Sam thought for a bit longer until he got a flash of inspiration.
He looked at the corpses of the lizardmen and walked towards the first who had died. Sam knelt besides it and inspected the wound on its chest. The scales were still undamaged, they had just been pushed aside and had opened a path for the arrow to piece the body.
Sam stuck one of his inside the wound and bent it to pull out one of the scales.
He checked one of the greenish scales after he had successfully pulled it out. It was really light but extremely durably, what the fight earlier had proven.
" Hey , I think the rewards are the scales of these monsters. I bet an experienced blacksmith will be able to make some sort of armor out of it!" Sam declared after turning towards his comrades.
The others looked at the corpses as well and started to pull out the scales after agreeing with Sams opinion.
They needed a whole hour to collect the biggest and therefore most usable scales. When they were finished they decided to rest for a few hours. Sam and Kain used potions before falling asleep.
Jack volunteered for the first guard and Nissa joined him, still pressing a cloth against her cheek.
Jack looked at her and said " You should use a potion as well! A scar will be left on your face without using one."
" I don't really mind. We aren't done with this dungeon, who knows how long we will be trapped in here. We should save these potions for emergencies!" Nissa answered with a smile. She sat next to Jack and leaned against his body before she fell asleep.

Jack embraced her well trained body and continued to guard the only tunnel leaving this cave.
Jack woke the others up after around three hours. He assured them that he was still feeling well, therefore they decided to return to the last tunnel they hadn't explored until then.
Sam and his group walked back to the intersection and turned left.
They walked for another day, occasionally exploring different tunnels and killing more than a dozen orcs. Sam reached Level 12, Kain and Jack Level 11.
Apart from orcs they also killed another centaur, however no more lizardmen appeared.
The group took a break in another dead end and discussed their next actions.
" We have to find a way out soon!" Sam said in a worried voice.
His three comrades nodded without saying anything. They were all fatigued and only wanted to leave the dungeon.
Sam and his group had no water and food left when they stood up and resumed their exploration.
After two hours of walking they entered a completely empty cave. Sam looked around but couldn't find anything suspicious.
" That's strange. This is the first cave with nothing in it." Sam said and wanted to take a closer look at the cave , when

The floor flipped aside, exactly like in the beginning room of this dungeon.
Sam and the rest slid downwards for a few moments before they hit the ground. They immediately stood up and looked around to inspect the new cave.
It was a gigantic rectangular cave with torches lighting the whole place. Around 100 meters in front was a big throne with a monster sitting on it.
Sams group slowly moved forward until they could identify the monster on the throne.
It was a Minotaur! The red bull eyes scanned the newly arrived group. The monster stood up, presenting a frame of more than three meters height with a massive battleaxe the size of a full grown man in its left hand.

' This is a completely new league of monsters! We fought for many days, without a good rest or meal and now we have to fight an enemy like that!' Sams thought before he noticed something behind the monster.
"Look! It's a staircase leading upstairs."
The dungeon boss stood in the middle of the cave, raised its arms and gave off a thunderous roar. Sam and the others blocked their ears with difficulty and knelt on the ground because of the shaking cave.
This one roar made them lose their courage before the battle had even begun.
