As the sun slowly descended to the western horizon, signifying the arrival of nightfall, the ghostly orbs of light began to dissipate.
But all of a sudden, the door of the hut was pushed open, just as the last last orb of ether vanished, plunging the whole chamber into darkness.
"Who is there?" Lynn jumped up, raised his hand and threw out a magical ball of light. Immediately afterwards, a longbow appeared in his hand, aiming at the direction of the door.
"Light magic?" The visitor asked in surprise as the ball of light lit up the room. "You can already conjure light flares?"
"Master?" Lynn was shocked, and quickly put away his bow and arrow, but he was in a panic. He thought to himself: This was bad. Why did he use the light magic just now? "I didn't know you were coming."
Baldwin stared at the boy, his eyes flickered a few times, and he said. "Come with me."
Lynn stabilized his mind, dismissed the ball of light, then lowered his head and followed Baldwin all the way to the master's abode.
Entering the room, Baldwin closed the door, walked to the table at the centre of the chamber and sat down, his eyes always fixed on Lynn. However, Lynn lowered his head and stood at the end of the table in a state of confusion, not daring to speak.
Lynn didn't know how long it took, but he only felt that every second was as long as a year. Neither of the two said a word as the mage master seemed to be thinking about something in his mind.
"Lynn, you are hiding something from me, aren't you?" After a long time, Baldwin finally broke the deadlock.
Lynn lowered his head, thinking to himself: This is going to be a difficult discussion. He was already found out. What should he do?
"Alright." Baldwin continued. "If you don't want to say it, then I'll ask you something. You just need to answer yes or no, okay?"
"Yes, master."
Baldwin paused and said, "Is your body the legendary divine saint, yes, or no?"
Lynn lowered his head and said nothing. He thought to himself: He just wouldn't say anything but would just pretend to be ignorant of it all.
Seeing that Lynn didn't respond, Baldwin didn't force him, and then said. "Alright then. If you don't answer me, that means you're acquiescing. Not only do I know that you have a divine body, but also that the way you're harnessing ether was a long forgotten, but extremely powerful system known as the Eventide."

"Master, do you also know about the power of this system?" Lynn suddenly raised his head and asked in surprise. In fact, it was no wonder that Lynn was shocked when he heard master Baldwin mentioning the method due to the fact that it was an archaic method shown to him by the Remnant. How could his master know about this method?
Lynn's heart was filled with question marks. But soon, he was shocked by something hanging on the wall that he saw through the corner of his eye.
"Actually, I didn't know this system really exists in this world." After hearing Lynn's question, Baldwin laughed, and seemed to have finally confirmed one thing, and said mysteriously. "But now, I'm certain it does."
Baldwin went to the library of the academy to find information about Lynn's special way of harnessing ether, and it took him several days to search the library, but unfortunately he found nothing.
After that, the mage went directly from Profound Academy to the Alcoves in the city. After several days of searching, he also found nothing. However, when he was disheartened and was about to come back, he met an old acquaintance, an elder named Murdock.
Because of their close relationship, Baldwin mention Lynn's method of conveyance to the old diviner. After the elder heard the dilemma, and thought for a while, he told Baldwin a legendary tale.
Many years ago, there was a legend being told by the former grand elder. It was said that thousands of years ago, a conveyor, precisely a mage, with a divine saint body appeared on the mainland. This mage created an ether harnessing method after he became a divine mage, which could be done when dark and light energy of the sun and moon alternated in the sky.
When harnessing ether during this period, it would mobilize the universal energy of the world into orbs of lights to strengthen the body, thereby achieving rapid improvement in the power base of the conveyor. It was called the Eventide.
But there was a catch. This kind of exercise could only be practiced by those with the bodies of a saint. But how could many conveyors have a saint body? Not many. A saint conveyor might not even appear in thousands of years.
Therefore, after this system was created, it was not passed down to the next generation. Gradually, it became lost to time. Ever since, nobody knew if this kind of method was real or made-up. Whether it really existed or not, there was no way to verify it. Only its legend was left behind.
After hearing this tale from the former grand elder, he, Murdock, only regarded it as a legend and did not take it to heart. Ever since, even during discussions among the elders, the legend was never mentioned.
After Baldwin returned to the school premises, he didn't take this old legend seriously. So when Calder asked about it, Baldwin just shook his head, saying that there was no development.
But after a day, the more he thought about it, the more he felt that this legend was very similar to Lynn's method of harnessing ether.
So, in the evening of the following day, Baldwin secretly observed Lynn outside his room with his true sight for a long time, and finally came up with a way to set up such a plan to see Lynn during his conveyance time. As a result, he discovered Lynn's secret which really shocked him. He couldn't believe the legend was true.
Baldwin looked at Lynn in surprise. Not only was the boy using a system that was long forgotten, but he also had a saint body. Who was this boy?
