The monarch has chosen you as the punisher
hmm? Punisher? Do I have to enforce all the rules now?
Benefits and restrictions have been planted
After a heartbeat I felt in my temples I could see the red outlines of people in the distance.
A sledge hammer appropriate for my size slammed through my rooms door.
I guess this isn't up for debate.
----------------------------------------
"Are you sure this was a good idea?"
"Look, they weren't human. What were we supposed to do?"
"Couldn't we have at least tried talking to them?"
"And we ignored one of the rules of this place."
The third and final member of their makeshift group spoke up.
"What do you think that punishment will be?"
Then, as if on cue, a brute of ridiculous size with all his vitall points covered in darkness rounded the corner and charged towards us. Arco, the one who was against killing the receptionists turned to run.
He always was chicken hearted but this time I could understand his fear.
The brute keept charging without even looking at us, he knew we were here. I took in a stance and raised a metal plate for protection. Erwyn stood behind me, waiting for the brute to clash with me.
His steps keept getting closer until I could feel the weight behind each step.
Then we clashed.
He didn't use his hammer, instead he rammed my shield and kept pushing me back until we hit the wall.
I went limb, the pain numbed and then he pulled back his fist-
----------------------------------------
A good hit to the throat was enough to end him. They're weak, probably lvl 4 to 5, way to weak to stand against a lvl 10.

I turned to see the one wielding a metal rod shaking. He's hesitating because he saw my sheer physical strength and knows something as blunt as that will only piss me off even more.
But I wasn't hesitating. I swung my hammer.
He doged but that I was expecting. I used the momentum of the to swing the hammer over my head and take a step and swing again. He doged and I swung, never losing momentum.
Eventually his back hit a wall, announcing his end. I hit his leg and with a crunch he fell to the ground as he expected me to hit somewhere higher. I swung again this time his head.
The monarch rewards you for your service with 500 Dyjn
I stood infront of the mess I made. The bodies turned to dust and left behind where only crystals.
Corpse births, highly valued crystals only found from corpses than died in areas with an active arcane flow. Their main purpose is in crofting arcane devices or on Celestial pedestals.
So that's why violence is forbidden here, people actually have a reason to kill each other. But what about assassinations?
Any class that has 'stealth', 'poison brewing' or 'poison handling' in tgeir expertise will be kept under an close eye.
I picked up the corpse births.
The monarch forbids you to deal with corpse births.
I dropped the crystals and turned to leave. I noticed that the receptionists were back on their feet. Impressive recovery, I must admit.
I decided to show good manners.
"Are you alright?"
"Yes, we won't die as long the heart of the tower still beats."
They spoke in unison as if their one and the same being.
"That's a relief. I don't want to sound rude or anything but would you know where I can perhaps get something to eat?"
The two receptionists looked at each other and smiled.
"That door leads to what we call the plaza, it has everything you need gear, consumables, food and even workshops."
Whilst only one of them pointed at the door they both spoke in unison. They spoke more casual and with a warmer tone, as if their comfortable with me.
"What should I call you?"
"Call us Üllra."
After thanking Üllra I made my way to the plaza, I guess I can check out how much a Dyjn is worth. The corridor is longer than the ones in the livings district but when I stepped into the plaza I gasped in awe.
It was as if I was outside, the sun shone from above, wind yes actual wind blowed through the dirt streets and there were people but they weren't human.
Unlike Üllra they don't even try. Things that can only be described as lizard and beast people moved planks and boxes around. Beings who's bodys I couldn't properly see stood behind what I can only describe as glorified stands. And...is that a fairy?
"Greetings! You must be a member of the newcomer race am I right?"
I was taken aback for a moment. But only a moment.
"Y-yes I am. Most of this is still...foreign to me so I'm not exactly sure how to react to this."
If course they know what's going on, why wouldn't they?
"Well, take your time. Since you were able to get here you must be an classer, so if you don't mind sharing what class you are."
The fairy gave me an innocent smile and I returned the smile.
"My class us like a mud covered boulder on top of a hill, what about yours?"
Her smile grew.
"My class is like a fox who puts flowers infront of its den."
