Wake Up As Mafia Boss Chapter 25

Meanwhile, the two teenagers had arrived in the tunnel. Hermes noticed the sign hanging in the corner. It stated a warning ‘Don’t enter. Smells so shit!’. He just slightly amazed how diligent the man who wrote it.

“Mr. Aljen, please step aside.”

“Oh, what’re your going to do then?”

“I’ll show you,” in one clap in the surface, it created a big path in their way. It separated the feces, plastic and other trashes lay scattered nearby yet the smell was terrible to their nose.

"Nice. Now let's go."

"Yes."

As they almost in the middle of the tunnel, Hermes noticed the young maid was zigzagin so he lend her his handkerchief. She appreciated his offer but she politely refused as it would get dirty by her hands if she used it. Irritated from her answer, he gently grabbed her right hand and placed his handkerchief in her palm, covered it tightly in order for her unable to resist it.

“Use it. You won’t even survive if you sniffed this trashes. If you keep resisting this one, you will become a burden to me. Don’t let this dirty things ruined your sense of smell.”

Confused and stiffened, she was surprised of what he said. She never even knew this man yet he was deeply worried about her condition. She smiled and gave in.

“Thank you very much. I’d make sure to clean this.”

“Don’t bother ‘bout it. It’s just only .50 Luzers that can easily buy in the public shop though.”

“But still, I’ll return this one once we save my siblings, Mr. Aljen.” A familiar smell sniffed when she covered her nose. The smell of a man she deeply in love with. Her face turned red when she recalled his face.

“Oh my, what am I thinking? This is Mr. Aljen’s handkerchief. This is not his property. What am doing? Wake up Zairena. Wake up.” she clapped her cheeks as it turn red than before.

“Hey, Ms. Zairena. Let’s go now.”

“Ah, yes. I’m going now.”

As they wandered in the tunnel, there were rats running and wasted water flowed in the canal. Hermes had fully adapted in the smell and cautiously kept himself on guard. Neither a mere weapons nor powers he had. Only he could depend on was the young maid who was one of the main heroines of the game. He envied her status and wished somehow he gained a power to defend not only himself but the other people he wished to lend his strength.

“Hey, as I recall you mention that you’re the elder sister of those twins. So you’redaughter of the village chief, right?” he asked, staring a conversation to make themselves in contact since they hadn’t arrived in their destination.

“Yes,” she smiled, “I’m the eldest daughter of Chief Zamor.”

Her smiled made Hermes blushed but he returned to his calm self and continued the discussion.

“So then, uh, um, eh, let me ask another question then. When I arrived in the village and met your father, he told me about the village’s past. It about the tyranny and endless stupidity of the last heir of the Archnemesis family. Hermes Archnemesis.”

Hermes noticed her face turned gloom when he mentioned his family name.

“Umm… I don’t know why my father tell you about the past. But please don’t let the story make you hate the Archnemesis.”

Hermes opened mouth and couldn’t believe what he heard.

“Huh? Why then? Don’t you hate the person who ruin your village endlessly?”

“Father just misunderstood and misinterpreted his action. He is not a bad person.”

“Wait wait wait. I’m confused. I thought he’s a bad person?”

“Yes, he is but it’s only because he’s the boss of that family.”

“Didn’t he attack your village?”

“Yes, nonetheless he had a good reason.”

“Didn’t he destroyed some good spots in your place?”

“Yes, but he just get rid the illegal merchants who are selling illegal drugs that ruining the lives of our youngsters.”

What the fuck? Isn’t that the same in real world as well? Anyway, let’s continue.

“Wait, hold on. Did he just do that because he had a chastity?”

“No.”

“Then, it means you hate his guts?”

“Yes! But that hate was not what you think it is. It’s kind of different.”

Wait a minute, Chief Zamor mentioned to me that I kidnapped his eldest daughter. Wait wait wait! Don’t tell me…. Nah it’s impossible. Hehe, so the original Hermes Archnemesis had a good intention of saving the village back then. It is only the villagers misunderstood what he showed of. Damn, those fools ruin his passion.

Hermes clapped his cheeks and made an eye contact with her.

“Do you really hate Hermes Archnemesis?”

“Yes!”

Hermes faced palm and turned around.

I knew it. She hate me!

“See. You hate him. You’re father mentioned to me that he wanted to get rid of him if he had a chance. Anyway, let’s take it aside, will ya?”

“Okay. Why’d did you start to interrogate about him? Do you know Mr. Hermes?”

“Nah, I don’t know him.”

“Y’know, he’s a good person. He’s a cunt and cheater but he had a good evil heart. I do hope he found his way in the heaven.”

“What the fuck are you talking about? Let’s forget about this and focus our attention in saving your siblings.” he immediately interrupted her and changed the topic.

“But you started it?” Zairena tilted her head and shrugged.

“You said it, then I’ll end this topic then. Okay, that’s enough. I just want to update my information though.”

“Hmmm?”

“Nah, let’s just move out and find the exit.”

“Yes,” she smiled and followed him.

They finally found the exit. They climbed in the stairs and finally reached the door. Hermes slowly checked the surroundings. They were already inside the enemies territory so it might be a good idea to keep vigilant and sneaky like a cat.

As they cautiously walked in the tunnel, a girl’s voice had heard in their ears. “Help! Please somebody help me!” she cried.

“Mr. Aljen,” she was worried about the girl’s condition and ended up holding his sleeves.

“Don’t worry, we’ll save her.”

As they approached in the scene, two men holding both arms of the young blue haired girl, begging her life to be spare. The other one had already topless and readied to rape the pity being. Hermes attacked the two without hesitation and knocked down them both by using the kitchen pan near him. Zairena used her earth magic to cover their mouth when he missed the last one unconscious.

“Wow that was easy. What’s going on to my body? I don’t feel scared when I did that.”

“Mr. Aljen. The girl.”

Hermes looked at the girl who had been crying and crumbling on her knees. She appeared scared and traumatized in what they did to her. Luckily, they arrived before the bastards stole her V-card. Her white prison outfit had a cut from its shoulder part but her body was still intact.

“Hey, hey, it’s alright. You’re safe now. What’s your name?” Zairena rubbed her hair to ease her pain.

“M-m-my name is Wendy.”

“Oh, how old is Ms Wendy then?”

“I-I-I’m twelve years old.”

“Damn pedophiles!” Hermes kicked the faces of the bastard who had been tied down by earth magic of Zairena. “You dare to try rape a young cute little girl? Have you lost your mind?”

“Mr. Aljen, please.”

“My bad.” Hermes put his hand behind his back but he secretly kicked once again the face of the moron.

“Do you want some water?”

The little girl started to cry and replied, “Yes.” Her kindness made her to express her emotion. After few minutes, Little Wendy had finally calm down.

“Thank you very much. Umm, uh?”

“Oh, it’s Zairena.”

“Oh my god, the famous beautiful maiden of New Fiona Village, Zairena Camelia?”

“Oh my, you don’t need to tell it straight to the person.”

Hey, hey, hey, you’re blushing so much, Ms. Zairena.

“Anyway, who’s that weirdo?”

“Weirdo?” he pointed his thumb to his face. “You call your savior a weirdo?”

“Umm, he’s not a weirdo, Wendy. I must correct your mindset. He’s just a travelling merchant with strange taste of fashion. That’s all.”

“Hey, that’s totally worse than what she said.” He replied and stomping on the ground in anger. “Change what you said.”

“I won’t.”

The little girl started to laugh when she witnessed their hilarious conversation.

“Oh, you finally smile. That’s good.”
