I swung my greatsword at the dummies, which can fight back. Its good that the dummies move and fight since its good practice and their fists don't really hurt me. I don't even feel most of the hits.
I rellie more on my ears than eyes since my vision is from nature on shit. And I can even predict where they stand, sometimes.
If my prediction turns out to be false I swing my sword over my head and use its momentum to slash at a dummie I know is there.
I need armor since I can't doge shit for the life of me. The best I can do is block or parry.
My passive skill didn't activate, probably because I don't recognise the dummies as foes.
After cutting down the last dummie I could feel my arms bulging with greater strength, my skin hardening, my bones densening, my flesh becoming ungodly tough. I can feel my Stronghold skill digging deeper into the earth. Mistakes and corrections about my training fight came to mind as if they were always there.
I sheathed my sword and willed my information.
Lvl 11 (physical 10, meele combat 1)
So this is how leveling up feels when my physike isn't being written over? I let out a groan as I could feel my bones rubbing against each other. Fuck! My knees!
I let out a pained sigh. Atleast it stopped pretty fast.
I'm not happy with my edge alignment, most of the dummies were torn and crushed. Not cut.
This is enough training for now, I should go and try to hunt something. The day is young and I need money, a set of armor won't pay itself.
I walked through the corridor when I passed by someone. I wasn't surprised that other people have arrived, the tower can be seen from probably everywhere.
"Uhm, excuse me?"
I turned to look and was met with a pretty young fella, probably 15 or something.
Individual lower level, appraisal possible, appraise?

The boy shivered as if a ghost breathed on his neck.

The right for the Northern throne on the Lone land.
One's Inheritance is hidden from oneself and has to told by an appraiser that's at least 5x higher level.
'So if I wanted to check my Inheritance I would need to find a level 55?'
Precisely
'Huh'
"Yes?"
The boy stopped shivering and with a shaking high pitch voice exclaimed.
"I heard that this place has a guardian and when I asked the receptionists they pointed here."
The man who escaped earlier must have spread the word about what happened earlier, somehow. His voice was shaky yet he didn't stutter, he's afraid but pushes on regardless.
"And why would you seek the guardian of this place?"
He bowed as he loudly exclaimed.
"Please, will you teach me how to be as strong as you?!"
He probably doesn't know his own worth, the meele fighter passive skill tree probably goes to something like: Master meele fighter which makes him a master with every meele weapon. And if I'm not mistaken his silent boast will grow stronger with each level. There's also his Inheritance.
I would have no idea what his Inheritance is about if I wouldn't have studied every bit of mythology and superstition teenage me got his hands on. Teenage me was such a fucking nerd.
If I'm not mistaken then the baroness was abandoned on the island with only her children. After that, for the past 300 years the Fjord never froze again and with currents that could sink even modern ships she was trapped on a piece of land where the snow Queen is sopused to reside.
If that's true than he should expect a pissed snow Queen since she hasn't gotten a single sacrifice for the past three hundred years.
"Why do you want strength?"
"To protect those that I care about!"
"This place is save them being here is enough protection. Why do you want strength?"
"To.....because....."
I chuckled. My chuckle sounded more like a engine that tried to work with an empty tank.
"You don't need a reason, neither does anyone, just tell me. What makes ants so human? Answer me that Question and I'll gladly train you."
He looked at me, dumbfounded.
"Well? What are you waiting for? There should be a library in the tower."
He closed his open mouth and made his way to the lobby at a decent pace.
There were people in the lobby but I promptly ignored them. After greeting Üllra, who always returns the greeting, I made my way outside.
The outside is completely different from before. The concrete dessert was replaced with lush nature. Forests and hills that weren't there before stand proud side by side.
'Huh, that makes things...harder.'
I can't fight well in a dense forest, that's obvious.
So I stayed on the open fields where I can swing my sword freely.
...
I didn't encounter anything at all.
...
Still nothing.
...
Ugh! Something stung me on the neck! Was it a wasp or something?
I felt disy and before anything could be done everything turned to black.
