Drogans Labyrinth Dungeon

Drogans Labyrinth Dungeon

' Attention! You have entered Drogans Labyrinth Dungeon!

Guild Chat is disabled inside the dungeon.

You are allowed to leave the dungeon at any time as long as as you can find the exit.

This dungeon hasn't been cleared until now. '

Sam read the message, closed the red screen and looked around the cave.

It was a dark middle sized room illuminated by a few torches hanging on the wall. Two tunnels lead away from the room.

"Why are Jack and Nissa not here? They should have gotten the same message, I can't believe they entered the dungeon after getting these informations. Which way did they take?" Sam spoke more to himself than to Kain.

Both of them walked towards the tunnels when the stone floor flipped aside and they slid down a crude made stone ramp into a dark abyss.

They hit the hard stone floor after a few moments.

" It's Sam! I wanted to contact you, but it isn't possible inside this dungeon. " Jack walked over and helped Sam up.

" I am glad we found you! We should have much better chances to get out of this dungeon alive with the four of us. To have a trap in the very first room after entering, that's fucked up!

Did you already check the surroundings?" Sam asked after he stood back on his feet. Kain gave a simple quiver with 20 arrows each to Jack and Nissa.

" There is only one tunnel leading out of this room. The stone ramp is to steep to climb upwards and the stone floor seems to close again after someone fell through. Our only way is through this tunnel!" Jack pointed to a dark tunnel at the end of the room. It wasn't illuminated, so Jack and Nissa each took a torch from the wall after Sam had picked one and followed behind him.

Kain walked at the rear to protect the archers in the case of a surprise attack.

The tunnels were three to four meter high and wide. The walls were rough with a lot of sharp edges.

They reached the first corner after around 200 meters. Sam looked around it and saw a moving light slowly going away. Sam turned around and signaled the others to wait.

He bumped his shields against each other producing a metallic sound. The light stopped and started to approach their group after a few moments.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Sam told the others to go back another few meters and waited at the corner for the approaching enemy.

He looked around the corner again when the enemy got closer and inspected the monster.

It was a an orc in heavy armor.

( Orc Warrior Level 10 )

' It is the first Level 10 monster I see that is no boss! The boss in here is most likely Level 15, maybe Level 20.'

The orc held a halberd in one hand and a torch in the other. Sam retracted his head when the light got too close and waited for the enemy to come around the corner.

He saw the tip of the halberd first and and charged before the orc got a chance to glimpse around the corner.

Sam ran at full speed and tackled the orc right when it reached the corner. The orc slammed into the stone wall from the impact. It let go of its weapon and torch but immediately tried to stand up.

Sam used his chance and slammed his torch directly into the orcs face. It wore a helmet, but this one only protected the head and nose, leaving the rest of the face open for better view.

The flames burnt its face. Sam continued with a violent stab to the face.

The orc stopped moving after being stabbed through the eye.

'Congratulations Sam Williams for rising to Level 11!!!You can distribute three stat points now'

'I actually got three stat points this time! I put them all into defense. I need to stand strong inside this dungeon.'

'Stat points allocated'

The rest of his group came over to Sam's side.

Sam took the orcs equipment and divided it between Kain and himself.

He took the helmet, boots and pants, which were all reinforced with thick steel plates.

Kain got a breastplate, gloves and the halberd which he strapped into his back next to his greatsword.

They resumed their journey for another hour until they reached the first intersection.

" Let's go straight for now!" Sam said and walked straight forward, not even looking at the right or left way.

The walked for ten minutes when they heard sounds coming from the front. Sam let Jack scout out the situation, his armor was too loud and would attract the enemies easily.

Jack returned after five minutes.

" There is a big cave 100 meters in front of us. I saw at least five orcs sitting at a bonfire talking to each other. Three of them have the same equivalent like the one you killed before. The other two are archers but their equipment looks much better too!" Jack told them what he saw.

" Five and maybe more Level 10 orcs are too much for us right now. Let's retreat and check the other two tunnels from before." Sam proposed to which the others nodded.

Not one of them felt confident in fighting five Level 10 monsters at this moment.

When the returned to the intersection they were all exhausted. Sam looked around and spoke.

" How about we return to the place where we landed and sleep for a bit? We have been fighting the whole day and that place is the safest right now.

We don't know what awaits us inside these tunnels, I would rather go inside a bit more energized!"

They walked back to the beginner cave where they had landed after falling through the trap door.

Sam kept the first guard. He sat next to the tunnel and thought about the dungeon.

' This will be a hard journey. If we had the chance to leave I would take the others out first. I hope we can find at least two Level 10 boss monsters here, so that Jack and Nissa can level up. I would be feeling more at ease with them being Level 10.

On the other hand, we will get a lot of rewards if we can clear this dungeon! That's really tempting. Some other group might find this dungeon and clear it while I am away to get a party for the clearing together."

Sam thought about various things. He wakes up Kain after three hours and lay down on the hard ground to get a couple hours of sleep.
