The whole class turned to look at him.
He didn’t know where he was at the moment, he kept on looking around him over and over again.
Sam reached out his hand to touch him and he jumped up from his seated and he nearly fell down.
He was looking at everyone warily.
He didn’t move closer to anyone because he believed he would get attacked by them.
When Ms. Valerie saw this, she frowned and immediately raised her hand a white light came out of her hand, it then headed towards Isaac at the speed of light.
Isaac wanted to move out of the way but he couldn’t because the light was too fast.
It landed squarely on his forehead and he calmed down considerably.
She then climbed the stairs quickly and landed close to him, the white light intensity increased and it kept on coming from her hand and onto his body.
Soon he started hyperventilating, all the kids close to them have moved back.
By now Ms. Valerie has hit him with that white light more than ten times.
He finally calmed down, his shirt that had dried up before was now looking worse, even his pants had been drenched in cold sweat.
She then placed her hand on his forehead and closed her eyes, a white light covered the both of them in it.
At this moment all the students had gathered in cliques and were discussing what was wrong with him.
It took more than 30 minutes before the white veil that covered them was lifted.
Ms. Valerie had cold sweat on her forehead at the moment.
She had never experienced something like this.
Isaac came out looking as cool as a cucumber.
His nervousness from before of being the center of attention was all gone.
The look in his eyes were akin to those of a superior being looking at ants that he could annihilate if he so wished.
Sam who was closest to them rushed to Isaac looking worried.
“Are you okay Isaac?” Sam asked worriedly.
Isaac looked at him from head to toe as if trying to remember who he was.
At this moment Samson walked into the classroom, seeing the not so usual situation, he focused his attention to the center of attention.
He saw Isaac holding Ms. Valerie at the waist, with her looking weak.
His face immediately clouded over.
He rushed towards the place as fast as he could.
Before he arrived, he heard whooshing sounds from behind him, before he could turn around he saw the principal flash by him and land in front of Isaac and Ms. Valerie.
“Isaac, Isaac, Isaac!!” the principal shout increased with each call.
Soon there was a deafening shout of his name and clarity seemed to return to Isaac’s eye for the first time.
He looked around and saw that all eyes were on him, his shy side immediately returned.
It was then that he felt the weight in his hand, he then saw the pretty face of Ms. Valerie very close to his.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
And in panic he almost let her fall to the ground.
“Huh? W-what is going on?” he could only stammer the words.
Isaac who almost let go of Ms. Valerie held her tightly.
“Isaac do you want to suffocate her?” Samson asked in an angry tone.
“I’m alright, let me go” Ms. Valerie said while looking pale.
The principal waved his hand and a green light was focused on Ms. Valerie.
Soon she was able to stand on her own.
“What is going on here, what happened?” the principal asked a barrage of questions at the same time.
Soon the auditorium was filled to the brim with teachers and seniors.
“Let’s talk somewhere private” Ms. Valerie said.
The crowd made way for them to pass.
“Isaac you come too” the principal said before walking out.
He could clearly see that whatever was going on had to do with the kid.
The crowd soon dispersed and the class erupted with noises.
Different speculations were being made by each clique.
Sam was to the side with his hand on his chin seemingly in deep thoughts.
At the principal office Isaac was waiting in the reception while the principal and Ms. Valerie were in his office.
Isaac didn’t dare to think back to what had happened earlier, he was scared he would fall unconscious again.
Samson and the other teachers were at the reception also, they had no idea what was going on so they could only wait for the principal and Valerie to finish their discussion.
“What happened?” Rowan asked since they were finally alone.
“Even I don’t know what happened, I was teaching the students how to get their stars under their control and I needed some volunteers and he was one of them”
“So I started guiding them and when I reached his turned and I told him what to do, he didn’t even last up to a minute before he had to stop because he was out of energy and he was shaking and almost fell down to the ground even though he was seating on the floor”
“When he stood up he almost fell down even after he had regained some energy, thankfully Sam his friend caught him in time, he went back to his seat and then he fell asleep”
“But not long after he woke up with a roar, that was what attracted your attention and the rest of the teachers”
“I immediately knew that he was under some sort of dark magic and I started applying cleanse on him, but the weird part was that I had to cast purify more than twenty times before he finally calmed down” Valerie said with some trepidation.
“Did you just say twenty times?” Rowan asked in disbelief.
Valerie nodded slowly, she was scared just thinking about it.
“If you had to apply Purify more than twenty times, it means this is no ordinary dark magic but rather a full all out curse, how did he even survive it?”
“This I don’t know, we have to ask him in order to know”
“Isaac come inside” Isaac who was seating under the watchful eyes of the teachers heard the principal’s voice in his ears.
So he stood up and started walking to the office, he knocked on the door and when asked to enter walked in silently.
“Take a seat Isaac, do you know what happened to you?” Rowan asked after Isaac had sat down.
Isaac shook his head.
“Have you come into contact with anyone suspicious before arriving here?”
Isaac shook his head again, he had always been in the displaced camp for the past six months, so which suspicious person’s could he meet there.
The principal then asked him about the day their city was attacked, who he interacted with.
He told them the truth to the best of his ability.
Before the fight had even started he was already taken away.
When he thought back to the necklace his mother had given him, he knew where the problem was.
But he didn’t know whether he could trust them enough, so he was hesitant to open up to them.
When he principal saw the hesitation on his face, he knew that he had remembered something and was torn between telling them and keeping the secret to himself.
So he sighed and said “Isaac should I tell what would have happened if Miss Valerie was not the teacher in your class when you suffered this attack?”
Isaac was torn being yes and no, he knew that it all depended on his answer whether they continued to help him or not.
After he thought of the pros and cons of it all he decided to nod his head, only the living get to enjoy wealth.
“Just so you know, she is the only one who has high enough level in the light element to help you, and you saw how drained she was after that didn’t you?”
“Do you know which level she is at?”
Isaac shook his head again.
“Well for you to understand, the ones with the best potential in your class would need at least ten years to reach the level she is currently at”
Isaac was shocked, she was that much of a genius, she was only in her early twenties.
“So do you understand what I am talking about now?”
Isaac nodded, he looked at Ms. Valerie with gratitude in his eyes, his hesitation has already disappeared.
“If you were to get another attack at this moment with her energy not being recovered, you can only just die, no one can save you, the highest we could do is to keep your body in your vegetative state your soul would shatter into a million pieces then even the best mages in the world wouldn’t be able to save you, well at least those who we could get in contact with”
“So do yourself and us a favor and tell us what you know” Rowan said in a calm and soothing tone.
Isaac immediately started to unbutton his shirt, the necklace his mother gave him was still there, he put his hand on the necklace and wanted to take it off.
“Oh shit!!!” Rowan who was looking closely at Isaac immediately cursed out loudly.
He then stood up hurriedly from his chair and walked up to Isaac.
Ms. Valerie who had turned her head to the side when Isaac removed his shirt immediately looked over and her face immediately turned as pale as a sheet of paper.
