Overpowered Inheritance

Overpowered Inheritance

As I clashed with the (comodo) dragon a sense of fear struck me.

It's a fearsome beast that at even normal sizes could hunt oxes and buffaloes. It's claws could dig through my flesh with ease. A maw filled with toxic goo that will rot the flesh on my bones. Armor like hide against which I have no chance of inflicting a wound against. And worst of all, a fierce intellect which can judge what its up against. If I was dangerous it wouldn't have charged me.

Both my leap and it's charge came to a stop with a loud, dull thud.

Shoulders against chest and feet planted into the earth our wrestle for dominace started.

With terror in my gut I realised that unlike all the people I wrestled that nowhere my hands grasped they could get a grip.

I used both of my arms to push the four foot tall beast away from me. I looked down horrified to see multiple bite marks, even though they're shallow I know just how toxic each bite was.

Is this it? Will I die from idiotic recklessness? Was my choice to not back off truly not one of stupidity?

Is this the end?

Inheritance neutralised the poisoned status effect

'häh?'

The beast struck again, it's teeth leaving shallow marks into my stone hard skin and it's claws not doing damage that a cat couldn't.

"Pffffff"

Was it not the fearsome dragon that could cause entire herds of oxes to flee? But a mere imitation that couldn't hold a spark against the real deal!

"Hahahahahah!"

I burst out laughing, this was what I was afraid from? This is what caused me to be so overly cautios to the point where I abandoned my weapon?

It's not close to the dragon that I came to slay. It doesn't even have a intelect for crying out loud! Fighting it could be seen as an insult.

I squated which as expected lead to the thing leaping for my throat. I grasped it's neck with both of my hands and with a internal crunch put an end to its pathetic existence.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

You have slain a illusory cami, information granted

These medium weight lizards live at the edges of forests and their primary self defence is imitating the appearance of much more dangerous beings, if their opponent isn't intimidated they will use a venom with hallucinative and paralysing effects of which the victims will become completely helpless and have their throats ripped out by the lizard.

So I would have died if it wasn't for my Inheritance?

Yes

What even is my Inheritance?

Inheritance: ignorance of stone

Your whole bloodline is unaffected by status effects (that weren't caused by yourself).

Holy shit that's broken!

So I'm immune to everything, I have to abuse this!

I'm pretty sure this erases backliners from any plans involving me, I can't be chiped away at with poison- wait a minute.

'Why didn't my inheritance work against the ants?'

...

I swear I could see an image of an accounted hastily going through papers.

To awaken your inheritance you needed to fulfill the requirements.

'And those would be?'

1 activate all three racial traits

2 know yourself

3 battle of honor needs to be activated

Pretty sure you just forgot about it and try to cover it up.

... no

Look, I won't tell the monarch, if you're willing to leave a gift that makes up for it.

... would you look at that! 1000 Dyjn appeared out of nowhere!

That'll do.

Looking down the comodo turned into a lizard that barely reaches 1'7 in length, that explains why I couldn't get a grip on it.

Well time to make my way back.

----------------------------------------

"70? This little thing is worth 70 Dyjn?"

I was surprised at the high selling worth Üllra gave me.

"Their venom is a popular drug since its nonadictive and the paralysing effects stop people from hurting themselves or others."

Since its a venom that spreads through the veins instead of the tissue it doesn't damage the body unless some one overdoses. The effects of each amount are always the same since the body doesn't build up imunity, so as long someone doesn't put in too much venom by accident it's perfectly safe.

In other words, the perfect drug.

The only side effect is that it could cause anxiety, temporarily.

...

I'm not sure how but I got in a conversation with Üllra and I have learned that I can't win an argument against her. She gaslighted me into believing that purple isn't a color, for only a moment if I may ad!

"...I kid you not, his honest answer was:yes. Like what is that supposed to mean?!"

"Pfff"

"Uhm e-excuse me."

Looking back I saw the boy from earlier.

"I-I believe to have the answer."

"I'm all ears."

He took a deep breath and answered.

"Because they take slaves."

I shook my head.

"That's a sad and pathetic way to look at it. Come we will talk whilst we walk."

I opened the door that lead to the training area and both of us walked in silence. I walked onto one of the sand fields, drew my sword and planted it into the ground. I walked and then turned to face the boy.

"If I take one step backwards, you win and I'll train you. If you fail..."

He got what I was trying to tell him.

He struggled with the Zweihänder for a bit.

Then he approached me with raised blade.
