Chapter 31 - Dimensional Rift Discovery

Chapter 31 - Dimensional Rift Discovery

The next morning, Jareth called Ezekiel to his room to talk to him about the event.

Jareth, as a teacher and experienced mage, knew that compared to other students. Ezekiel had more potential and was more intelligent.

He wanted to know his observation of Archvel.

His curiosity was piqued as he sought to gather more information about Archvel's current state and power.

He leaned forward, his eyes fixed on Ezekiel, as he posed his questions.

"How powerful was Archvel?.And how many skeletons did you encounter?"

Ezekiel took a moment to gather his thoughts, recalling the presence of Archvel and his formidable skeletal army.

"Master Archvel possesses a great deal of power from what I can feel, Teacher Jareth.”

“He commanded an army of at least fifty skeletons, all of them strong and obedient. It was a sight to behold."

"But the skeletons around them, which were also able to speak, were much more powerful."

Jareth's eyes widened slightly,

“Those talking skeletons must be the ones he summoned. I saw them while we fought against the mages from Death Tree...”

"As those summoned skeletons must come from his natural magical power instead of being created from bones."

"Because they have pure magic, power, and intelligence behind them at another level compared to other skeletons created using materials."

He had known Archvel to be proficient in the dark magic despite not being that experienced, but the scale of his skeletal army was truly impressive.

"And what of Archvel himself?.How did he carry himself? Did he exhibit any signs of strength or abilities?"

Ezekiel took a moment and simply answered

"He was a confident teacher; that is all I can tell..."

Ezekiel then added.

"I am not sure I have any more knowledge; I think I don't have enough experience and knowledge to understand his power directly."

Jareth nodded, his expression thoughtful.

He had expected Archvel to have grown in power and skill during the past month, but the absence of any significant new abilities intrigued him.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

It hinted at Archvel's focus on perfecting his existing arsenal rather than seeking new spells and research direction.

"Good observation, Ezekiel,”

Ezekiel nodded, appreciating the opportunity to contribute and answer questions of his teacher.

With their conversation coming to a close, Jareth understood a simple fact.

“Having a good relationship with him is valuable. History always repeats itself; if only in the past, dark mages had a good relationship with Krimnok."

Jareth thought as he remembered something, his eyes looking out from the window...

-

After about three hours later, a document landed on the table of Jareth.

Jareth's heart quickened as he delved into the contents of the blue envelope.

His eyes scanned the document, absorbing the words that described the discovery of a Dimensional Rift. The mere mention of such a phenomenon stirred a deep desire for discovery and power.

"This is fucking important!"

As he read, his mind began to envision the possibilities that lay within the rift.

"Who knows what is hidden in this new dimensional rift!"

The document detailed how the rift had been located in a remote region of the continent, its exact location carefully noted.

"If we know about this other bigger and maybe medium-level organizations too know about this."

"I believe there will be a council of Dark Mages to decide on what organizations want to join the expedition."

Jareth's eyes lingered on the description,

He read from other discovery reports that the lands of rifts can be and were reported to be where the laws of magic and reality could be vastly different from their own reality.

As he closed the envelope and placed it aside, Jareth found his thoughts consumed by the desire to explore the unknown.

The Dimensional Rift presented an opportunity for both personal growth and the acquisition of valuable resources that could benefit the Tower of Black Sun.

"But, it is really dangerous and hard to explore a Rift. I knew and remembered that about twenty years ago, more than five thousand mages had been lost or dead in the Dimensional Rift—Ember; it was not the best journey."

"Of course, one has to know that even in such cases, things have been good for some."

"Nightmare Ember, a high-level organization, picked up a Fire God Stone from that dimension, and because of that artifact of mystery, they were able to join the top ten most powerful dark magic organizations."

As Jareth pondered his next course of action, he realized that embarking on a journey into a Dimensional Rift would be significant.

“Yeah, this would require assembling a team of skilled mages.”

"I wonder what Archvel would think about this."

Jareth knew what he wanted deep down.

He wanted to seize this opportunity, harnessing the power and knowledge in the Dimensional Rift.

"I guess I can tell Layla and others via telepathic fire to tell them about this and see what he wants to do about it."

"If he wants to join, it would be the best result...""I feel like I am back to my first magic learning yeyears;t was such an excitement and fun at those times, before it all went too complex and hard to understand as well as progress."

For mages like JaJareth,ho do not have asthe assistancef a powerful soul like Archvel as well as help offromhe system, improving and leveling up is a hard and slow process to do. It takes too much time and hahard worko just to reach the level of Archvel in just five to seven years.
