Zero rushes to the left side of the monster and slashes at his leg. The Troll's legs take some damage, but it seems more durable than the goblins the group killed earlier" Dang, you are a fat ass. I can see that we will need a lot more power to deal with you." Zero closes his eyes and focuses his magic on his weapon. The blade of his scythe starts to glow with a red aura." Blood slash!" He slashes his weapon, and a wave of blood travels to the leg he already damaged, almost cutting all its legs off." Blood curse…" Then the Troll yells in pain, feeling its blood burning." Alright ladies, fire at his face and eyes!".

As he says, two arrows hit the troll's face, and then a lance of fire hits the middle of its body.'Wow, that fire lance is pretty amazing to remind me not to piss off Ashley ever'. Zero makes a vow never to piss off Ashley, and he goes for the rest of the leg with another blood slash causing the troll to lose balance. The troll falls to its side after losing a leg. The troll tries to crawl away with its arms, but sadly it does not get far. Nova and Ripper make a combined attack that makes a massive gust of frost that covers the head of the troll.

Ashley and Jasmine walk up to the troll as it is struggling. Jasmine makes a water tendril and strangles the neck of the troll. It slowly tries to struggle, but with the constant pain of my blood curse, it succumbs to death from air loss and falls limp on the ground.'What is with all the women I know? They are all so bloodthirsty.'Zero walks over to the troll's body to ensure it is dead. He places his hand on the body to see if the troll has more lifeforce and feels a tiny bit left hanging on." Life drain" He slowly starts taking out green-like energy from the troll, which is finally dead.

"Well, that was very simple. Good thing we had a plan for fighting the troll." Ashley and Jasmine agreed with him. That troll would have been a massive problem for anyone if they did not have the correct information. The mayor must have known about the troll since they got information from the people around them. Well, good thing the group asked people about the goblin camp, or else they would have been unprepared and died quickly.

"Well, Zero, what should we do with that bastard of a mayor? He was trying to get us killed. Let's confront the guild about the job." Jasmine looked at the troll's body." This troll could go for up to 4000 gold with the goblins, and we will probably get 5000 gold with the ten goblins. That also does not include the assets of the Mayor 50 percent of them will become ours after we report to the guild." Jasmine gives a cruel smile.

As Ripper goes back into his shadow. Ashley walks to Zero and gets next to him more." Dear, did you see the new spell I learned? I decided instead of a fireball, I can make a spear of fire and have it pierce a person or monster's insides!".Zero nods shakily,' Jesus, these ladies are fucking crazy. Zero and the group take the troll's body in the bag holding. The group then starts to walk back to the town." So I thought, why don't we get a house to stay in rather than at an inn? I was also working on a spell to travel to places I have been to with my shadows." Jasmine and Ashley think hard on that proposal." Or we could save up for your Familars instead. If we pool our money together soon, we should be able to get you both one soon."

"We should invest in a house first rather than a Familiar. It would be best for us to have somewhere to stay. Since you are working on a travelling spell, then I think it would be better for us to have a place of operations so we can plan each job we do and also be able to have a place to stay and call home rather than spend money on an inn every time we go somewhere." Jasmine gives a long look as she says that.

The group agrees, and they leave the woods and return to the town, where they see the Mayor waiting for them.

"Oh, you made it back. Not that I did not have faith you would complete that you would be able to finish the job." he laughs nervously. "Well, I have your ride right here for you to return to the guild. Thank you for Finishing the job." He nervously points to the same wagon they rode here.

"Well, Mr Mayor, I want to say a few things."Zero pauses and gives the Mayor a cruel smile. "We found more than just goblins out there. We found a giant troll in a cave that was never reported. So we will take this up with the guild, and 50 percent of your assets will go to us. So Mayor, or shall I say James since I think you won't be Mayor for much longer."

"Wait, please! I could not afford to pay the request for a c rank job!" The Mayor falls to his knees and hags onto Zero's leg."Please! I don't want to die for just this one mistake and lose all my power! I can give you so much gold. We could just put this past us and never speak of this again." He begs with a crazed and desperate tone.

Zero looks at him with disgust and kicks him away."Like always, people like you want power, but they never care about another person's life and how they can make another person's life suffer with their actions."He looks at him on the ground."This is what you deserve. It would be best if you were lucky that you are alive now. I should kill you right now and be done with it." The group gets into the wagon, and the mayor screams for them to return as the wagon rides off.

The group relax in the wagon playing with Nova. They relax after a hard battle and dealing with that scumbag of a mayor." Well, that was very salifying to see the look of his ugly mug get what it deserves". They all laugh and smile at the Mayor's face.'I am a sadist because I like to see people like that suffer.'The group continues having a good time riding back to the guild.

The group makes it back to Ashwood village, and they head to the guild to talk with Jessica about what happened in that other town with the Mayor. They reach the guild and see Jessica waiting at the front desk, just dealing with paperwork. She looks at them and smiles, and waves them over.

"Welcome back from the journey. I hope everything was okay with the job. Sadly, we had someone before you tried that quest, and they did not come back. Did you meet them out there?" She looks at them questioningly.

"Um, actually, there was a problem with the Job. The mayor forgot to mention a massive troll on the job. Also, it seems like the Mayor has some secrets he keeps." Zero pauses and thinks for a moment." We would also like a big house since we would like a real place rather than an inn."

Jessica nods pulls out some paperwork, and looks over some papers." Well, there is an old mansion in the north part of the village. For some reason, it has been a while since a person bought the house. It only cost 3000 gold also. If you give us the corpse of the monsters, then it should be more than enough." She pauses, calls someone over, and says, "Also, the job you just took will be investigated, and you will be given half of the person's assets who gave you the job with false information. This will take a while."

The group nod at Jessica, and they go into a back room and dispose of the monsters they killed. Jessica hands them 5000 gold pieces and 1000 for the job. Jessica takes 3000 from the amount and directs them to the house they bought. The group walks to the location. They see an old-time mansion that looks haunted.'Why in the hell does something wrong always happen to us?'
