'Patch 1.1
Hey guys, it's god again. First of all, congratulations to the people who are still alive, hahaha! This game gets more and more enjoyable for me.
I will add a few more fun things with this patch.
First of is one of the most important things in RPG's. Who can guess what I mean?...Nobody?
Ok, then let me tell you. The first thing I add this time is the adventurer guild!!!
A branch of the adventurer guild will open in every human settlement, regardless of NPC or player city. Humans can register as adventurers as long as they are Level 5 or above. No fees have to be paid. New adventurers start at the D rank and can be promoted after a set amount of guild points is earned. The ranks are D, C, B, A, and S.
Guild points are earned through absolving quests. The points you earn depend on the level of difficulty the quest is rated.
Adventurers are only allowed to accept quests at most one rank higher than their own adventurer rank. For example a rank D adventurer is allowed to accept rank D and rank C quests anything higher isn't allowed!
You don't have to worry, everything I change will be seen by the NPC's as a matter of fact. They won't question the changes I make in my own game!
The next new things will be random events as well as a reward system.
These both go hand in hand, the random events might be a special type of NPC, or a whole group of NPC villagers getting chased by monsters. You can decide if you help them, or let them die...there may be a third choice? The way you solve these problems affects the reward you will get. You could take them in and add a group of citizens or experienced workers like blacksmiths, teachers or spies into your city. A good merchant who sells rare goods would be a big advantage for your city.
Another choice would be to kill and loot them or sell them to another city not supporting your city.
This brings me to the next point.
Guild headquarters
Most of the guilds were able to secure a city and start to populate it. These cities will be your headquarters/ hometowns. Your guilds will be connected to these cities meaning that special quests, like a massive defense battle or an invasion might occur. Maybe something like this will happen soon?
Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author.
The officially established city leaders/ kings/ queens will get a new menu especially for managing their cities. It will include statistics, like food produced, food consumed, taxes paid, population and so on. They also have a menu for items or units, that can be bought wit reward points.
I mentioned the reward system before, guilds, smaller groups and individuals can earn reward points by doing quests or other missions. They can use these reward points to get different things from their king, like equipment or even NPC fighters they can add into their guild.
A small percentage of the reward points given by the adventurers belongs to the king and can be used how he sees fit. The city generates a certain amount of reward points each day too, depending on the economy and functionality of the city. The results after a monster invasion will generate a good amount of points as well. If you kill a lot of monsters and/or kill them in a short amount of time, you will earn a lot of points for your king.
Guilds who already govern a city have a big advantage, because they have the menu and decide what gets bought with the reward points.
This also includes NPC and even some intelligent monsters. As long as they are city leaders, they get the menu and can spend reward points for many different things.
You can increase your factions territory by conquering small villages, ruins, watchtowers and even big cities, which will also earn you reward points. These places can be repaired and used again to increase your territories and stabilize your power.
If a king gets defeated, the city and additional conqueredplaces go over into the winners possession. I won't intervene during times of war, the best should be the winner!
Regarding the reward points, you can get them for quests and hidden quests, as well as through conquering cities, dungeons and smaller places or killing monsters and players/ NPC's who are at least Level 5.
Finally the cities you lived at before this game.
They don't exist anymore, because I transformed them into various types of dungeons. Castles, mountains, domes or caves, every dungeon will be different, including size, monsters, traps and items you can get. A boss monster will be waiting at the end. Also, the first group to clear a dungeon and kill the boss will get an additional reward!
If you ask what happened to the people inside the cities, they all died a few days after the first patch. Some were eaten, some died because they had nothing to eat. I announced before, that everyone should leave before the patch, but unexpectedly a lot of players tried to stay and hide.
Questions about the adventurers, or functions of the guild can be asked in the adventurer guild at your city. I added a new part in your guild menus, giving a few more informations about your guild headquarter and reward points.
If you want to see what happened to your former hometowns, go and look yourself, a lot of you are growing fast and should be able to explore their first dungeon soon!
Look out for monsters, NPC's or other players who want to take your city and strive to increase your own power.
Let me give you another piece of advise. Look out for people with the same intentions as you and build some alliances. You people don't know what your enemies will do, there is no problem with alliances or wars between the guilds, on the contrary, this would be pure entertainment! I am hoping for multiple big kingdoms on this earth to fight each other in the future until only one supreme ruler remains!
But until that happens I hope you will entertain me more Hahahah, have fun guys!'
