“So what does Mei want from me right now?” Lian asked desperately.
Of course she wants you to pay more attention to her. But you’ve been chased your who life so you wouldn't know that would you. Hehe. Jin-Jie chuckled a little.
“Give her a little space, shes just angry at you. Give her time to cool down.” Jin-Jie started getting impatient waiting for the food, and started eating the complimentary bread.
“For how long? And what should I do after?”
Jin-Jie’s smile was growing more used to this weak Lian.
“Take me out again and we can discuss!” Jin-Jie said as the buffet of food started pouring onto their table. A little frustrated Lian snapped at Jin-Jie. “You know Ms.An I can fire you, and blacklist you from the entire city you know.” Lian’s eyes were no longer meek, but sharp. This was more in line with the Yueng-Liang Jin-Jie knew. Ruthless to get anything he wanted.
Jin-Jie placed his rib down and wiped her mouth. “Is that so? Do you think you can replace me that easily?” Jin-Jie’s eyes turned as if she held all the pieces in her hand.
Advantage Mine! Jin-Jie smiled deviously.
“Who do you think hired you silly, of course I can.”
“Oh then I guess I’ll keep what Mei told me a secret.” Jin-Jie perked her lips.
“What secret?” Lian interest was peaked.
“Oh just what she doesn't like about you. We had a lot of time to talk while we were kidnapped” Jin-Jie bluffed. “You did take your time rescuing us.” Jin-Je added some salt.
“What is it?”
“Should I tell? I felt a bit threatened.” Jin-Jie teased. Lian’s face looked like pure rage was welling inside him, but he managed to calm himself down. “How much? For the information.” Lian’s eyes looked serious. Jin-Jie smiled again. She didn't need money she already received her fat stacks. Jin-Jie wanted leverage over Lian. Control. And thats exactly what she set out to get.
“I’ll help you out, but I don’t want money…” Jin-Jie continued to finish her food. Not having eaten a second bite Lian questioned. “What do you want then?” Jin-Jie obviously wanted Lian to go through some hardship and suffer, and she knew the best way to cause this was to always be with him. That way she could directly monitor him, and influence his decisions for the worst.
“Ha, just treat me like your bro from now on!” Jin-Jie smiled, barbecue sauce was smeared around her mouth.
Bro? Lian stared into Jin-Jie’s eyes trying to make sense of her proposition.
“You can always give me a raise to… money never hurts.” Jin-Jie started giggling as she wiped her mouth.
“So it’s money …” Lian eyes sighed a little.
“Yup gimme a dollar and tomorrow we can change some of the stuff Mei doesn't like about you!” Jin-Jie continued devouring some of the food on Lian’s plate.
“Why not now, after this.” Lian grabbed Jin-Jie’s stealing hand. A rush of adrenaline flew to Jin-Jie’s face at the sudden contact.
“Uhh I have a prior engagement I need to attend to!” Jin-Jie said. Continuously breaking eye contact Jin-Jie could tell Lian did not like her answer very much.
“Hey I have things going on as well!” Jin-Jie pulled her hand back. “But I promise first thing tomorrow!” Jin-Jie started to sweat under Lian’s gaze.
“Very well.” Lian agreed as he started eating what was left on his plate. Jin-Jie was surprised by how well it went, and was happy that she would be able to be around him more. More openings to influence his perfect character! Jin-Jie sat comfortably in her seat.
The meal ended without anything further. Jin-Jie agreed to spend the next day helping Lian, and they both went there separate ways. Jin-Jie felt a surge of energy rush through her. She was really excited at how well things went, and was aiming to burn off this energy.
“2:00, I still have some time before I go with Syaoran. Ill hit the gym!” Jin-Jie marched back to the one he frequented a lot. Jin-Jie signed up with her new identity, and immediately started grinding on the treadmills.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
A sudden pain swelled in Jin-Jie’s stomach. A flash zoomed past Jin-Jie’s mind. I just ate a whole bunch of food! Jin-Jie’s weight shifted as she began falling off the tread mill. Jin-Jie instinctively reached for the railings of the treadmill, but her hands barley skimmed it.
Aww damn it! Jin-Jie closed her eyes and braced for the fall.
Eh! Jin-Jie felt a soft but firm cushion around her head and two supports holding her.
“Syaoran!” Jin-Jie opened her eyes in surprise. “I thought your more of a morning gym person.” Jin-Jie questioned, as she was nestled in his embrace. Not seeming to notice the situation Jin-Jie looked blankly for an answer. Syaoran on the other hand felt extremely embarrassed, but still wanted to hold her more.
His face is a bit red. Ah! I must be heavy! Jin-Jie pulled a little on Syaoran to regain her balance. Jin-Jie was now wearing a big grey sweatshirt with similar sweat pants.
“Sorry about that Syaoran, I’m a little klutz sometimes! Thanks!” Jin-Jie went to sit on a nearby bench to let her stomach digest.Syaoran sat down next to her offering his unopened water bottle.
“Thanks” Jin-Jie snatched it, and started chugging away. Jin-Jie handed the bottle back, Syaoran was reluctant to take it at first but ended up taking it.
“I think ill just take it easy.” Jin-Jie weakly smiled as she went to a bike machine and started pedaling slowly. Syaoran followed and sat next to her.
“Hey, isn't this to easy for you?” Jin-Jie jokingly smiled at Syaoran.
“Just making sure you don’t fall.” Syaoran said warmly. Jin-Jie felt the warmth, but misinterpreted it as an insult.
“You really think I’ll fall on this! Come on!” Jin-Jie started flipping through the channels on the screen. While Jin-Jie found a cooking channel to watch, Syaoran was having his own pleasure watching Jin-Jie enjoying herself. All the little quirks Jin-Jie would do were being carefully perceived into Syaoran’s memory. He spent so much time with her as a vegetable, he was very happy to record new memories of her. To the giggles to her pressing the slow down button, he loved it all.
“Hey I think I’m feeling better lets hit the weights.” Jin-Jie turned towards Syaoran, wiping some sweat off. Syaoran immediately turned away, afraid he was caught looking. When Syaoran looked back Jin-Jie was already walking away.
“Hey” Syaoran chased after her.
“Uhghhhhh” Jin-Jie attempted to lift a 70 pound weight. “I used to be able to do this easily, Jin-Jie free hand was going to help her struggling one, when Syaoran’s hand cupped over hers.
“Let me help.” Syaoran helped Jin-Jie put the weight away.
“Damn I’m still not as strong as I was before.” Jin-Jie lamented a little. “Uhh Syaoran can you let go?” Jin-Jie gave a weak smile to Syaoran.
“Ahh! Sorry Jie Jie.” Syaoran let go right away. And turned away. “I’m goona go that way.” Syaoran pointed awkwardly.
Where’s he going? Jin-Jie put her thumb to her lower lip. Jin-Jie didn't pay any mind to Syaoran’s embarrassment and continued with lighter weights. Some time went by, and Jin-Jie thought that she should probably start getting ready. Did Syaoran mention a time he wanted to go? Jin-Jie thought, as she went to go find him.
“Wow Syaoran sure got really strong.” Jin-Jie muttered as she examined Syaoran doing presses. My chest was pretty big as well… Jin-Jie stared down. Oh right. Jin-Jie sighed. Well its still big, in a different way. Jin-Jie gave a faint smile.
“Hey Syaoran.” Jin-Jie appeared over Syaoran. From Syaoran’s view point her hair was a little messy and was let down. Her face had some sweat on it, and she now had on a tank top. The light from the gym perfectly cradled her face, as she looked down on him. Syaoran, captivated by Jin-Jie’s appearance he thought it was a dream.
“Hey watch it!” Jin-Jie immediately started holding the heavy weight. “Your stupid for having no one spot you!”
Hearing this, Syaoran snapped back and placed the weight on its safety hinge.
This is bad. Syaoran placed a hand on his face. Shes cute even when shes not trying to be. Not that she ever tried to be cute.
“Hey so when are we going?”
“We can go now, if your feeling hungry.”
Jin-Jie wasn't feeling to hungry but was never going to turn down food, even if she could only eat a little. “Sure lets head back and get ready.” Jin-Jie smiled and waited for Syaoran to get up.
“Oh Jie-Jie, look.” Syaoran held out the tickets for Ramen Catcher. The tickets had a golden tint to them.
“Looks fancy whys that?” Jin-Jie questioned.
A little disappointed by Jin-Jies lack of excitement Syaoran answered. “These tickets are from the new theater. It’s smaller then normals theaters but said to hold the most immerse experience.”
“Oh yay!” Jin-Jie did like Ramen Catcher 3 but it was hard getting her hype up to what it was this morning.
Syaoran’s heart started beating as he left out that this was a private theater. It would just be him and Jin-Jie alone.
