Zero, Jasmine, and Ashley go to the lobby of the guild, which has a lot of tables all around the common room on the second floor of the common room there is a board that has papers sticking on it which seems to be a Job board where people can choose a job and be paid for it when they complete the job. The monster bodies also would be a bonus after the job.

Zero and the two ladies take a table in the corner of the common room. Nova jumps off Zero’s head and lays on the table while Ashley and Jasmine sit.”So Zero, can we ask you what just happened on the field? When you were fighting that man, you used some brand New magic we have not seen before, and also, you could use wind right after you killed him. Also, you were showing emotion when you were fighting.” Jasmine asks Zero while Ashley pets Nova and plays with her with a little flame in her hand.

“Well, you see, my magic is darker aspects of life itself in which it affects my personality, especially death affects more than just the user's personality. It affects the soul and the soul of others. I can use the souls I kill as a tool for myself, but I was trying to make him feel despair and change in the fight so he would give up. However, the thing about darkness is that it can protect and can cause agony”. Zero then uses his dark magic around the orb, and it starts to shiver and dim more and more. If you are close to it, you can hear the screams of the man on the field as the darkness covers more and more until it stops.

“Now, what I plan to do with this is simply really my first shadow had made out of a wolf that I killed when I was by myself. I made it my first shadow. Now my plan is to make them both combine, making the wolf I killed in the main soul in control while the other is slowly being consumed and his element will be in the wolf I killed, and then I can use the wind element, but in my current tier it is very limited I can only use it to empower my weapon or make a wind slash with my weapon sadly.” Zero shows them another white orb, but this one has a bit of darkness in the middle of it. Then you see the two souls connect and the soul of the man slowly gets smaller and smaller until it is absorbed into the wolf’s soul.

“Now, Ripper, my Shadow will be able to use wind and grow as I use more souls to feed him, and as he grows, he will be able to do a lot more with the wind. This can work with almost any element. Also the blood spell I used well it was a spell that makes his blood boil once it is on my weapon making them lose focus to the pain.” Zero explains like a teacher to the ladies while Nova has fallen asleep listening to him.

Hmm, let’s see, most of these jobs are cleaning.” Zero looks at the D-rank job section of the board and he sees some in the far corner that seems to be monster-hunting jobs finally.

“Well, let’s see, we have three options. We can go to an old mansion where it is closed down. There seem to be giant spiders in there that need to be taken care of. There have been many attacks in the past recent weeks. Then there is also another job where there are giant rats in the Sewer that has to be cleared out.” Ashley and Jasmine both look at Zero like he is out of his mind and glares at him. I don’t blame them I am also scared of spiders.

We take the job poster for the goblin camp off and head to the front desk where Jessica is where she is doing paperwork and dealing with adventurers that are also getting jobs. They wait their turn and finally make it to the front desk to get the job in the village. Jessica looks at them as they hand the paper to her and says “Well, Mr. Zero the ride to the village will be near the entrance gate of the town. Also for this job, you will be paid 1000 gold with any monster corpses you bring back we will pay. Please have a nice journey.” Jessica gives them a badge that is made of silver and says “This keeps track of your life signs just in case one of you die’s we will send them back up to you if this happens, you lose half the money of the job. Also, this identifies if you finished the job. Have a nice day.”

Zero and the ladies head to the main gate they also go to a nearby stall and buy rations so they can make sure they have food on the Journey just in case and then they meet a man that had some nice clothes that look like he is in a small important position and is trying to feel important but does not look the part.” Hello, my name is James I am the mayor of the village that we will be going to. I trust that you will be enough to get this job done.”James looks at them like they are not that impressive.

“Don’t worry sir we will get the job done why don’t we get in the wagon and we can be on our way,” Jasmine says with a fake smile. It seems Zero is not the only one who does not like this guy’s tone and how he looks down on us. We all get into the wagon to our first job as an adventurer.
