Arriving in the outer edges of Hyperion your Fleet is greeted by Two squadrons of Pirate-destroyers, who proceed to open fire upon your Fleet apparently having no concept of effective firing ranges or silly things like Self-preservation. For reasons that if existent elude you, the ultimatum sent to them was also left unanswered.
The Pirate-destroyers instead choosing to continue their bombardment on the Fleet, a tactic that even after several Hours of effort left them unrewarded, and still failing to inflict the longed-for damage. Apparently having finally run out of patience the Enemy decides to instead move to close the distance, most likely going for a long-range Torpedo-barrage followed by a swift retreat.
Seeing as the Ships attacking you aren't using their mobility with the skill one would expect of a Pirate-Fleet, you seize the opportunity and order their Vessels to be boarded before they can carry out their maneuver. Considering that at least for the moment the gains of doing so simply outweigh any potential losses the Destroyers could possibly create.
While you're hoping to acquire a few Ships with the gambit, the strange actions taken by the Enemy are still very much on your mind. Pirates are Opportunists, engaging while outnumbered Eleven to One isn't something any Pirate no matter how mad would do. ''Was it a mistake to classify the Enemy as Pirates?''
Contemplating this question you watch as the Fleet in the endeavor of completing your orders, launches the bulk of its Fighters to overwhelm the Destroyers and lay the groundwork for the Assault to hit. With the destruction of their Defences and the simultaneous arriving of the Boarding-craft resistance against the Boarding itself was forced to cease before it could even be mounted, leaving the crews alone and scattered to defend against the full strength of your Boarding-troops.
The fighting was intense, with the Defenders being unwilling to surrender even in the most disadvantageous of circumstances instead clinging to each and every Deck. While you to some extent respect their determination the naked truth remains that they are losing badly, their men through lack of a larger organizational structure to support them are going down with a ratio of Eight to One soon leaving only the presumed Flagship resisting.

The mentioned resistance on the Lord Ixanus ceased following the encirclement and subsequent crushing of the Defenders on Deck Seventeen, where for some still unclear reason the most experienced Troops were deployed to hold it. Not to long after the fighting subsided you got the answer for why the Defenders actions didn't make sense, it is as simple as it is problematic, the attacking Ships were crewed by the followers of Khorne. The realization struck you when the last Encirclement on Deck Seventeen was finally cleared and their Minds devoured, revealing the presence of a giant pulsing Shrine covered in blood. ''That's just great.'' You mumble.
Nevertheless, once you had Hyperion's Fleet in your caring hands the chances of any successful demon incursions stemming from the Destroyers vanished into thin air. Leaving you free to deal with the corrupted Hive Worlds of Abotov and Sivos.
Given the amount of resources you have and the resources needed to take the Hyperion-system in a Ground-war you decide against it, choosing that instead of throwing your Men against their Defences you would have to cleanse the Worlds of the taint. The biggest problem with the flooding of the Planets in your Powers being that you aren't capable of differentiating between People on this scale, surely leading to massive casualties.
(roll16), (roll7)
Your fears have come true, the Death-toll to free the System of Khorn's corruption was indeed enormous leaving the Hives in an eerie silence covered under the Ashes of the fallen. The silence lasted throughout the landing, not a single Gun opening fire upon the landing Armies of Pebillon.

After your show of force the filling of the formalities became a rather simple undertaking, for there was no longer a need for long discussions and speeches about your Dynasty needed to gain the compliance form Abotov and Sivos. In fact, everything went so smooth that the biggest problem left concerned the freedom of faith, and seeing as the Tech-priests converted everyone they came across with Religious zeal it was clear that granting it wouldn't be a problem.
With the Hyperion-system now under your control and compliant, it's Resources and the shrunken not One-Hundred percent by choice joining Populace became the newest part of your Empire.
