As I flew on, two more islands had passed by. One was a jungle, and the other was a snowy island. I reached my resting island, which looked quite odd. The underneath of the island was all normal, but the top was covered in a big glass dome. I flew inside from the top, and landed on the bottom floor. I looked around, and immediately regretted ever landing here.
A foul stench came from these glass cylinders with green liquid inside of them. I peered inside one of them, and almost cried out. It was one of Sorryns people, but their arms and legs were cut off. I took a quick glance at the others, and realized that each of the creatures in there was missing something that was crucial to them. I looked everywhere but there, and realized that each of the creatures in there was missing something that was crucial to them. I looked everywhere but there, and realized that the whole place was made of metal. There was a bit of wood, but only for furniture. The metal also had a peeling purple paint on it. There was three floors, and each had railings that went in a circle around the middle. The glass dome towered above the building. Then, I heard creaking on the second floor and heard a voice.
“Now where is my Goythlay bandit skin? I know I put it somewhere on this shelf!” A deep loud voice said.
I fell, making a large creak sound.
“Who was that?! If one of my test subjects escaped again…” The voice said running towards the stairs and down them. I quickly ducked in a dark corner right beside the staircase.
The creature came down, and I realized why the species were being tortured. Because snakes are evil. This snake in particular was evil. It was overgrown, loud, green, with yellow eyes. It wore a white coat, with a bunch of supplies in its hands. It had glasses on its nose.
“I am Murklash! The great scientist!” Murklash boomed.
Once they stepped out and started inspecting the containers, I dove into the stairwell, and ran up the stairs. I got to the third floor to find another staircase which I ran up as well. I got to the top and had an overview of almost the whole island. The building stretched for half of the island. The other half looked more like a farm, except I know Murklash was not breeding normal animals. There were also crops, I saw Forest Ginger among them. Forest Ginger is used to put anything to sleep, overdose, and you will never wake up. I heard Murklash come back up the stairs, to the second floor. I darted down the tall tower and began rummaging through Murklashes things in hopes of finding a weapon. The last weapon I had was the Goythlay bandit gun, but I threw that away because I had no intention of scaring creatures. After looking through several chests, I found a pair of swords.
They looked ancient. I found a book near them with the swords on the book cover. I started reading. These swords were called Illumina, Vengeance of the Immortal. They were crafted by the God of Craftmanship, Slavery and Weapons, Shozrasil. They worked day and night for a month to make them. They were crafted from Agatfur, Studsoberyl and Alarotite. Agatfur, giving it its durability, it is one of the strongest metals. Studsoberyl giving it its magic properties and Alarotite giving it a heavy weight that was incredible for striking. The handle of the sword was made from Xanthe fur, which was a rare type of werewolf. There was a gem in the middle called Celsartite. That supposedly made the sword shimmer when it found a worthy owner. It also transformed the sword into two rings, which already seems like enough. The gem did not think so, it also returns to your hands in its ring form when you lose them.

“Wow…” I said in total awe.
“Well, steal it and run!” Grandfather said.
“Right!” I said, and picked up the swords. The sword started to shimmer, and transformed into two rings. I put them on my fingers and started leaving. But just before I could leave Murklash came into the little room and started rummaging.
“Where is my Illumina?” Murklash asked no one in particular.
“Oh no…” I whispered.
“I need its tracking device.” Murklash said.
I darted out of the room before Murklash turned around. I quickly started going through each room, quietly and avoiding Murklash. With each device I found, I broke it. After a few hours of doing so, Murklash screamed.
“Everything. Is. BROKEN!!” Murklash screamed.
“Perfect! Now they can not track you,” Grandfather said.
“Well, Murklash now knows I am definitely here.” I said, fear was no longer absent in my voice.
“I will find you… You will pay… You know those monsters? Every one of them will have only a bit of the pain you will feel!” Murklash said angrily.
I flinched, those creatures had suffered. But Murklash only wanted to experiment on them. Murklash wanted to kill me. Murklash started running everywhere, their next move was unpredictable but they would find me soon enough if I did not go. So I decided that it was better if Murklash saw me and chased me instead of finding me and trapping me. I darted and Murklash saw me and started running after me. I tripped and Murklash caught me.
“You… have… my… ILLUMINA!” Murklash screamed and tried to pin me down, but I rolled to avoid their snake-like hands.
I started running, but Murklash was faster. As the moon came into view, I had one option left. Murder. I thought that maybe if I used the Illumina, I would be able to kill Murklash.
“Wynne! I know this is a bad time, but earlier I saw these darts. I looked at the label of the box and it said time to sleep.” Grandfather said.
“Right! Where is it?” I asked, running out of breath from dodging Murklashes attacks.
“This floor, and the room across from us,” Grandfather said.
“Okay! How do I get into that room without getting caught?” I asked.
“I will blind them for a bit.” Grandfather said.
So, as I ran, grandfather started to get ready. We reached the room, and the plan went into action. Murklash was blinded, then tripped. I fled into the room, and found the box. I grabbed a dart, and pierced Murklashes tongue, and they instantly fell asleep.
“What now?” I asked.
“Put him into one of the boxes on the first floor,” Grandfather said.
“You cannot mean-” I said, shocked.
“I do mean where the creatures were missing skin. They are alive, it will not kill Murklash, but they will be rendered helpless.” Grandfather said unfeelingly.
So I dragged Murklash down the stairs, and opened the empty glass case. The only empty one. To my surprise, the liquid did not spill out. So with a bit of help from the cloak, I put Murklash inside. I closed it, and started on my way to the opposite side of the island. I found a nice comfy spot at the barn, and slept in the empty spot where no animals resided. I fell asleep quickly, and woke up the next morning still alive. I had not eaten, but I was not hungry. The cloak was charged enough to carry me on another journey, so away I went.
