Isaac and Sam simultaneously turned around and saw a beautiful woman walking towards them in a blue gown that reached below her knees, she wore black hills that had a strap on.
Her face was without makeup but she wore black lipstick which instead of making her look like a goth girl made her appear mature.
They were both transfixed on her face, what they were thinking no one had any idea, they were so captivated that they didn’t see that her face had turned gloomy.
“What are you doing outside the classroom?” She asked in a stern tone.
This sentence brought the kids back from their trance, they looked at each other awkwardly and coughed lightly.
“I was just talking about how terrible it was that I made Isaac here come late to class, could you believe it? He couldn’t even eat breakfast because he was trying to wake me up” Sam said with a look of regret on his face, he even had tears in his eyes.
“Isaac you should have forgotten about me and gone for breakfast before heading to class, Why Isaac? Why do you have to be a good person that cares about people that you just met yesterday, you should have been like the rest and left me to myself” Sam continued with his tirade.
He was shaking his head looking forlorn.
“Now look what you’ve caused for yourself, not only did you not get to eat but you also lost the chance to go to class, now people would think that you are a bad student while you were just trying to be a good dorm mate” Sam was going all out at the moment, he was even hitting the walls with his fist looking like he had done a grave sin that even death wouldn’t be able to wash away.
“It should’ve been only me that suffered the consequences of my actions, not Isaac, he is a good student” Sam was on his knees hitting the floor with his hand, he was making a huge scene, so much so that the door to the classroom was opened by the teacher to see who was making so much noise and disturbing his class.
Isaac was to the side looking on with sadness and disbelief, he was sad for not being allowed into the class and he was in shock because had he not been with Sam throughout the time and just arrived he would have sworn that the kid was really regretting everything.
But when he thought of how he was cursing up and down for not being allowed to eat and how he wanted to curse at the teacher, he came to the conclusion that this kid was just putting on an act.
The woman was already feeling sorry for Sam, yes Sam and not Isaac, for someone to regret making you miss meal and class to this extent, it could only mean that he was really riddled with guilt and he wished he hadn’t made him late by not waking up on time.
The teacher who had just come out of the class room was ready to erupt at whosoever was making the noise.
When he turned and saw Sam on the floor, he was ready to let all hell loose on the kid, he was going to teach him a lesson he would never forget.
He understood what was going on, since he didn’t allow them into the class they decided to not let him teach in peace.
He had just opened his mouth to yell at them when he suddenly felt a pair of eyes on him.
He turned around and as soon as he saw the woman in blue he put on a wide smile on his face.
“Miss Valerie what brings you here this early, I don’t think it is time for your class yet” the teacher said in a soothing and calm tone.
“I was just passing when I saw this two students standing outside, so I came to ask them as to why that was” Valerie said in a melodious tone.
“They were late for class, that was why I asked them to stay outside” the teacher said.
“Mr. Simon, since this is their first offense, could you please let them enter the class, you know getting the basics are very important in order to have a strong foundation” Valerie implored.
“Well they can come, but as long as they do not come late to class again” Mr. Simon said after a few seconds of consideration.
“What do you say?” Valerie posed this question to Sam and Isaac.
“We agree to your request teacher, we would be here before you arrive, we will get here as soon as we finish with our breakfast” Sam started promising things as soon as he heard that they would be allowed into class.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
He had already jumped up to his feet, his image of looking apologetic has long since faded away.
Valerie could already tell that this kid was acting at this moment, but she didn’t point it out because it would make her look gullible, but she was already thinking of dealing with these two stinking scheming brats.
What made her even more mad was the fact that the other kid who had garnered the attention of the principal was standing to the side looking like he did not expect any of this, he looked sad and surprised throughout the whole show that the other one put, which made the scene more believable was now smiling and nodding his head.
She then bid goodbye to Simon and continued on her way.
She then heard the cheerful voice of the kid that stood to the side saying “Thank you Miss”
The actor also jumped in and said “Yes thank you miss, we would never forget the benevolence you’ve shown us today, we will repay you back in the future” Sam said while waving his hand at her.
Valerie almost stumbled when she heard what he said, she then bit her lip and continued walking away, pay back? Of course they had to pay back for taking advantage of her kindness.
As soon as they got into the class, they were awed by what they saw.
It wasn’t a class but rather an auditorium, there were thousands of kids in the class who were seated in their seats at the moment.
They both made their way to very back and sat down.
On the way there Sam was looking on in reverie left and right, he looked like he was going to wave at the audience at some point, while Isaac who was not used to being the center of attention had his head down and was only following behind Sam who was walking proudly.
All the people that Isaac knew from his former roommates to his current dorm mates were shaking their head.
Leo and his group were happy they were not associated with them and so were Charlie and his group who were seating close to Leo.
Sam his former roommate felt even more disdain towards him, he not only got the principal attention but he was here getting into troubles on his first day while not having any potential, when he should be hiding in between the cracks of those who had potential.
“Lets continue, as I have said earlier this class is introduction to magic and I will be taking the class, my name is Mr. Simon Douglas”
“What is magic ? How did humans come about being able to practice magic? What are the implications of magic and it uses in our day to day live?”
“Humans have always lived in the world as rulers of the society and were at the top of the food chain, but then something unexpected happen and the animals that we have domesticated all of a sudden turned on us and started attacking us, and they killed a large number of people in the cities”
“The leaders of humans at that time came to a unanimous decision to kick out all the animals from human habitat and to create a safe zone were humans could be safe and sound and protected”
“But then there came another issue, the animals were way stronger than your average human being and our conventional weapons could inflict no harm to the animals, so there a need for some change in the ability of human if not all of mankind would eventually turned into food for the animals”
“Our forefathers did not let us down and they eventually found a way in order to use the forces of nature to enhance their bodies, but that still wasn’t enough”
“With trial and error and a lot of sacrifices we now reached a time when human could awaken different elements that could help us fight back the animals that want to treat us as foods”
Isaac hit Sam on the head who had put his head on the table , he looked like he was going to fall asleep at any second.
“Ouch! Why did you hit me?” Sam asked in total confusion, he hadn’t done anything wrong.
“Don’t get us in trouble, this is the first class and this is very important, so sit down and listen” Isaac said in a hushed tone.
“There is no need for me to listen, these are all lies!” Sam said in a firm tone.
“So what is the truth of the matter if what the teacher is saying are lies?” Isaac asked in a mocking tone, he wanted to humor Sam a little
How could he say that what they were being taught were lies?
“Before the dawn of humanity, Humans were under the rule of monsters and were considered as slaves to them, every group or clan as they are called aligned themselves with a strong force from the monster race or other strong races and took protection from them while being their workers, as you know humans could build sophisticated things because of their dexterity, for humans that could perform alchemy or build armor or things like that they were highly sought after in the other races but those who can’t they were considered worse than slaves”
“No one would want to see their race being looked down upon”
“So the geniuses within your forefathers decided that they no longer wanted to be considered as low level animals and be at the bottom of the food chain and be treated as slaves, so they started researching ways that they could enhance themselves and get strong, but the issue with that was that the human body was considered weak amongst most creatures, so they were met with a huge barrier on how to increase their strength”
“Then there was once in a lifetime genius that was born around that time that was called Kefa Huyan that thought of ways to borrow the forces of nature in order to help him better himself and he did do it, but not without obstacles and the rest they say is history” Sam said as if he was there.
Isaac surprisingly did not think he was lying when he thought about it.
There was just one issue bugging his mind right now, why wouldn’t they say the truth to the rest of the people?
“I know what you are thinking, why wouldn’t they just tell the people the truth right? The issue with that is that there are some with twisted mind that would want to go back to that era since they enjoyed from it and got benefit”
Isaac highly doubted that anyone would want to go back to being a slave just because they got some benefits from it.
“Is there anything you would like to share with the rest of the class?” Mr. Simon asked in a not so friendly tone
