Third Person View
As Zero is sleeping and dreaming. We see a boy with black hair and emotionless eyes. The boy looks malnourished. He was pretty much skin and bones. The boy is sitting on the floor around a room that barely has anything but a bed and a desk with a chair. The room looks to be very old. The door to the room looks very old. Then the door is currently closed until you hear yelling coming from downstairs.
Then the door slams open, and you see a man that looks like the boy. The Man has black hair but is not emotionless like the boy but is very angry. He has scars on his arms and his face. He looks at the boy on the floor and says, " Zero! Get your ass off the floor and get me another beer, or do you want another lesson! I can't wait for your mother to return and take your sorry ass out of my house!" He grabs Zero hair by his hair, lifts him to face him, gives Zero a cruel smile, and throws up out the door and into the hallway.
Zero's body hits the floor, and he slowly gets up and goes downstairs and goes to the kitchen filled with dirty dishes and garbage-filled, and he goes into the fridge. The refrigerator contains all beer and other types of drinks and tv dinners. He grabs one of the beers in the fridge and sets one on the stool near the couch where the tv is, which is his father's favourite spot in the house since he can sit his lazy ass on the couch.
Zero's Father comes downstairs and sits on the couch." good job, boy, and don't forget to go to school. I don't want another one of those teachers coming here saying you've not been going to school at all. I don't want to deal with any cops coming in here. I am not going back to that hellhole again." Zero nods with an emotionless face and takes his backpack near the door. Also, he goes into the bathroom, brushes his teeth, washes his face, makes his clothes at least presentable, and heads out the door without looking back to say goodbye to his father.
Zero walks on the sidewalk to where the bus picks them up, but he decides not to bother getting on the bus. He would get into a fight again. So we walk to his school, which is only three blocks from the house. Zero keeps walking, and people in the neighbourhood look and whisper about him.
He hears one of the whispers, but he does not care. " That is the kid I was talking about. His father is a murderer that killed many people before. If that kid is anything like his father, he will be in trouble." A random guy says as Zero walks by on the way to school. He ignores them and keeps walking. It is always the same for him in this world. There is no hope they will always see him as a monster like his father. He wonders if one day he can see something new in his life, but hope like that is useless. After all, in this world, there is only darkness.
Zero finally reaches school. His school looks like an average public school typical in New York. He heads inside the school as he does. Many kids are looking at him, snickering or whispering about him. Some say he is that weird kid, and some are just laughing at how he walks or looks. He is, to be honest, used to this bullshit anyway.

Three boys who are bigger than Zero stops in the hall."Sup freak! I wanted to pay you back for Yesterday you punched one of my friend's face!" Zero hits his face and knees him in the stomach as he says that. Then, as the other two idiots look shocked at what happened, he kicks the other two in the balls. After all, why would he fight fair? It is three against one, so he better fight dirty as possible. As they all fall into the ground because of the pain, he kicks each of them while they are on the floor. He does this all while having an emotionless face.
Everyone in the hallway looks at what happens but says nothing, as this usually happens all the time. People always try to see who is stronger or making problems for others. Zero knows that if he does nothing, people will keep bothering him about some stupid issues he does not even want to deal with. He has enough problems back home with his lazy ass father, that beats him for the littlest thing. The only good thing his father has given him is that he knows how to fight dirty and take pain very well.
He continues on the way to his first class, which is math, where the teacher hates him for some reason. The teacher is a lady with grey hair and glasses and a big nose that looks like it belongs to a bird. She frowns at Zero and says, " You are late again, Zero. But what would I expect from a student like you? Even if you answer everything correctly and get straight A's, you still have to attend class on time, not when you want to. So what is the excuse this time?".
Zero looks and stares at her with no care in the world, which makes her angrier, and he says, " I was busy because some students wanted to fight me. After all, it seemed like that had a problem with me. Maybe if you did your job and looked after your students, I would not be late, but no, you come after me". She stares at Zero in shock at what he says and starts to think and frowns. Zero is tired of her bullshit today and everyone who messes with him. Deep inside, he has hope that things will get better someday, but he is starting to give up.
The math teacher gives up, sighs, and tells Zero to sit with the others. They continue class as usual, the same boring math class as always, and he continues sitting in the back of the lessons the rest of the day of school. He goes to each class the same as the last, with everyone avoiding him and whispering about him. He scoffs inwardly each time someone talks about him, like he is not there listening. School is about to end, which is always his favourite time since this is the only time he truly feels free and can do something he wants without being bothered by anyone.
As the last class ends, Zero leaves before anyone or someone can talk with him or, in his case, cause him trouble and get into a fight with him for a stupid reason. He leaves the school's front door and goes up two blocks, where there is a hill with a bunch of white flowers on the mountain with a tree at the top. He looks at the tree. It has white petals. He walks to the tree and gazes at it as it sways back and forth. He makes it to the tree's base, where he sits down and lies at the bottom of the tree within the sea of white flowers.
He continues to look up at the sky and the branches of the tree swinging side to side in the wind as he looks up at the sky. He wonders if he will ever be free of everything he suffers. The sky looks so free and fantastic that Zero sees birds flying in the sky. He wonders how they feel to fly so close to the sun.
As he continues to stare, he sees someone standing over him. A girl with white hair and golden eyes. Her eyes look out of this world. She looks at Zero lying there and smiles, and says, "Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Luna".Luna smiles at Zero warmly, and for the first time in Zero's life, he feels something in his heart, or is it his soul? He does not know, but looking at that smile, he thinks that something will change in his life filled with darkness, but will it be for better or worse?
