25. Meeting The Other Branch Students

"Zachar, damn you, you scoundrel!"

The young fat boy, who was sitting with his hands on his laps, stuck out his tongue when he heard the words, and said with a smile. "Yara, don't be angry. I was very hungry so I came here to quickly find something to eat before coming back to you. I know you really want to win today, but don't worry, you'll have enough time."

"Pfft." Yara sneered before glancing at Lynn. "Hey, you must be a new student, I guess."

"Oh, let me introduce you." Zachar saw that Yara was looking at Lynn with puzzled eyes, and quickly pulled Lynn to the front to change the topic. "Yara, this is Lynn. He just entered academy today. As you can see, we are iron buddies. If anyone dares to bully him in the future, I will definitely give the person a thorough beating."

Lynn was speechless for a while. What kind of students were here? A rude and eccentric one just left, and here was another one. But wasn't all this his fault for coming to the academy late in the first place? This new branch was already occupied by strange students. He nodded slightly to Yara and said. "Hello, my name is Lynn. I just reported here today. I hope to learn from you during my time here."

Yara smiled and immediately said: "Hello, my name is Yara. I hope we get along well."

Zachar put his mouth close to Lynn's ear and whispered. "Yara is master Baldwin's goddaughter. So you better don't mess around with her in the future."

Lynn nodded slightly, and told himself to put that in his long memory. A few seconds later, he saw Baldwin entered in from outside the house, followed by Maya and another young boy.

He saw that the boy was the tallest among the group of the young students. He had thick eyebrows and piercing eyes, and was wearing the uniform of the Profound Academy with the word "Branch" was engraved on the upper part of the left side.

Lynn saw master Baldwin called everyone to sit around a large table. After setting the food on the table, the chef, an old looking man, took off his apron, brought out his pipe rod and squatted down beside the door of the house. He lit the pipe, and began to puff on it, looking at the scenery in the yard.

Baldwin glanced at the chef, then turned his eyes to the group of young kids, and said. "Now that everyone is here, let me introduce you to one another."

"We already met." Zachar smiled, and pointed out.

"I know that some of you have met him, but not everyone." After that, Baldwin pointed to Lynn and said to everyone: "This is Lynn, who has enrolled into our branch today. From now on, our branch of the Profound Academy will have five outstanding students. Everyone please welcome him."

Lynn immediately stood up in the applause of everyone, nodding. He couldn't help but wonder why there were only four students in this branch? No wonder the place looked broken and small in size.

"Lynn has just formed his essence crystal, and I can tell you that I highly rate him as a conveyor. His essence power value has not been tested yet, but there's no denying the ripples of his essence. So, after the introductions, why don't we let Yara help him to test his essence power."

After Baldwin finished speaking, Zachar quickly stood up and said. "I'll go first."

This received a slight chuckle from the other students.

Then Zachar cleared his throat and continued. "My name is Zachar Wintergreen but you can call me Zach."

Maya lowered her head and whispered to Yara. "I think it sounds better to call him a lunatic."

"Hehehe." Yara chuckled, but said. "But I think Zacharoo sounds better."

The voices of the two were not loud, but everyone could hear them. Zachar gave the two of them an angry stare, and then said. "I'm nine years old this year, I'm a plant druid, and the value of my essence power is sixty two which makes me a beginner."

After Zachar finished speaking, he couldn't help but glared at the two girls, and muttered. "You two have no decorum."

Yara pretended not to hear it, stood up and said, "My name is Yara, I'm nine years old this year, I'm a fire mage, and my essence power's value is fifty five, making me a beginner too."

After that, the cool-looking boy stood up and said. "I'm Lester, nine years old. I'm a swordmaster and my essence power value is sixty one. I'm a learner." The tone of his speech was resolute and indifferent, as cold as his cool expression.

In the end, it remained only Maya who pouted and slowly stood up. "My name is Maya, I am eight years old, a water mage, and the value of my essence power is seventy. I'm a bronze conveyor."

Seeing that everyone was introduced, Baldwin immediately said: "Okay, since you all know one another now, you should be closer in the future, helping one another out, and winning glory for our Profound branch. Well, who's having any questions? "

Lynn stood up immediately and replied to Baldwin. "Sir, I have a question. What do you mean by the value of essence power?"

Lynn had never heard this term before. He only heard the remnant mentioning that his inner essence power was quite high. Could it be that he was referring to this? Since the remnant was recuperating at this time, he couldn't ask him, so he asked Baldwin.

Maya lowered her head and whispered to Yara. "He didn't even know what the value of essence power is. This is really pathetic. I don't think he needs to be called Lynn, he should be called Limbo, hehe."

Yara also smiled after hearing this, and poked Maya, motioning her to stop talking.

They stopped in time to hear Baldwin asking. "Lynn, why haven't your parents told you what essence power is?"

"I do not know, sir."

"Well, you're in right place to learn about this. This so-called value of essence power value is the strength of your essence crystal, the very first one you formed. It shows the amount of converted ether inside your body."

"Oh, I see."

"We can use a special instrument, precisely a power scale, to display the level of yours. The highest value is hundred, but since the invention of this instrument, no one has ever achieved a spiritual power above eighty. Like Maya, to be able to reach seventy is already a wonderful achievement on this mainland."

Hearing this, Maya raised her head proudly, feeling very vindicated.

"Thank you, sir." Lynn voiced n appreciation before muttering in his mind. So this is the value of essence power. I wonder what my essence value will be in comparison to theirs.
