Chapter 652

Chapter 652:

For so long, she had given and given in the Stevens family estate, only to be taken for granted by those who should have valued her most. The Stevens family had seen her as nothing more than a convenient afterthought, someone to use and discard.

But in that moment, with Kellan’s eyes locked onto hers, she felt something she had never known before. He saw her, truly saw her as something irreplaceable.

“I love the fireworks, and I love you too,” she confessed, her voice a soft murmur. Allison leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to his lips, her confession carrying all the emotions she had kept locked away.

But Kellan wasn’t content with tenderness. His response was swift, his kiss turning deeper, more insistent, as if he were trying to capture her very soul.

“Say it again, please,” he breathed against her lips, his voice husky with longing.

“Kellan, I said I love you—”

But before she could finish, he pulled her into a fervent embrace, their bodies sinking into the softness of the sofa. His hands cupped her face, his kisses growing more urgent, more demanding, as if he needed to drown himself in her, to fill every corner of his being with the taste of her.

The stars and fireworks continued their brilliant dance above them, painting the room in fleeting colors of light and shadow. But in that heated embrace, they were lost in each other, a world of their own where nothing else existed.

Four days later, Allison set off for Fleeingland.

In an effort to stay under the radar, she and Kellan climbed into a beaten-up van after their flight. Inside, a group of people who specialized in creating false identities were busy giving last-minute instructions to them.

“The Fleeingland Lab runs a tight ship,” one man explained, passing them gray-blue uniforms. “According to the identity information we provided, Ms. Clarke, you and Mr. Lloyd are illegal immigrants here to take cleaning jobs for the high wages. So, keep your story straight.”noveldrama

He looked each of them over with a serious expression. “Don’t blow your cover. If they catch you, you’re done for. No second chances.”

The reputation of Fleeingland was infamous — everyone knew the consequences of making a mistake here.

Allison nodded, accepting the uniform. “We appreciate the help. When the time comes, someone will be waiting for you.”

Before long, the van rolled into Fleeingland. The air had a sharp, almost metallic scent. In a nearby alley, Allison and Kellan quickly changed into their cleaning gear. They followed their memorized path, heading straight for the designated spot.

“Once we go through the first checkpoint, the electronic devices Gordon gave us will take care of the rest,” Allison said, her eyes locked on the distance. “After that, it’s smooth sailing.”

Ahead, another van pulled up. A group of seven or eight people in uniforms, along with a leader, piled out. They were clearly heading in the same direction.

Kellan squeezed her hand, a reassuring smile crossing his face.

“Don’t worry, I’ve got your back.”
