Which I mean, that's good. I just don’t have anywhere to store my things. I suppose I need to go search the other trees.
“Grandfather,” I said.
“Yeah?” Grandfather replied.
“Are there creatures on every island like ours?” I asked him.
“Not all of them are humans, but all islands have a creature that dominates it, like we dominate the Veryanara island.” Grandfather said.
“All islands?” I questioned, this island looked bare.
“Yes, the creatures that live here live underground, but be careful of your things, all island creatures might try to pickpocket you.” Grandfather said, I assumed while looking around.
“How do you know the creatures here live underground?” I asked.
“Look,” Grandfather said. I looked, and I saw these little humans with pointy ears climbing out of the ground.
“Oh my!” I exclaimed.
“You don’t look like an elf dwarf? Why are you here and what are you?” One of the creatures said.
“I'm not an elf dwarf, I am a human. I am here because my cloak ran out of energy and I had to land.” I responded.
“You flew here? My what a brave soul, we haven't seen another dominating species ever since the Blind Eyes monster came along ” The elf dwarf said.
“Come into our home! We must be careful, the Blind Eyes monster could be here!” Another elf dwarf said.
“Oh! Thank you! You are very kind, '' I said. The elf dwarf showed me a hole that was big enough that dad could fit in it. I climbed down to a scene that looked straight out of a dream. Large stone columns towered above me, wooden ceiling with colors all over it, with names of all the dominating species. I spotted an elf dwarf and then a human soon after. The floor was made from pebbles, and there were many holes that I saw elf dwarfs coming in and out of. There was a grand table with chairs of all sizes surrounding it. The table and chairs looked old, the human chair was made of Pawn Wood.
“It's beautiful” I said, amazed that the elf dwarfs had built this.
“Thank you, my name is Anwyn, what about you and your spirit friend?” Anwyn said.
“My name is Wynne,” I said, still amazed.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“My name is Davyn,” Grandfather said.
“Those are nice names, how long will it take for your cloak to charge?” Anwyn asked me and Grandfather.
“Enough time for me to eat and sleep, that is what my Grandfather said” I responded.
“Ah! Then, I might as well show you to a room and tell you the tale of the Blind Eyes monster, as you will need to look out for it during your travels”Anwyn said.
I sat on the bed, with the staff next to me.
“The Blind Eyes monster was this terrible creature that wreaked havoc upon us killing many. A monster with only eyes and wings every so often we would hear a human voice saying help me, but we were to scared to understand. I think it was a creature that was punished by the gods that may be human. Word got around the surrounding islands and people stopped flying and one brave soldier went to the temple of Pax to pray, but came back with one arm.” Anwyn lowered their tone.
“We know who the Blind Eyes monster is, those descriptions are as accurate to what we know as possible.” Grandfather said, as I was in too much shock.
“Mother…” I whispered.
“The Blind Eyes monster is your mum? That is sad, but can you fix your mother?” Anwyn responded to my whispers.
“That's what we are going to find out.” I responded whilst collecting my wits.
“You truly will need a good night's sleep if you want to save a person who was corrupted then punished.” Another elf dwarf walked into the room.
“Thank you very much! We appreciate the warm welcome.” Grandfather said.
“Right then, would you like me to show you the room we designed for spirits to charge their energy to the max?” The other elf dwarf said.
“Yes please!” Grandfather sounded quite happy.
After all was said and done, I went to sleep, listening to the sounds of my home. I missed my father, but I had a chance. I was not going to lose this, because if I went home without mum, I would be in big trouble with everyone. But home was the only place where I would ever find humans like me. I would have to get used to being an outcast. I slept peacefully and quietly.I woke up the next morning, but it was late since we were underground and there was no sun to wake me up. I got my self dressed, packed everything up, and then went into the main hall. The same beautiful sight still there, but, this time, I noticed breakfast food at the chair for humans. So I walked over and ate.
“Good morning Wynne, I hope your ready for departure today” Anwyn said, taking my dirty dishes away.
“Thank you Anwyn! I am ready, thank you for the warm welcome.” I shouted so that Anwyn could hear me.
Anwyn nodded their head, and went into one of the holes. I got up, and saw the elf dwarf that had taken grandfathers staff yesterday.
“Hello Wynne, here is your Grandfathers staff, safe travels!” The elf dwarf said.
“Thank you!” I responded as the elf dwarf walked away.
“Good morning Wynne, lets be off on our travels, we got very lucky with these elf dwarfs. Some dominating species will not be so friendly.” Grandfather said.
“Morning, also, thanks for the pep talk. Anyways, lets go!” I said.
We found the hole for humans, and I quickly climbed out back onto the prairie. It seemed crazy that there was a whole civilization below me, but I quickly walked towards the end of the island, which indeed was quite far. But I got there. The white fluffy clouds I had seen before were a little darker.
“Wynne, be careful. You are no where near experienced enough to fly through storms.” Grandfather warned me.
“I will try! Believe me, I can do anything!” I said, sounding more confident than I was. I jumped. . .
