"Ugggggghh" I groaned.
My whole body felt like it went through a washing machine. I was very sore all over. I opened my eyes and looked around me. I was on some kind of cot in a small quant room.
"Oh, look who's awake."
Across the room was a women in some old timey nurse outfit and she was headed towards me when she talked.
"What happened?" I asked.
"You were absolutely destroyed, that what happened."
"So I failed then."
"The opposite actually."
"Huh, how? I lost the fight." I was completely confused.
"That is true but the point is not to win but to prove you're competent."
"Really?"
""Well, I believe I should apologize for what have happened. Derek can be a little too intense."
"A little?" Looking at here wis suspicion.
Trying to not meet my eyes, "He does not really hold back in any fight, including with newbies." She says as she swept her arm around her pointing out the others in similar situations as me. "He says he wants to pull out the best out the individual through putting themselves to their limits. Those who failed to would fail the test but those who put up a good fight, like you, succeed."
"Thank goodness, I don't think I would ever be able to beat him in a fight. Can I have some water please?"
"Sure." Turning around and walked to the counter behind her, "Plus as a caster, you would never be expected to be in direct combat like that but" after pouring the water from the jug into a cup, turned around one last time and came closer. "you performed quite well for someone who was never in actual fight before and he even suggested you may be a rank higher in combat skills than the one you are entering."
Once she got close enough, she was startled in surprise as the water poured out of the cup into the air as it traveled to my open hand. I brought it down onto my shoulder not caring that it is soaking my clothes as the cooling sensation across my skin as the water glowed a soft azure light as the qi soothed my aching muscles.
"And that healing [skill] of yours was a point in your favor as the ability to heal others are rare, not because it is difficult but because very few pursue it." She says as placing her own hand on the patient's arm behind her back and it glowed with a pinkish light. "Not many people truly realize how useful it is until they need it."

As my body slowly began feeling like normal again I asked, "So is there anything else I have to do to join the guild or is that it?"
"That's it, don't worry about the paperwork. You filled out everything you needed beforehand and it was processed when you were unconscious." Once finished, she picked up something on the table next to my head and handed it to me.
I was a card, not just any card but an [adventurer's] card. My [adventurer's] card. It had my name, my current rank, Rank G, where I'm from, here, my main [class], [waterbender], and a small black and white caricature of my face.
When did they did the last one?
Never mind, I'm an [Adventurer]! Woohoo!
Earnt Title:
[Rank G Adventurer]
Profession Class [Adventurer] Achieved
Accept? Y/N
Again, of course!
Profession Class [Adventurer] Accepted
Integrating Class...
Gained [Adventurer] Starter Skill:
[Quest Log]
Unlocked [Adventurer] Stat:
[Endurance: 5]
"I got the [class]!"
"Congratulations." She replied, "Better than this guy." She says as pointing over her shoulder to the person two cots over. "I suggest you leave before he wakes, no one reacts well when someone is celebrating their success when they failed."
I hoped off the bed and started to collect my stuff while thinking about these new notifications.
[Endurance] is just like [Perseverance] but [Quest Log] is interesting. It notes down all the [quests] I gain allowing for me to see them anytime I want but it also expands the number of them I can have at one time and allows me to gain [quests] much more easier.
Lets try out this [skill], my first [quest] as an [adventurer] here I come!
----------------------------------------
When I entered the main room of the building where all the other [adventurers] congregate, what you picture when you think of the inside of an [adventurer's] guild with a bunch of tables for people to drink and meet up to party with a counter in the back with a couple [clerks] to assist with accepting [quests], answering questions, and buying monster parts, it was less busy as it was when I first entered. That makes sense, it is later in the day so most are probably off doing their jobs or something.
I walked straight to the [quest] board and I can tell from a distance that most of them have been picked through. The ones I could accept as a G rank was the worst as there were very few to pick from.
The first one that I saw was not very appealing.
G Rank [Quest]:
[Assist Latrine Clean Up]
Requirement(s): The Waste Management Services are always looking for help in removing and transporting waste from the public bathrooms throughout the city.
Reward(s): 10 copper and 1 ticket for local bathhouse
*As a Permanent Quest do not remove this from board*
Yeah no, that seems disgusting. There has to something better.
And there was none that was better.
