I woke up, and got myself together as today I would need to restore the fake celestial being. As I was getting ready, grandfather spoke.
“Are you planning to restore this being and your mother today?” Grandfather asked.
“Yes, why?” I asked.
“That is a bad idea.” Grandfather said flatly.
“Why?” I asked.
“Legend says you die from exhaustion if you try to do it.” Grandfather said.
“Just like the legend of the siren tree?” I asked, doing my best to prove a point.
“I am just saying.” Grandfather said.
“Fine, I'll go to sleep once I restore the fake one.” I say, annoyed.
Grandfather seemed to have a worried aura, which worried me, why was grandfather so nervous.
“Why are you worried?” I asked.
“This is dangerous, and I worry you will not survive.” Grandfather said.
So much for being comforted. I went on my way, and soon heard the beast shrieking. I was horrified when I saw it up close. But I needed to pursue, and yet, I had no idea what I was doing. Suddenly, an overwhelming feeling to touch the celestial being filled me. I knew the beast was quick, and I knew it would not work without saying something, since that was the only other thing I could do. But what would I say?
“What do I do?” I whispered to my grandfather.
“Well, I think you touch the eye, then say something.” Grandfather said giving me information I already knew, other than that now I had to touch the eye.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
“Well what do I say?” I asked.
“Well legend says-” Grandfather said before I cut them off.
“I don't care what the legend says, I want true answers!” I whispered.
“Well legends is all we have, so that is about as true of an answer as you are going to get.” Grandfather said.
“Fine, what does the legend say?” I asked.
“The legend goes like this ‘You shall touch the most vulnerable part of thy beast, then thou shall speak thy words of old, veire u lytrio.’ from what I have learned, that means, ‘heal thy lost one’ it should work.” Grandfather told me.
I decided it was all I could do, but as I was about to do it, I had realized the beast had not noticed me, and therefore left where they previously were. So we searched for the beast, which was not very difficult to find. I was ready to go, so I rushed forward, attempting to reach the eye. The beast had noticed me much too early, so I needed to beat it, or atleast out smart it, and how hard could that be? I remebered the cloak had power, so I flew staright up, and tried to dive towards it, which did not work, as the beast used its wings to sheild the eye. I landed in a tree to catch me breath for a few seconds, flying up and down quickly seemed to take its toll on me in the forest. I dodged one of its wings, and managed to get down. I realized that the Illumina blades could help me, but I would have to get to my bag first. I quickly did a few maneuvers, but then I realized, what if the blades hurt the person the celestial being used to be? Well, this was a fake one, so I could find out. I managed to grab the bag quickly, and flew around trying to find the blades and keep myself alive. I found the blades and hurt the beast whenever is tried to kill me, and what poured from its wounds was not blood, or anything like I had ever seen, it was pure white, and it was steaming. While hurting the beast a drop got on my arm, and gave it a horrible burn, which I ignored even though it hurt. Soon, the beast was on its side with only one wing that was not injured or cut off. Even though the wings were massive I managed to do it with a lot of effort. It was strained, and this was my chance, I flew straight at it, but it nearly hit me so I dodged quickly, with its wing just barely grazing me. It slammed me against a tree, but, it fell to the ground, as if that hit took a lot out of it. I managed to collect my bearings and launch myself towards it.
“VEIRE U LYTRIO!!!” I screamed as I touched the eye.
Suddenly I was blown back, as I was pushed back against another tree I passed out. When I woke up, grandfather was going in circles, and the beast had been transformed into just a body, no arms, no legs and no head. It was incredibly bloody, and it was nothing like I had ever seen before.
“You have been passed out for a while, and this has been rotting in the meantime.” Grandfather said.
“I guess I can't use my blades then…” I said, disappointed.
“It appears so, I think you should get some more rest, and prepare yourself for the true test tomorrow. I think you should also try and learn more maneuvers, only if you can.” Grandfather said.
I took some time to collect my senses, but once I had, I got my bag, and headed back to camp. The padding of the leaves on the forest floor crunched beneath my feet. Thankfully noise did not matter anymore, and I could sleep a little more peacefully. I looked in my bag, and found that there was no food left. Although before all the chaos rained down, I noted that there had been animals, so I went to go hunt. The animals were not hard to find now that the beast was gone, so I caught enough for dinner quickly. I went back and cooked the raw meat, and as the fire was burning, I had time to think. What I was going to do to save my mother? It seems like the only reason I managed to save that beast was because I could injure it. Also, how was I going to find my mother? I would have to go through the timeless gardens of Pax to find them, and sure I would hear the shrieks, but would I be able to make it out as well? What would happen to grandfather? Also, how was I supposed to feed me and mother? There was a lot on the line here, but I needed to persevere. The food was finished, and I wolfed it down. I was going to sleep, but then realized I should practice maneuvers. With the remaining energy the cloak had, I practiced until I could not stand, and went back and fell into an uneasy slumber.
