Chapter 36 - Level-Three Giant - Attack and Battle

Archvel smiles and claps his hands.

"Yeah, it looks like the undead."

"Its power levels should be around a Sentinel Skeleton."

"This means that every undead I create from Level 2 Magical Creatures is equal to one of my own summoned Sentinel Skeletons. But in a sense more powerful because the type of the undead will affect its natural abilities and versatility."

“Huge Crow Undead can fly despite its human shape, and if it wants to, it can go back to its form of Crow.”

“Beast Crocodile can run and swim at fast speed and transform to humanoid form or its natural form.”

“Shadow Cat Undead faster than all others and has stealth capabilities as well as a magical ability called Shadow Strike.”

“It is bad that it has lost three of its abilities after becoming an undead, but I can't complain about it.”

"Considering right now that I am able to summon six sentinel skeletons in addition to this Undead Shadow Cat and more than one hundred ordinary skeletons, I have a great army."

Archvel wiped away the sweat on his forehead and then picked up a pen and paper as he started writing.

"Current Army."

"100 Skeleton Servants"

"Six Skeleton Sentinels (Summoning Magic)"

"Two Level 1 Undead.”

"One Level 2 Undead."

Archvel ordered some food for himself to be prepared while he started thinking.

"Undeads and skeletons are different; in most cases, skeletons are easier to create and simple to command. Which also makes them simple-minded and not the best helpers when it comes to complex tasks."

“Undeads, on the other hand, are different. They are able to talk to some degree, understand complex commands, and have more power. I can say that a sentinel skeleton or level 2 undead has the same kind of intelligence as a ten-year-old human. A level one undead created by a level one magical creature has the intelligence of a five-year-old human child."

Archvel let out a deep breath and started eating the prepared meat.

As he is eating, he is starting to think that he must hunt more creatures to create more. He also had plans to increase his own personal power via magical spells.

"In the end, if something unexpected happens, which would happen in the majority of cases considering I am in a magical world, everything is unexpected."

"I don't want to lose my summons and die without power.”

In the heart of the dense forest, a colossal and awe-inspiring creature emerged from the shadows. Towering at an impressive seven meters in height, the giant-type monster commanded attention and spread fear.

The creature's most striking feature was its four eyes, each of them gleaming with an otherworldly intensity. Positioned strategically around its head, the eyes allowed the monster to survey its surroundings with a powerful awareness, as if it possessed a heightened perception of its environment.

The sheer power and presence of the creature left no doubt that it was the undisputed ruler of this domain.

"I smell a human."

The giant monster thought as he looked to the left.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

"It comes from the old temple."

"I should go."

As the giant thought, he started moving in the direction of the Dark Archive.

-

Archvel, who was asleep, woke up in great terror and then heard from his sentinels within his mind.

"A monster approaches; danger approaches."

"What danger!"

Archvel exclaimed and started to move.

All of the hundred skeletons had followed behind him as he got out of the Dark Archive Temple and saw the huge creature.

"A giant!"

"A giant, his level..."

"This creature is higher level than level two; it is certain!"

At the same time, the four-eyed giant looked Archvel deep in the eye and started talking.

"You humans live here without asking for permission..."

Archvel gulped and smiled.

"Yeah, he is not an ordinary monster; that is certain."

-

Archvel took a good look at the giant, took a deep breath, and started planning.

"A level three magical creature, probably possessing a high amount of physical power, endurance, and defensive capabilities.”

At that time, the giant did not speak but started moving towards him and his creatures.

It was not walking but running.

"It is aggressive then."

Archvel did not hesitate and commanded

"All summons, get ready for a battle."

With his command, Six Sentinels and Three undead, as well as one hundred skeletons, showed up.

"Dark Magic..."

Giant uttered some words that were clearly audible to Archvel himself.

Which is not something that he was expecting to hear at all.

"He knows about magic and mages. Level Three Magical Creatures are something else."

Archvel then commanded

"One hundred skeletons in the army, stay at your back and use materials around you for a weapon, throw spears, or anything."

Of course, there were no spears for the time being, as Archvel did not have time to make weapons and tools.

By spears, he meant sharp branches and other things.

He knows that the skeletons he has created would be just cannon fodder for this giant creature and would do next to no damage to a level three magical creature.

Because of that, using objects and other tools and weapons has more meaning.

Archvel never forgets that these things always have some sort of basic understanding behind them, and it may not be the best idea, but he is here to learn and experience, and there is no need for him to take a backseat to any kind of opportunity.

As Skeletons moved in unison. The giant did not stand idle. It moved faster.

At this point, the Sentinels started to move to intercept the creature on its tracks.

Three undead creatures started moving just behind the sentinels. The Crow Undead was flying and had more speed compared to the others.

Archvel also made note of this.

"It just shows that I need more versatility."

The giant and the first sentinel made the first contact.

The giant punched the sentinel, and the first one went shooting like a cannonball towards the backside.

Some of its bones were broken, but it was not destroyed.

"It is good to know that my sentinels are not weak."

“They can tank a full-powered punch from a level three giant-type creature...”

Archvel gave the utmost importance to his sentinel skeletons because they were not just created skeletons but his own creations.

Which means that as long as he has enough magical energy, even if one of them dies, he can summon another one.

Sentinels, being strong, have direct influence and power of their own personal power.

Other sentinels spread out and started attacking from all sides.

One of them punched the creature on the left side, causing it to kneel.

"Ahhh."

The giant roared, and the punch and attack from the sentinel broke down some bones in his leg.

"The attacking power of the sentinels has increased too; considering their size is two meters and they are fueled by magical power directly, it is normal to expect something like this."

At the same time as Archvel was thinking. One of the sentinels jumped and tried to kick the head of the giant, but it was blocked by his left hand, and the giant counterattacked with his right punch.

Sending the attacking sentinel flying.

Archvel just smiled as he watched.

"As long as the numbers are right and the strategy is good, there should be no problem taking care of any kind of enemy. Of course, if they are the normal kind of enemy that I can fight,"
