We were having breakfast which was much more generous than dinner.
"-and then I told him: do I look like I know what I'm doing?"
"Pfffff"
I was chatting with Alice when all of the sudden...
"Was that always there?"
I looked to where she was and saw a pillar of white rise into the heavens.
"How motivated are you on wandering towards the mysterious white tower that just popped into place considering all that is happening."
"Well there might be some valuable things there or even other people."
We decided to throw a coin.
But we don't have a coin.
"Fine, but you drive. I need to sleep."
"Fine."

"So it was a good idea to come here."
"Yeah, it was."
A safe place is quite the advantage and both of us knew that.
"So should we get closer?"
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"Yeah we should."
Its a white marble tower build in a combination of Greek and roman architecture. Not sure how high it is but I'm sure that even if something could fly it wouldn't reach the top in good shape.
We reached the tower and climbed out of the pick up. If this place is like how I think it is all the stuff that we brought with us will become obsolete.
A huge gate made out of the same white marble like the rest of the tower greeted us, literally.
Greetings! If you're reading this then you're the first to reach my tower! As a reward you will be given a 10% discount in the shops fir your first ten purchases!
-Monarch of the sun
"So this tower is owned by the monarch the system mentioned earlier?"
"Seems to be. If I'm putting the pieces together correctly then the monarch rules over all that reside in the tower."
"The monarch seems to reward the eager or those that take initiative. Should we play along?"
"Yeah why not, it's not like we have anything that would allow us to go against the monarch. Besides it probably has the biggest chance of survival, and if I'm getting things right then if we're the zealous little followers then we should be rewarded, or I hope so."
"Well, we have nothing to lose."
"Except our lives."
"Be honest, is that even worth anything?"
I didn't answer.
Instead I pushed the gate open.
What greated us was a spacious main hall with seats lined against the walls. On the other side of the hall there's a receptionist desk with two attendants.
They seem human but I know they're not.
Walking towards the receptionists was a bit awkward considering the distance between the desk and entrance. They didn't seem to react the slightest to the fact that I'm barely covered or that Alice is walking with a knife in hand since she has nothing to store it in.
The receptionists both clapped their hands together and greeted us.
"May the monarch shine bright, what brings you here?"
I returned the gesture.
"May the monarch shine bright, we're looking for a place to rest."
I elbowed Alice which, thanks to our height difference, hit her on the tricep.
After a puzzled look she also returned the greeting.
"If you walk through that door and successfully register then an room will be assigned to you."
I looked over to said door.
There was nothing special about it, it looked like all the other ones.
"Thank you."
"Nothing to thank for."
There is no reason to not show good manners, after all, they know more than us.
Walking through the door brought us to a snow white room with many signs pointing into many hallways
Combatants
Crafters
Merchants
Wisedomkeepers
Brewers
All right maybe not that many. I can guess what wisdom keepers do but Brewers seem rather odd, sadly I can't check it out.
Both me and Alice walked through the Combatants corridor.
Then, more signs.
Meele
Ranged
Arcane
Backline
We both went through the first corridor again with an awkward silence.
This time there weren't any signs but there were wooden chips with writting on them.
Physical
Elemental
Blade dancer
Fencer
Gladiator
Martial artist
And many others I didn't bother checking.
"So I guess our way splits now."
"Yeah, I guess so."
We stood in silence for a moment.
"Well, goodbye. We will probably never meet again."
I picked up the chip that physical written on it and then all went to white.
When I opened my eyes I got to see a simple room with a bed and wardrobe.
I layed down on the bed and simply layed there.
Then..
Level up possible, do you wish to level up?
I hesitated for a moment.
'Yes'
