Shortly after arriving in Vaturn your Fleet is greeted with the first transmissions from Denus received in several Decades, the bulk of said transmissions largely contain questions from various flustered Officials inquiring over the Identity of the Fleet that just appeared in their System. Following the initial shock and several Weeks of Introductions and Explanations the permission to near the Planet with Representatives on board of a single Cruiser to meet the King in person was ultimately given by his Highness Ansiel himself.

While the Cruiser Harmony makes its way towards the Planet it bestows upon you a close-up of the grand sight that is Denus, one that only the Fortress-ring protecting Denus and the Planet itself can grant to a visitor in this part of the Galaxy. The ring in all its mass armed with countless pieces of Capital-ship-class weaponry surrounding Denus and its endless Woods, creates a truly majestic sight of a Planet in the Image of an Emerald embedded in Steel.

Entering the Seventh Hangar you prepared a few gifts and make ready to leave the Five kilometer long Cruiser that is the Harmony when you were informed that the Denusians requested to delay the Timetable. After waiting for several Hours it became clear to you that this waste of time is likely part of the usual Power-games on Denus, yet your first impression of the King would need to be a very good one to make up for this annoyance.

Ansiel (POV)

'Why now and not Two Months ago, when the Grand Duke was still in power?' You ask yourself while looking over the Fleet that the rings Augur-arrays just catched.

''Do we know who they are, and what they want?''

A. ''That would be a no to both your Majesty, as we just managed to contact them, and couldn't gain their Intentions and Identity yet.''

''Keep me up to date, and Alfred, you will prepare the Defences.''

A. ''As you wish, your Majesty.''

One Week later.

A. ''We have collected the intel you were looking for your Majesty, do you wish for the Information to be in delivered in written or verbal form?''

''A verbal report will do for now, so tell me Alfred ,what could you find out about our new Friends?''

A. ''Yes your Majesty, they call themselves the Second Expeditionary-Fleet, and are coming from Tras seeking to annex the Vaturn-system.''

A. ''The core of the Fleet consists of Three Capital-ships and Thirty Cruisers who are complimented with One-Hundred Escorts.''

'Great, so now we have an expanding Empire as our Neighbour.'

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

''When I looked over the Augur-readings last Week there were Four contacts large enough to be Capital-ships, what about the Fourth, was it a misreading?''

A. ''We still don't know much about the Fourth Construct seeing as it didn't move with the rest of the Fleet.''

A. ''After inquiring about it, we were told that the Construct is a Starfort, it seems they send one with all their Fleets as backup for cases where the taking of a Planet requires a prolonged Conflict as a means to keep their Fleets mobile.''

''We can't gain any more Informations through waiting, let them know that I give my permission for one of their Cruisers to approach, it's time to see what they are willing to pay.''

The Meeting-hall was clad in Red fabric with Golden accents and had a table made out of Oak standing in the middle. At the moment there were Twenty Guards of each Faction standing opposing each other to the left and right side of the Entrances, one row in Golden and Traditional Armour adorned with Images of Plants, and the other wearing Blue Power Armour with the only decoration being the Depiction of a Human Skull on the left side of their Breastplate.

The meeting begins with the Introductions of both sides Representatives, and is followed by the presenting of the gifts each side brought with them. The gifts from Denus side contained simple to understand Messages, there were Two of them, the First being an Index for the Flora and Fauna contained on the Planet, Ninety percent of them stemming from Earth, and the Second being a List containing the numbers of every type of weaponry at the Planets disposal.

The gifts from Tras on the other hand didn't contain any Messages, and were simply given out of courtesy. You gifted to his Majesty several History Books copied from the Libraries of Strabell, who were soon joined by Seven Transports worth of Chest filled to the brim with Jewelry and Gold, forming a mound impressive enough to silence everyone that might complain about your choice of gifts.

Minora (POV)

'He seems to be only Eight or Nine Years older than me, yet his choice in gifts is quite good, showing what treasures one can gain from him while presenting how those riches are defended.'

''Your Planet would be a great Asset for the Nelwell Dynasty if you are willing to join, but even so, as far as we understood it Denus was stuck rather hard by rebelling Nobility, I trust your Position is a save one, no?''

A. ''I can imagine that it would be, and yes the last Traitors lost their Heads not long before your visit.''

A. ''I trust you have the same difficulties in immersing yourself in pleasantries that I have, so I will be direct what can you offer us?''

''Seeing as we both prefer it this way please name what you wish to gain from being ruled by us, and I will see what can be done.''

A. ''I am not willing to be replaced, so I would wish to see the rule of my Family over Denus to be preserved no matter what.''

''Acceptable.''

A. ''The Nature of Denus has to remain pristine, after the downfall of Humanity this Planet might be the last place that was able to preserve a part of our lost Home, in other words we claim the right to decide how much of it leaves the Planet.

''Acceptable.''

A. ''The ring protecting Denus has repelled all assaults to this Day for several Millennia, this is to remain its primary function.''

''Under the condition that we can construct Shipyards around it.''

A. ''Acceptable.''

A. ''As of this moment we lack the means to trade on any meaningful scale, the price for our annexation are One-Hundred Escorts.''

''Under the condition that you have the crews ready next Year.''

A. ''Why do they need to be ready next Year?''

''The Ship production in the Empire occurs in Yearly thrusts, the thought behind this arrangement is that the Empire can project its strength in pulses instead of it letting its might melt away, making long term occupation of Shipyards unacceptable.''

A. ''Well, then it's Acceptable.''

'If it could just always be this easy.' (x2)

With this agreement you are completing the annexation of Vaturn and the trade agreement with Denus for the construction of One-Hundred Destroyers.
