is strange. Lian was again guided into the steak house. They both sat down in a nice secluded part of the restaurant.

“What would the nice couple like?” The waiter came by.

Normally a shiver would rock Jin-Jie’s spine a little at being called a couple with Lian, but she was to busy scanning the menu.

“Ill take a steak medium rare with mash.” Lian handed his menu in.

“And for you Miss?”

“Uhh Ill have the same, but I’ll also take the meat tower and sliders!Oh and also the meat graveyard!” Jin-Jie smiled as she tucked the menu underneath her arm, not ready to give it up yet. The waiter looked dazed but proceeded back to the kitchen. Lian proceeded to turn on his cell phone only to be barraged with ringing.

“Hello”

“Lian! I’ve been trying to contact you all morning!” Mei’s voice erupted from the phone.

“Sorry, I was at the premiere.”

“Oh, I did not know a movie was more important then me.” Mei’s grumpy tone, sank Lian’s mood as he was trying to calm her down.

“Anyways I’m still waiting on that recommendation you mentioned earlier! I better have it by the end of the day!” Mei hung up the phone.

….

Lian slumped a little, and sighed. Another rare sight spotted! Jin-Jie thought. As much as Jin-Jie initially relished the sight, she started to feel a little sorry for him.

“Hey, Lian is everything going all right?” Jin-Jie prodded.

“It’s fine, Mei’s still mad about what happened. She wants her recommendation now. I’m afraid If I do, she will have no reason to stay with me.” Lian sulked a little.

Was Lian really sad. The Lian that was always better and can get everything he wanted; losing nothing! Jin-Jie’s twisted smile was soon replaced by that of sympathy when she saw herself a little in Lian.

“Do you want help?” Jin-Jie purposed. Lian looked up from his hands.

“I’m a g-g-girl you know.” Jin-Jie stuttered out. “I can help you get Mei to fall for you.” Jin-Jie stated with confidence.

Help you get totally dumped! Jin-Jie thought that she would drive Lian deeper into sadness and then take the position that should be his!

Lian’s eyes seemed to plead, as Jin-Jie looked as if she was the only light in his eyes. Only if Lian knew the devious take over Jin-Jie was conjuring up.
