Dormitory

Turns out that is was the sound of lightning that was coming from Isaac’s body at the moment, but it was so faint that if they had been any normal person they wouldn’t have even heard it.

“I knew it” Samson said proudly.

“Isaac you will see a total of nine stars in your sea of consciousness at the moment, the color you see determine the element that you’ve awakened, from the sound earlier it seems like you’ve awakened the lightning element, so the stars should be of purple color, now you can open your eyes, you need to practice before you can do anything further” the principal said in a mild tone.

No matter how long he spoke, Isaac refused to open his eyes and it was not because he couldn’t hear him, but rather the novelty he was witnessing at this moment was so enchanting that he couldn’t move his eyes away from them.

If others could see what he was seeing they would also be stunned speechless.

At this moment, what he was seeing was the different clusters of stars.

When he counted each of them, he saw that there was a total of nine stars in each group, but what the novelty is was not the brightness of the stars nor how they were each bunched up together, but rather there was nine different groups of stars.

He saw, Green, Red, Brown, Gold, Blue, Gray, Purple, White, Black.

Each in their own group and they looked tightly knitted together and inseparable.

“What do you think happened that he hasn’t woken up yet?” Samson asked while rubbing his stubble of a beard.

“is he marveling on how gorgeous the stars look that he refused to wake up?” an instructor said from the side.

“Do you think, he doesn’t know how to get out from his sea of consciousness?” Another instructor chimed in.

“I guess we can wake him up from the outside” the principal could only sigh again, the probability of this kid ever making it out of this school on his own was getting lower and lower with each passing second.

They could only hope for the best.

Just before the principal’s hand could touch him, Isaac opened his eyes and took a deep breath, he seemed like he had just come out of the water for a breath of fresh air.

“Thanks principal” Isaac said with a smile plastered on his face.

He was really grateful.

“Hey why are you thanking him and not me? I was the one that helped you here” Samson said clearly displeased.

“Isaac, don’t pay attention to him, I heard that before being sent to the camp you were from Moonhaven, is that true?” the principal asked with a smile.

Isaac looked down casted but he still nodded his head.

“Put all those worries at the back of your mind and focus on your studies, worrying will not help you with anything, but rather slow down your progress and stop you from doing your best”

“As you are now, you still can’t do anything even if you go back to Moonhaven, but if you train and become stronger, chances are that you will be able to stop an invasion like that from happening again”

“Don’t forget chances comes to those who are prepared for them”

“I know what is on your mind, in order to achieve your goals you need strength and allies, don’t forget what happened that day, but rather turn it into your drive to reach for the skies”

“The sky is your limit, what you set your mind to achieve is what you will achieve, you can do it, I believe in you”

Isaac clenched his fist tightly.

“Now head back to the assembly and don’t forget to make friends who you will grow stronger together, who would be willing to stick with you through thick and thin, do you understand me?” the principal said in a rarely seen stern voice.

Isaac nodded his head with his eyes red.

It was just as the principal has said, that bad memory should turn into a drive for him to want to be strong.

He immediately made his way back, now that he knows the asset he has, the probability of him marching back into Moonhaven to look for his parents has increased multifold.

“Don’t give him unnecessary hope” Samson said from the side.

“What do you know, it is not potential that determines how further in life someone goes, but rather the drive to keep on grinding with the odds stark against you” the principal sighed again.

“He has only one way forward now and that is to keep pushing forward, he already has a cause to get stronger for, it will depend on his will to make it happen” the principal smiled slightly.

Isaac walked back to where the other students were and stood.

Unlike before he knew where to stand, he was no longer the lost chicken that he was before.

He went to the row with the least number of kids in it and stood.

When he stood at the back of the line, the kid ahead of him was surprisingly Sam.

He turned and looked at Isaac then he sneered and turned back.

At this moment the teacher was already rounding up the introductions that they were making.

Since he just came back, he didn’t know what was discussed earlier and from the looks of it Sam would offer him no information.

Soon they were asked to disperse.

Isaac saw where the rest of the kids with the lightning element were heading, so he just followed them.

Turns out they were just heading to look at which dorm they are to stay in was.

The school had exciting arrangements for boarding.

Unlike how they will only share the same class with students with the same element as them.

The housing was mixed.

In each dorm, there will be one person from each element, making the dorm house a total of nine people.

Since not all elements have the same number of students, there might be less than nine student in a dorm but it will never be above it.

Isaac soon found which dorm he was supposed to be in.

He made his way to the dorm since he didn’t have any friends that he knew of.

As soon as he arrived at the dorm, he saw that the door was closed when he opened the door and there was no one inside, so he made his way into the room.

He looked at the room from the door, he saw it was very expensive, it was much bigger than the room they shared in the camp for the displaced.

There was a total of five separate beds in the room, four bunk beds and then a single one.

They were arranged in a U shape, with the single bed set at the rear wall all alone, whole the bunk beds were arranged on either side of the walls.

The beds were in a U shape in the room.

Since he knew the dynamics of how people think, he was sure that there would be some tug of war for that single bed, so he went to bunk bed on the right side of the room.

He then climbed to the top of it and sat down.

As soon as he sat down, he heard the door open, then he saw three kids come inside.

“Good thing you know not to head for the single bed” said a short kid with muscles as soon as he walked in.
