Third Person View

Zero wakes up after experiencing that dream of the past. He feels so many emotions. He has not thought about his past life in a long time. He touches his face and sighs. He notices that Jasmine and Ashely are still sleeping on each side of him. He realizes for a moment. In this life, he does not have to be alone.

He is a new person, and at the end of the day, it is time for him to move on from his past. Luna is also out there somewhere. He does not know why he knows that, but he can feel it in his being that she is somewhere out there waiting for him. Well, knowing her, she is looking for him at this very moment.

Zero gets up from the bed and starts to wash his face and clean himself. He realizes he still has to deal with this job with the goblin camp. As he begins to wash, Nova wakes up, jumps out of bed, and yips at zero. He sighs, picks up nova, and places her on his head. "You like being on my head, don't you, Nova." He feels that nova is heavier than usual, and he takes her off his head and looks at her closer.

She has three tails instead of one now, and one has a dark tip instead of the usual white tip." Interestingly, Jasmine and Ashley said that a Familar would grow and evolve as the user gets stronger and bonds. Well, maybe it is because of that dream I have. You saw my dream, nova, well. I finally accepted that I wouldn't be alone in this life. After all, I have you and Jasmine and Ashley." He looks at Nova, who nods her head and yips, and gives him some licks on the face. He laughs and places her on his head again, and gets dressed.

He goes downstairs to get breakfast for himself and the girls. He sees Jim at the bar dealing with a customer, and as he finishes, zero goes to him."Hello, Jim. I came down to get some breakfast for the girls and me. After all, we have a big today dealing with the goblins and who knows what else."

Jim nods and passes over a tray with three plates with a full breakfast of eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon. He thanks Jim and heads upstairs to the girls carrying the breakfast tray. He knocks on the door and hears a come-in from one of the girls. Zero walks in with the breakfast tray and sets it on the table.

Zero and the ladies all sit at the table and enjoy their breakfast. " So what is the plan, girls? I was thinking we scout out the forest where the goblin camp was spotted." He says and then eats some eggs and hashbrowns."I was thinking the same thing because, judging from the information we got yesterday, we are dealing with an unknown threat. But after eating, we should head out that way and see what is happening." Jasmine says as she eats her breakfast.

Ashley, on the other hand, Ashley looks at Nova on Zero's head and yells, " Nova has three tails! You must have bonded with her more already. That is amazing! Now she can finally grow with you as you go up the tiers of power."She has an excited expression on her face for a second. Zero thinks he sees stars in her eyes.

Zero and the group head out of the inn and south of the town in the forest where the reported goblin camp is. They try to walk as quietly as possible in the woods to scout the area and not worry about being spotted. Zero has an idea and uses his shadow magic for the group to blend into the forest's dark areas and muffle their steps.

They continue walking in the woods for about an hour away from the town. Until they see something in the distance, The group sees a bunch of little tents made of cloth held up by sticks in the ground. There is also a little campfire, and at the end of the group of tents, there is a big cave.

There seemed to be ten little tents, and you could see about Ten goblins around the campfire, some sitting and some around it, messing around with each other. Zero whispers to them."You take those five on the right."He points to the ride side of the campfire with five goblins. "I take the other five on the left." he points to the left.

Ashley and Jasmine rush to the right of the camp while Zero runs to the left. Ripper comes out of his Shadow and makes a breath of wind magic out of it, and Nova makes a breath of frost and takes out two of the goblins.

Zero slashes at one of the necks of the goblin. The head comes right off. He raises his left hand and makes a dark puddle appear on the floor of the two goblins left, and they start to sink into it. He looks at the two left and slashes their heads off with ease. He looks over to Ripper and Nova; their goblins are dead.

Nova monster seems frozen to death, and Ripper looks like he has been cut in two.'I hope this does not affect the price of selling the corpses at the guild.' He looks over to the right side of the camp, and Ashley and Jasmine seem to be done with their goblins as well. The group walks around the camp to see if more goblins are in the area.

They decided to investigate the cave, which seemed to be massive, as they got closer to the entrance. The cave looks like it was forcefully expanded with brute force in the entrance; inside, it was also deep and had a lot of space. The reports of something living here could be accurate. The group continued deeper into the cave. It was getting darker as they kept going deeper.

Ashley decided to light a little flame in her palm. Zero, however, could see by focusing his shadow and dark magic in his eyes. Sticking close, they continued on the path deeper into the cave. As they went deeper, they heard a noise that sounded like snoring from a massive creature. They can feel big gusts of wind coming from deeper into the cave. Whatever was in this cave was sleeping.

They finally see what the monster is. It is a large green humanoid creature with a club and a loincloth. It looks like a goblin, but it is about ten feet tall. The muscle mass also looks like this creature can make devastating hits.'This thing has to be a troll, probably. This thing could probably kill us with a significant direct impact.'

The group back up from the troll slowly so they can talk about a plan to kill it without waking up the troll. They head back to the cave entrance and reach it with no problem. The group sighs in relief that they did not wake the troll.

"Okay, we need a plan because that thing is too big to kill head-on without thinking first" Zero looks at his scythe. " Do you guys have any weapons that can do long-range or maybe have some spells that can be used long-range."

Ashley and Jasmine show him a bow with a quiver of arrows on their person." The plan is to wake the troll by shouting into the cave. while it comes out of the cave, I will be on the frontline facing it while you two shoot arrows and spells." Ashley and Jasmine move fifteen feet from the cave and ready their bows. Zero looks at the inside of the cave nervously.'I hope the plan works well, or else I am fucked'. "Hey!, Wake up, fat ass!"

You can hear a giant roar coming from the cave. As the roar happens in the cave, the ground starts to rumble, and you can hear heavy stomps from the cave. Zero backed up a bit with Ripper and Nova at his side. The entrance begins to shake, and out of it comes the hulking giant troll that looks at Zero with an ugly glare with its massive club in its right hand.

It takes two steps out of the entrance to get closer to Zero and swings the club at the group next to him. He sidesteps out of the way and looks at the small crater it left with that swing.'I am so fucked. If I survive this, the Mayor will die for giving us the wrong information. Zero readies his scythe, looks at the troll and starts rushing toward the monster. 'Well, this is going to be a pain in the ass. I can tell already.'
